I think this guy has some cooler mockups, like the alleged new iPod nano. He made it so the clickwheel is a touchscreen that can change orientation. What is wrong with appreciating good design AND performance? Treo phones are powerful devices, but most of them look stupid and are clunky.
The Cadillac CTS-V can outperform the BMW M5 and Mercedes E63 AMG in acceleration, braking, and handling, and probably has all the same luxury features too, but you can bet that people buying cars in that segment want the BMW or Mercedes name. There is design and heritage that comes with a product.
My girlfriend's Windows powered laptop (Gateway, she's a regular consumer that got a parent purchased college laptop) is definitely a powerful computer, but it's design cannot touch my MacBook. Too many pointless angles and cutaways underneath, inconvenient battery fitment, ***** locks, tons of wasted space and it's needlessly thick. For the same price, she could have purchased a MacBook.
Buy what you want, but don't undermine the opinions of others. Sure, you might not like the sensationalist cult status that comes with owning a Mac for most people, but that is what makes it great that you have your own choice. You think I'm a jackass for buying a MacBook, I think you're a jackass for dragging your custom built super tower and LCD monitor around that outperforms my laptop per dollar because you went on a shopping spree on Newegg. - fLUx1337, on 08/31/2008, -3/+20"Like Steve Jobs's foot?"
