- funkdoctorspock, on 07/28/2008, -4/+97My favorite part: "Entourage! No, not the show with the kids, the e-mail program!"
- karmaghost, on 07/28/2008, -7/+98Just in case it wasn't obvious from watching this, it's a joke. Gizmodo didn't seem to get it.
- SitPoMk, on 07/28/2008, -28/+110***** you, 2 of my friends died fixing computers for John Mayers dad
- Totz83, on 07/28/2008, -1/+63Guy writes very long Digg title, fails misera
- JBravada, on 07/28/2008, -2/+56JM makes good use of his celebrity while he's not recording/performing
- rjc5056, on 07/28/2008, -1/+46Anyone I've ever encountered who dislikes John Mayer has either never heard him truly rocking out on guitar with a skill level up there with the greats, or never seen him at his most hilarious on his 1 ep tv show or plethora of online skits. Dude's an all around chill guy and doesn't seem to take himself too seriously. I'm sorry you didn't like his first album or two. I didn't either and I'm pretty sure he didn't feel them. It's just a really easy and shallow reason to dislike a guy is all. Blame the record companies that forced that out of him.
- YancyFryJr, on 07/28/2008, -0/+38Two words: bear suit.
I certainly appreciate that Mayer has a sense of humor about his celebrity. - chaser324, on 07/28/2008, -3/+30Some girl walks by at the end and says, "You guys are vultures" to the TMZ camera man. Usually, I would agree, but John Mayer doesn't care and he has no desire to shy away from stuff like this.
- ksgant, on 07/28/2008, -1/+26I don't see why people hate this guy. He obviously doesn't take himself seriously and he's pretty funny at times.
Oh well, people don't really need a reason to hate I suppose. - Valujet, on 07/28/2008, -0/+25If someone murdered TMZ "reporters" I would find them not guilty by reason of the victim not being a person.
- MattFid, on 07/28/2008, -10/+34***** you, two of my friends died adding apostrophes to possessives.
- inactive, on 07/28/2008, -1/+23Digg title fails misera...
- revjustin2, on 07/28/2008, -0/+19I want to go on record that I enjoy John Mayer and have no issues with his material. However, for the sake of clarity, I remember seeing an interview with him where he describes the goal of (at least) his first album. His aim was to make something that was extremely melodic and poppy in an attempt to sell more albums. Like it or not, it was a smart business move that paid the bills. Also to his own admission, he put out those first two albums so he could afford to tour with his trio and make music that he really wanted to make. I don't call that selling out. I call that smart. If he couldn't rip it, then he'd be a whore, but the man has the skills to back stuff like that up.
- wontstoptalking, on 07/28/2008, -1/+19Really? Mine is 1:03, "Remember when we tried to make that naked lady icon your harddrive icon?"
- Cybermaul, on 07/28/2008, -1/+18Ergo, the heroic attempts of those two honorable, unnamed men to add apostrophes to it.
- inactive, on 07/28/2008, -4/+18Well I like him, not because of his tech support knowledge but because he plays a mean guitar. So ***** You Gizmodo and TMZ
- perfectsquare, on 07/28/2008, -0/+12John Mayer did a few bits with TMZ as a 'guest host' where he does a few spoofed celebrity sightings. I'm assuming this is one of them.

"Remember when we tried to make that icon of the naked lady your harddrive [icon]?"
Dude...
Dude. - bitweever, on 07/28/2008, -0/+10I'm not a 'fan', but I'd have to agree. I was dragged along to a concert with my wife, and his guitar skills are awesome. I went away as greatly impressed.
- inactive, on 07/28/2008, -8/+17Is it? Seems real to me. Hilarious anyway.
- pbuschma, on 07/28/2008, -0/+9click on little magnifying glass icon, top right. type entourage. presto!
- wontstoptalking, on 07/28/2008, -0/+9He never said that...
- Yonson, on 07/28/2008, -0/+8Did he check the megabytes?
- howdareyou, on 07/28/2008, -1/+9Yah probably has something to do with this, no?
http://digg.com/music/John_Mayer_to_TMZ_Game_On - Daniel591992, on 07/28/2008, -0/+7No, you can have more than one home....
- nite002, on 07/28/2008, -0/+6Yea it was staged. The Vultures reference makes it obvious because in the song, he uses "vultures" to allude to the paparazzi. Still funny though.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9QRevhc3s2w - manbear, on 07/28/2008, -0/+6I believe the word you were looking for there in between would, and helped is the word have.
- devenh, on 07/28/2008, -1/+7I think this clip is hilarious! As an engineer, I actually have more respect for John Mayor for saddling up as tech support.
- Cybermaul, on 07/28/2008, -0/+6That's assuming he can spell.
- beatleman, on 07/28/2008, -1/+7Dugg for the painful memories it brought up of helping my Dad download pictures off his camera over the phone. Even if I had been at home, though, he gets mad when I do it for him without "showing him how." That way he can write it down on a scrap of paper that he'll misplace by the week after so I can show him again... I feel your pain, John.
- paulexander, on 07/28/2008, -0/+5Welcome to my personal hell, John. I recommend Beer to dull the pain.
- gabe37, on 07/28/2008, -0/+5Spotlight would of helped.
- akula89, on 07/28/2008, -1/+5stupid meme
- d3dm, on 07/28/2008, -10/+14Who in the hell is John Mayer?
- Shiftgood, on 07/28/2008, -1/+5^ Fail
Watch the videos/ Read the articles/ Look at the pictures before you comment. - Oea420, on 07/28/2008, -0/+4There is absolutely nothing more frustrating than trying to walk someone who's clueless about computers through anything over the phone..
It's probably one of the most futile exercises you can do. - cugar, on 07/28/2008, -2/+6i see what you did the
- Proctor, on 07/29/2008, -0/+4He does good guitar solos.
- jmbrysk, on 07/28/2008, -1/+5Well, first, kudos to John Mayer for handling TMZ so well.
Second, ***** TMZ.
Third, ***** Gizmodo. They're a tech blog who are supposed to report on tech, not pick and choose TMZ stories to report on based on celebrities they don't like. - punkcat, on 07/29/2008, -0/+4joke? i have had an almost verbatim conversation with my parents.
- s0l0s0ul, on 07/28/2008, -1/+4*yeah
- potusom, on 07/29/2008, -0/+3Oh, I definitely shared this one with my computer-retarded dad!
- MasterGrief, on 07/28/2008, -0/+3That's great. It's nice to hear of old people using computers.
- Generalfier1, on 07/28/2008, -1/+4How about hit command spacebar and type in entourage......would save him a headache.
- kitsua, on 07/29/2008, -0/+3I have had this exact same conversation with my dad.
- Addaone, on 07/28/2008, -0/+3http://digg.com/tech_news/Digg_We_Have_a_Problem_P ...
Basically a guy that can't take a joke making much ado over nothing. - jrburkh, on 07/28/2008, -0/+3Agreed.
- neil1492, on 07/28/2008, -0/+3Apple&Space bar, then type Entourage. IDK why he was trying to explain it the hard way.
- Tyrghast, on 07/28/2008, -1/+4Further proving that just because you own Mac, you still aren't hip, individualistic, or smart.
- SnakeLemma, on 07/28/2008, -0/+3I failed Misera once. She broke up with me.
