- yokozuka, on 04/14/2008, -5/+91About time! Now copy and paste and I'm done.
- libradragon, on 04/14/2008, -2/+53Great. Now add hyperlinks on received MMS messages and you're halfway there.
- mingistech, on 04/14/2008, -1/+30you can enter new contacts while on the phone... i do it alot.
- kidcodea, on 04/14/2008, -15/+43WOW! NEXTGEN!
APPLE MAKES IT SO EASY! - Scottievm, on 04/14/2008, -6/+33I love that with the power of Digg, I never have to miss even the smallest detail about the iPhone which gets continually thrown out by Gizmodo and Engadget.
- subliminalurge, on 04/14/2008, -0/+23Copy and past would be nice, sure. Personally, there are a few things I'd like to see added first.
Bluetooth and/or WiFi sync
Attach multiple pictures to an email
A2DP profile
Movie rentals directly from the phone
Ability to smoothly sync with more than one computer - burstaneurysm, on 04/14/2008, -6/+27Why the hell did it take so long to do this? Now we just need copy/paste text.
- wedges, on 04/14/2008, -2/+21give me MMS so i don't have to go to viewmymessage.com, that piece of ***** site.
- Lounger540, on 04/14/2008, -0/+14For those confused about libradragon's comment, when someone sends you an mms on an iphone you get sent a msg saying to go to viewmymessage.com with a username and password. Problem is, it's not a hyperlink, and the name and pass are alpha# random and take about 3 flips between sms.app and safari.app in order to get the whole thing typed in correctly.
- rebotfc, on 04/14/2008, -9/+21Great, what about :
* being able to forward a contact to someone else?
* being able to enter a new contact when someone is giving you a phone number over the phone ( my god not being able to do that is aannnnoyyyying)
* being able to accept vcards or whatever and enter it as a contact
* being able to save voicemail to my mac - skizzbot, on 04/14/2008, -1/+11Nice... will make it easier to update my wallpaper while I'm on the can.
- bbroxter, on 04/14/2008, -0/+10The firmware is beta, it is not going to show up in iTunes
- inactive, on 04/14/2008, -0/+9YOU'RE missing an E and an apostrophe there, since we are talking about grammar.
- Tyr7BE, on 04/14/2008, -1/+10Well that's no problem - just copy the link and paste it into Safari! Problem solved!
- treed, on 04/14/2008, -2/+11I suggest you look up what "beta" means.
Reading comprehension FTW. - itbescott, on 04/14/2008, -0/+8U can take notes while on the phone. I do it all the time.
- LilBoyLuver, on 04/14/2008, -5/+13This is the most obnoxious thread I have read since the last iPhone update was announced.
People we understand that other phones have had this feature for a long time now. Apple has added this feature and some people (not me) care about it because it adds a new feature to a piece of equipment they own. I think that we can all agree that even if the iPhone does not have every feature in the world but Apple has done a good job responding to consumers feedback and they have added quite a few updates in a very short time period.
Even if the iPhone still does not have everything, it is getting there and regardless of its faults it is still a revolutionary cell-phone that is changing the industry and pressuring manufacturers to give customers what they want. Lets just all be friends. - debuggercll, on 04/14/2008, -1/+8"Ability to smoothly sync with more than one computer" digg++
- TheKrillr, on 04/14/2008, -2/+9You can rent movies on the N81?
- roderick, on 04/15/2008, -0/+7Its funny how some people do not have an iPhone but feel the need to read iPhone articles and then comment on how much they hate the phone. Why spend time reading about a phone that you don't like?? Go read up on your phone updates and news. You won't find my posts there.
- wonkavsn, on 04/14/2008, -3/+10I don't get why whenever there is some mention of a new iphone feature, people bother to comment on how their phone had feature X a year ago or whatnot.
We know that you think your phone is better. Now give it a rest: It's boring.
And for those of you who comment how much the iPhone sucks, just shut up and keep waiting for your messiah-like "iPhone killers" to come out.
These articles make it to the front page because people own iPhones and are interested in updates. This shouldn't serve as a platform for you to flaunt your insecurity. - inactive, on 04/14/2008, -2/+9So then it IS apple's fault that its phone is incapable of receiving MMS. You have the twisted logic of an apple-whore.
"Its not apples fault, its the worlds fault for acknowledging the existence of MMS" - matthewpapa, on 04/14/2008, -11/+18*pats his WM6 phone who has had that functionality for years*
what other basic function are they going to ALLOW the iphone to do next? I dont get the iphone hype, other than that the thing looks cool. My MW6 device is at least as functional as the Iphone and has been that way from the beginning. It is not like it is a totally revolutionary phone. Sure mine may not look pretty but if it gets the job done better... - cyberdork, on 04/14/2008, -5/+11Too bad it's so fugly.
- counterplex, on 04/14/2008, -0/+6I'd take that for the iPods too.
- djrbx, on 04/14/2008, -0/+6I'd love copy and paste, but what about opening a link in a new window/tab?
- MJDub, on 04/14/2008, -1/+7While on the phone, type your new contact number into the keypad first, then add the contact from the keypad.
- Eminemdrdre00, on 04/14/2008, -0/+5Havent you read the 100's of "3g iPhone coming in June" topics on Digg? You couldnt wait another month or so?
- corneliousjd, on 04/14/2008, -1/+6Um... it's not a small update, its the most recent thing to change in the 1.2.0 BETA update... the 1.2.0 update in itself has MASSIVE overhauls to many areas of the phone... Research before posting comments please.
- wellyuk, on 04/14/2008, -2/+7Can your Archos 605 make phone calls?
- RiverBelow, on 04/14/2008, -1/+6Really? Where? I've been on a jailbreak for six months (since I got it) and I haven't seen anything to save pictures from Safari. Can you point me in the right direction? I couldn't have missed it if its in Installer.
- inactive, on 04/14/2008, -1/+6Who the hell do you people think you are. The Steve giveth and the Steve taketh away.
- Hulka, on 04/14/2008, -1/+6From one can-iPhone-user to another, I digg you.
- wellyuk, on 04/14/2008, -2/+6Ah... I assume comment buried means "No, my Archos DOESN'T do that". Congrats.
- inactive, on 04/14/2008, -2/+6I assume you're including Usenet clients as browsers as the web is only ~17 years old.
Just being pedantic ;-) - wellyuk, on 04/14/2008, -1/+5You missed the opportunity to pimp the N81.
- mrsteve007, on 04/14/2008, -17/+21Breaking News!
This just in to the Digg newsroom. The iPhone will soon get a new, minor feature. One that every other smartphone on the market has had for years. Read all about it.
(wake me when it gets 3G) - synyster, on 04/14/2008, -0/+4SQL injection attack? where? on the sqlite on iphone ?
- cgruber, on 04/14/2008, -0/+4Blackjack 2
- richardiscool, on 04/14/2008, -0/+4Paedophile.
- deadbaby, on 04/14/2008, -1/+5The iPhone has not even been out a full year. Windows CE/Mobile has been out what... 12 years now? In some ways Apple is way ahead of WM, in others they need to catchup. That is the nature of technology.
- Darph.Bobo, on 04/15/2008, -0/+4Yeah you're kind of a dick so I'm rather glad you're miserable and suffering daily with a Razr! But you can save pictures from your bastardized joke of a web browser, if you can ever navigate to it.
- MikeSD34, on 04/14/2008, -0/+3SQL Injection is a pretty rudimentary tactic that's pretty easy to stop if you're looking for it.
- Hulka, on 04/14/2008, -2/+5Yes, and that software-based keyboard is SOOOOO much easier to type on than my p.o.s. work CrackBerry. Everyone that complains about the iPhone on-screen keyboard has obviously never used it because I can type much faster on it than I can on any other smartphone.
- LumpOfCole, on 04/14/2008, -0/+3It's a nice feature to have for my iPhone to be sure. I think I must browse the Internet 1000 times more than I ever did on my previous Windows Mobile device, just because it's so pleasant to do so.
- ucg1, on 04/14/2008, -0/+3So I take it you like the N81? Want to post that one more time?
- mrbutter, on 04/14/2008, -4/+7That's sort of the point of it.
~LoL~ - addiktion, on 04/15/2008, -0/+3I personally could use a google calender sync for my contacts and calender list!
- fuhcough, on 04/14/2008, -1/+4i could before... ermm... i mean, technically it was possible.
- jakem1, on 04/14/2008, -2/+5Innovation and revolution takes time.
