- fungifred, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I have read numerous places that all of the iLife Suite works, iWork works and Office will run under Rosetta as will several other APPS. I also know that several other applications such as firefox and I think Adium run also as Universal Binaries.
- Eamon, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0It's pretty stable. The problem is most apps like Final Cut Pro and DVD Studio will not work.
So, basically you have an OS and nothing to do with it aside from internet and e-mail and maybe typing something. - barbobot, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0http://www.osx86project.org/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=27&Itemid=2
- craigandthem, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Who has experience building an OSX x86 box? Is the current build of OSX x86 stable enough to use as a primary OS?
- Lumiras, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0does anyone know the smallest box we could get one of these x86 PCs in? I don't have room for another desktop, but I'd be more than willing to pay $200 for a little mini-mac look alike
- Retrograde, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0This was dugg? A much better list has been on the OSx86 project for WEEKS!
- Elranzer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Mac OS X is not going to run well on cheap hardware. Buy an actual Mac, which it was designed to run on, or don't use it at all. And definitely don't run it on a Dell.
- hochmann, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0> Great if your considering building a cheap system to try OSX out on!
It must be nice to ignore the fact that the only way to do that right now is to obtain OS X by illegal means, and also violate the license by running it on non-Apple hardware. - goduke06, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0very old dupe
- imightbewrong, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0this is old!!!!
- imtigger2, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Digging it... just to further piss off Retrograde.
