      Everybody does it. Jobs has claimed Apple invented the GUI. Microsoft claimed to invent sub-pixel rendering. Hell, when I first saw the pictures of Leopard, I thought "Hmmmph, who's firing up their photocopiers now?" The inspiration for the dock was NextStep, not Stardock. Were they even around in 2001?

    All I have to say about Leopard, why did it take 21 months to get there?

    One more thing.

    Mac's run games now, didn't you know! About the most exciting part of the speech was the iD is working on some top secret game engine.

  • michnaugh1, on 10/11/2007, -3/+2Wow. Everything but stacks, ichat backdrops and coverflow in Finder I already have in Ubuntu. Mail app = Thunderbird 2 does all of that. Spaces = Beryl's got that covered, and looks better too. Transparent panel = yep.

    Full disclosure, written from my MacBook Pro that might be running Tiger a while longer. :- |

So they added a different background graphic to the doc and made a transparent menu. ok. but where are those secret killer features? where is the new desktop that is supposed to be changing the waxy we interact with computers forever? oh and did you notice that grass they used as a desktop background? are we vista?
