- ZennZero, on 10/12/2007, -14/+105The post's rating appears to go up only locally. The server still only registers one digg.
- mingistech, on 10/12/2007, -25/+104I read the .nfo file. Looks legit! :)
- fugazi, on 10/12/2007, -34/+109Its the digg terrorists trying to bring down democracy.
- bradkovach, on 10/12/2007, -26/+92Wow... I've never seen comments that are good, like all of these, be dugg down like this before. Ridiculous!
- jujubear, on 10/12/2007, -26/+86Am I the only person who remembers Apple suing developers who leaked it last year?
- davemccauley, on 10/12/2007, -18/+71It can be found here if anyone is interested.
http://www.mininova.org/tor/393465 - honesttussey, on 10/12/2007, -22/+73someone is exploiting the system or running many accounts. If you keep refreshing the page you will notice every comment regardless of its content is getting dugg deeper and deeper
- gwon, on 10/12/2007, -38/+86Any idea if archive install works from tiger?
- Dawnspire, on 10/12/2007, -27/+66WRONG. Its been established 1000 times that it only shows that for you, try refreshing the page and looking at the count
- msbeckman, on 10/12/2007, -31/+68again... doesnt work, refresh the page. this "bug" has been disproven time and time again. nice try.
- mingistech, on 10/12/2007, -27/+64So... i wonder if this would work.
1. Partition my hard drive with Bootcamp. (non-destructive partitioning)
2. Name the new Partition "Leopard" (for a simplified installation)
3. Do a full installation on the new Partition.
4. Go into System Preferences to select my Startup Disk when needed.
Wudda you guys think of this method? - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -48/+85Why is literally everyone getting modded down?
- gamerzworld, on 10/12/2007, -19/+55Pirates, start your photocopiers.
- oOLiquidNightOo, on 10/12/2007, -88/+123people DO know that you CAN click a vote button fast for MULTIPLE votes, right? especially digg ups. give it a try.
- schmidp, on 10/12/2007, -21/+55Arsene_Lupin: Someone gave me a trick to increase bandwith of people downloading the original demonoid torrent
[7:08pm] Arsene_Lupin: Open your torrent in a text editor. At the very end of the file, you will see this string: "privatei1eee". Replace 1 with 0. That's all.
[7:09pm] Arsene_Lupin: Then save the file. It's completly safe, you don't need to stop the torrent.
this makes the torrent public and allows seeding to DHT (distributed tracker, as the demonoid tracker is down)
this is the same as the dht fix torrent on torrentspy - ignorantcow, on 10/12/2007, -11/+41Updates, free. Upgrades, not free. Leopard isn't a service pack ;)
- Terc, on 10/12/2007, -14/+44How's that ePenis of yours doing?

- serpicolugnut, on 10/12/2007, -3/+28Look, as someone who just got back from WWDC and was given this DVD, I can tell you this - don't install it unless you are a developer. I had to install it to follow along on several Leopard sessions, and immediately after, I dumped it and went back to Tiger. Safari and Mail are great, but the rest of the OS is not ready for prime time. Big surprise, it's pre-alpha quality. The main reason this was given to developers was because the developer tools have undergone a huge transformation, along with some new, under the hood technology.
If you install this, don't bitch about the quality, and don't be shocked when your Mac does all sorts of crazy stuff and you lose lots of valuable data. You've been warned. - NSResponder, on 10/12/2007, -2/+26Kethinov,
I worked at Apple for three and a half years, and you are mistaken. Apple operates on a need-to-know basis, and an employee who's not in the OS X engineering organization does not need leopard seed builds to do their job. There are about two thousand people out of 14,000 total who can routinely get their hands on the seed builds. Someone working in retail, for example, or in manufacturing will not have access to the sources or the nightly builds.
-jcr - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -28/+52Here come the lawsuits again!
- jaken, on 10/12/2007, -25/+45Is this for Mac or PC?
Can I use Ubuntu?
Who is Leopard? Is this who is hiring all these Jobs I keep hearing about?
I keep hearing about Jobs and Leopard??? - d1g1ta7, on 10/12/2007, -20/+37I don't know about archive/install, but upgrade doesn't work afaik.
- oOLiquidNightOo, on 10/12/2007, -41/+56it's the mac police! EVERYONE RUN !!@!
(joking) - d1g1ta7, on 10/12/2007, -17/+31A lot of subtle changes. A lot in Safari has been updated. If you're replying, to say a message on digg, and you're entering text, if you attempt to close the window or app, Safari will warn you that you have unentered text and it will be lost. Also, the "Find" in Safari is pretty cool too.
Although some times it thinks you have unentered text when you don't. - jeriqo, on 10/12/2007, -40/+53We don't give a ***** about "nice !", "i got it !", "cool features" comments.
- frekir, on 10/12/2007, -37/+50Why modded down? He asked a question.
- Davidbt, on 10/12/2007, -3/+16If you are going to try which i highly recommend not to. you take a external FW HDD and partition it. take your copy of leopard and boot from that holding down the c key
go thru the installer you'll see the internal HDD and the FW HDD in orange. select to install on that. when you want to boot to the leopard partition have the FW hDD connected and hold down the option key and select that partition from the boot loader.
there you have a non destructive way to "beta test"
Davidbt MG - Scourge, on 10/12/2007, -4/+17Obviously you since you feel the need to post on every article remotely related to Apple.
- jesusfranco, on 10/12/2007, -6/+17I think its Netscape fans...
- NSResponder, on 10/12/2007, -6/+17I would highly recommend that anyone who doesn't have legitimate access to this seed build refrain from stealing it. Apple can match the IP numbers of anyone participating in a torrent to the IP numbers you have when logging in to .MAC, to developer.apple.com, etc. If they know you're helping to pirate their software, they might very well ban you from the developer program, and they'd be right to do so.
-jcr - geminem, on 10/12/2007, -23/+33pixelcloud, that only works on your side. if you keep clicking and clicking the number of diggs go up, but when you refresh the page, you'll see that it doesn't really happen. just your first click is counted.
i don't know why this happens though. i only noticed it when i clicked twice accidentally.
all the negative diggs probably resulted from what honesttuhussey said, that someone's exploiting the system or running many accounts. hmm.. - smokingkills, on 10/12/2007, -0/+10you know, some of you guys SUCK!!!!!! people are asking normal questions, and you digg them down, either couse you have highly thoughts about you self, you self ass lickers, or you are just simly mean!!! go ahed, digg me down in the dirt, I dont give a F.... if that makes you feel bether.. for those who need help, go to a serious forum and talk to nice people
- neospy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9This is:
-Not a fake torrent =D
-UNIVERSAL (PPC + Intel)
-Stable (for the couple of hours people have been using it)
-Some Photos: http://www.flickr.com/photos/12474295@N00/sets/72157594234783473/ - YHCIR, on 10/12/2007, -10/+19Or maybe most people follow the crowd, all you need is a couple of people to digg down some comments and others are more likely to agree, and dig down?
However, lots of comments here are a waste of time reading, and the comments about rubbish comments. : - thespacepope, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9You can use diskutil (what bootcamp uses to resize the volume):
orac:~ scm$ diskutil resizeVolume
Disk Utility Tool
Usage: diskutil resizeVolume [Mount Point|Disk Identifier|Device Node] size
...
Non-destructively resize a disk. You may increase or decrease its size.
When decreasing size, you may optionally supply a list of new partitions to create.
Ownership of the affected disk is required.
Valid partition sizes are in the format of .
Valid sizes are B(ytes), K(ilobytes), M(egabytes), G(igabytes), T(erabytes)
Example: 10G (10 gigabytes), 4.23T (4.23 terabytes), 5M (5 megabytes)
resizeVolume is only supported on GPT media with a Journaled HFS+ filesystem.
A size of "limits" will print the range of valid values for the current filesystem.
Example: diskutil resizeVolume disk1s3 10G
JHFS+ HDX1 5G MS-DOS HDX2 5G
Valid filesystems: "Case-sensitive HFS+" "Journaled HFS+" "Case-sensitive Journaled HFS+" "HFS+" "HFS" "MS-DOS FAT32" "MS-DOS FAT16" "MS-DOS" "MS-DOS FAT12" "UFS" "Linux" "Swap" - chucker, on 10/12/2007, -13/+21PowerPC and Intel.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9Do you realy want to make Steve Jobs cry though??
- strcmp, on 10/12/2007, -8/+16Either you are a moron or you just wrote the funniest post on all of digg.
- mikev, on 10/12/2007, -21/+29I've been downloading and seeding the other torrent for two days.
This one seems more legit so I paused the other one and started this one. The speeds are already faster than all the others.
Assuming this is legit, I kindly ask EVERYONE TO PLEASE SEED when it is complete.
Thanks.
:) - Chealion, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7It's called a developer preview for a reason. It's not a public beta.
- Mooinakan, on 10/12/2007, -19/+26Question: If I buy a Mac PC or the Mac software, does that entitle me to the software updates from there on out? Or do I have to purchase each installment seperately?
(Please don't digg down, I'm just asking a question)
-Sincerley
Stupid XP User - mufasa, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6offcourse it does, everyone knows a leopard is faster than a tiger :p
- corsairstw, on 10/12/2007, -4/+9Tharrr be booty at ye PIRATE'S BAY undarr the name of "The_Big_Cat"
- DonLapre, on 10/12/2007, -32/+37If you cannot burn a dual layer dvd you can restore the dmg onto a hard drive or ipod and boot off and install from it.
- kwojniak, on 10/12/2007, -26/+31I don't see why not. Only reason why it wouldn't is if Leopard checks your partition order, but that'd be silly. So I'd say yes.
- jakk, on 10/12/2007, -3/+7It wont work on every bittorrent client I tried, except for azureus.
The official Bittorrent/mac client, transmission, tomato torrent, etc. This is because the tracker was deleted. However, if you download and use azureus (which supports tracker-less torrents) it will work, although slowly. -
