- jsg7, on 10/12/2007, -0/+17MacRumors.com, too...
http://www.macrumorslive.com/ - Marku$, on 10/12/2007, -2/+18...but when it's Windows related, it's just fine. Apple is releasing new stuff today. New things are considered "news". Go back to your hole and stop trolling.
- jsg7, on 10/12/2007, -0/+10This has nothing to do with Mac fanboys. In fact, it should have little or nothing to do with Macs at all. It's iPods and iTunes (at least primarily), both of which work on Windows.

- jacob1201, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3looks like it might actually be broadcast live....http://events.apple.com.edgesuite.net/sep_2006/event/index.html
- TokenUser, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Its great that there is an Apple category for this type of information. And given the event today, it is hardly surprising that it dominates the front page ... a lot like when Firefox announces they might be releasing a new beta - it gets the fans boys all worked up.
There will be a similar flurry of topics when MS finally release Vista. That will give the Mac folk time to comment on the over abundance of Windows news on the front page, the Linux fan boys enough to time to prepare their usual Linux is better than Windows arguments, and possibly even enough time for Digg to add a Windows category, so that Digg users can choose to ignore Windows news as easily as Windows users could choose to ignore Apple news. - bgswm1, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Gadgetell too .. http://www.gadgetell.com/2006/09/live-blog-apples-steve-jobs-takes-the-stage-for-its-showtime/

Gapless playback - OneTrueDabe, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2@nonsequitor:
"Dude, they macrumors wasn't invited, they're just regurgitating what they read elsewhere."
If Digg has taught us anything, it's that "regurgitation" (cough, "syndication?") is much more powerful than relying on a single source for information.
The live Java/IRC chat is a nice way to "watch" the event, BTW
http://www.macrumorslive.com/irc/? - Jonsey, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Good way to get lots of CPMs!

- bnl771, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Sweet crap. I just upgraded to a new 5g (my 3g finally went ***** up... I loved that little guy!) a few months ago. And I can live without almost all these upgrades especially considering no bigger screen. HOWEVER... I would HOPE and PRAY gapless playback is added to 5g software updates. How hard could it be?!
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Yes :)
See some of iLounge's live pics from the event: http://www.flickr.com/photos/ipodlounger/ - davidszcz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1wait. i thought the ipod prices were always the same. I really hope they'll have a new "upper line" ipod...

bunch of games for $4.99 - flotsky, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I reckon that name is what they want ultimately, but they are unsure of whether they can get away with it. ITV is a long established media brand here in the UK, and I think they are dipping a toe in the water legally by suggesting it
- ramsinks.com, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1O please, we don't want to read it - we want to watch it.
Give us the BT when you get a good copy. - NyteStarNyne, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Sounds more like a Nintendo announcement than Apple. Still hope for a new iPod maybe?
- momoo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I'm there now and will be blogging live on threz at:

- OnlyShawn, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1go buy your zen.
- floejoe, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2$249 for 60 GB!!!!!!!!! YES
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1It's time!
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1better iTunes organization. sweet, it sucks getting vids and podcasts when you shuffle through your library
- griz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I'm still waiting for some time when he walks off stage and everyone is applauding and about to get up and he comes back out and gives an encore. Or announces something like iTV and says, Just kidding, you can buy it today.
- scooterbaga, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1They haven't always been the same... My 3G 20GB was $500. I feel so used and dirty.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1"iLounge: iPod boxes now show Pirates of the Carribbean"
what?? - griz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1They didn't say one more great thing.
I was really hoping for something unexpected. he games on the ipod are pretty cool and support for existing 5Gs is cool too. But not the earthshattering news I expected. like iPhone or Big screen iPod. - KSUdesigner, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1As they've also said, iTV is just a codename for now.
- anonatron, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1wait until the 14th when the front page is filled with Nintendo info!
- OnlyShawn, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1"I said good day."
- alabare, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Probably to advertise the fact that they are now offering box office movies..something they'll want to catch your eye with when browsing their merchandise in store.
- feylanks, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1set top box + wireless + itunes... win
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1"Engadget: [Steve finds and plays The Incredibles. it's not 640x480, it's HDTV]"
- alabare, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1hmm...iTV....tivo on crack?
- Ellsass, on 11/05/2008, -0/+1DVD is only 720x480 for NTSC (North America)
- krinthekuz, on 09/16/2008, -0/+1@jamesthejust: thanks... done.
@all you other retards you don't see this as spam:
i'm not a windows fanboy or even a linux zealot. you guys just sound like the traditional media jumping on a topic. judging by the frontpage apple spam, that's all you talk about. it's not just this topic - it's all of them. you'd think that 1 or 2 or 3 pages about showtime would be good enough, but you guys need at least 20 in the last 24 hrs. you're part of the current embarassment of digg. - griz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+12007 Q1
