http://www.macrumorslive.com/about/ - pixelmixer, on 10/11/2007, -13/+7The "fancy web technology" they're using is called AJAX... alot of web 2.0 sites use it. Google is probably the most famous for using AJAX with gmail, google maps, etc..
- abandonedhero, on 10/11/2007, -6/+2Still comment spam. That hasn't changed.

The site w/ the automatic Ajax updating... - Light11, on 10/11/2007, -0/+12it would be cool if digg could get ajax front page updates.. or even like comments or something..
- n0ydz, on 10/11/2007, -14/+4Buried because Engadget is a Digg whore. This article offers nothing worthy of front page value.
- semeticstallion, on 10/11/2007, -7/+5And you offer nothing worthy of front page comment value.

- dan21328, on 10/11/2007, -5/+3Woot, one hour till! (minus 13 minutes). I decided to download all the HD Get a Mac ads from Apple.com and add them to iTunes to kill the hour. What a great day. :D
- digitalgopher, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4dude, I usually don't say these kinds of things, but I think it's fair to say that you seriously need to get a life... or at least go outside once a day.
- crazybrit, on 10/11/2007, -1/+3Looks like Gizmodo's going to have good coverage this year - no need to refresh, and they put updates at the top so you don't have to keep scrolling down.
- Rethcir, on 10/11/2007, -3/+11Engadget now has the capability to tank apple stocks in realtime!
- iZealot, on 10/11/2007, -6/+3Time for Steve Jobs to bring joy to all the boys and girls!

- AZTriGuy, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1I'm surprised that Engadget even got in after the stock-killing rumor they posted.

IM MISSING IT
~WHY ARE YOU SO EXCITED YOU OWN A PC!!
I DONT KNOWWWW - newave, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4live audio at http://www.stickam.com/profile/wwdc2007
- speedyrev, on 10/11/2007, -3/+2Games coming to the Mac. EA, iD...
- jstrahn, on 10/11/2007, -1/+5And just a shade under 15 years late. NOT BAD!
- pantsbandit, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Getting bf2142 a year after the PC should be really cool, and no crysis or HL2:Ep2, hell I want a mac NOW.
- seraph82, on 10/11/2007, -9/+5Christ almighty -- SO WHAT
- brstilson, on 10/11/2007, -3/+7seraph82 hates America
- meshman, on 10/11/2007, -4/+2Welp, so far, he's described a product called Stardock Desktop, available for Windows for years. Transparent docks, folder fallouts, animated 3D windows and effects... Sound familiar?
- brstilson, on 10/11/2007, -3/+8All of which runs on top of your normal shell, hogging memory and system resources. I've used the Stardock products and the OS X dock, and believe me, there is no comparison.
- meshman, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4You're talking about memory. I'm talking about bragging about something that's been around for a long, long time, like he just invented it. He didn't. More of the same done by someone else.
- brstilson, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1"You're talking about memory. I'm talking about bragging about something that's been around for a long, long time, like he just invented it. He didn't. More of the same done by someone else."
Everybody does it. Jobs has claimed Apple invented the GUI. Microsoft claimed to invent sub-pixel rendering. Hell, when I first saw the pictures of Leopard, I thought "Hmmmph, who's firing up their photocopiers now?" The inspiration for the dock was NextStep, not Stardock. Were they even around in 2001?
- matriculated, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2Whoa! Coverflow is part of the finder now! I remember when an Arsian was developing this app just for iTunes.
- Ub3rg33k, on 10/11/2007, -2/+2Although more games for Mac are pretty cool, so far this is completely underwhelming. Hopefully, there's something better he's saving for the end.
- Ub3rg33k, on 10/11/2007, -0/+9C'mon, you may dig me down, but you know I'm right.
Cool - 64 bit all the way, more games
Interesting - Safari on Windows
Meh - everything else
That ***** sucks - all 3rd party apps for the iPhone will have to be web apps. That was the weakest sell I've ever seen Steve pitch. - karlhite, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0/ dead on, dugg.
- Ub3rg33k, on 10/11/2007, -0/+9C'mon, you may dig me down, but you know I'm right.
- timdafweak, on 10/11/2007, -2/+4lolz WoW just crashed
- Ramble, on 10/11/2007, -15/+8All the stuff mentioned so far is in Vista.
- mywhitenoise, on 10/11/2007, -9/+5All the stuff in Vista, was already in Tiger.
- Ramble, on 10/11/2007, -8/+6All the stuff in Tiger was stolen from Longhorn demos.
- bigtizzle, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2My dad can still beat up both your dads. . .
- jakem1, on 10/11/2007, -4/+1Why digg Ramble down? You know it's true.
- whitesaint, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1stacks? time machine? spaces? pulease
- pantsbandit, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0lol, yea, cuz time machine is not a bad overly graphical copy of shadow copies (windows 2003 server/vista).
And I sure would not want stacks and a dock on windows, but have fun there.
- xb00t, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4Is there going to be a full WWDC movie on the apple website? When?
- alamandrax, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2should be soon. Last time it was about 7-8 hours later
- nogami, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2All this technology and they can't provide a live video stream of the WWDC, or even just an audio stream that doesn't sound better than a 1950s telephone system...
Sigh... - goodoldme, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Safari for Windows?!
- rebotfc, on 10/11/2007, -2/+10If that's his one more thing, this is a lame wwdc keynote.
- thurows, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Should have saved new MacBookPros for one more thing, definitely better than Safari for that other operating system.
- karlhite, on 10/11/2007, -3/+6wow. total *****.
nothing new, only disappointments. - teknobryan, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4Hmm, why would the Apple store be down since he didn't introduce any new hardware??
- Ub3rg33k, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4Too many Apple geeks flooding the site hoping to score some new stuff?
- teknobryan, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1It says they are updating the store.
- batmant, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1My thoughts exactly.
- rebotfc, on 10/11/2007, -1/+13Wow what a ***** keynote.
So disappointed - half the stuff we saw last year. - teknobryan, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4So what was the big "secret feature"??
- karlhite, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2does anybody know if the banners are still covered?
- nsjoker, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Stacks -_-
- Topher06, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2So much hype for days, and then nothing. I think most people are still in stunned disbelief. If that was the top 10 most exciting features of Leopard, and then the only thing people are talking about is Safari for Windows, well, thats just sad.
All I have to say about Leopard, why did it take 21 months to get there?
One more thing.
Mac's run games now, didn't you know! About the most exciting part of the speech was the iD is working on some top secret game engine. - rrossen, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1The new finder is good, with the coverflow feature integrated. downside is that this is the only "hot thing" in the presentation if ya ask me.
ow and one more thing....
take a hike with your freakin widgets! They're cute but not WWDC worthy -_-' - michnaugh1, on 10/11/2007, -3/+2Wow. Everything but stacks, ichat backdrops and coverflow in Finder I already have in Ubuntu. Mail app = Thunderbird 2 does all of that. Spaces = Beryl's got that covered, and looks better too. Transparent panel = yep.
Full disclosure, written from my MacBook Pro that might be running Tiger a while longer. :- | - porterfield, on 10/11/2007, -3/+1OMG STEVE JOBS +100000000 DIGGS
- DeanRed, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1What a fizzer!
lost for words.... - funkaHdafi, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1so that's it? I have expected way more. So they added a different background graphic to the doc and made a transparent menu. ok. but where are those secret killer features? where is the new desktop that is supposed to be changing the waxy we interact with computers forever? oh and did you notice that grass they used as a desktop background? are we vista?
disappointed! - Rice, on 10/11/2007, -2/+2I don't know why everyone is so disappointed. Leopard looks very nice.
The new Finder is reason enough. - TinFoil209, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Sopranos Finale = WWDC Keynote = Disappointing
- Stark, on 10/11/2007, -2/+5worst keynote in years
