- DrMerle, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I've got a great tip for anybody who ever has a problem with any electronic advice getting wet. I found out about this because I have a friend who works in a hearing clinich and they use this method to deal with hearing aides that have been through a shower. All you do is this, first: DON'T TURN IT ON, it might short something out. Second, get either a nice big silica gel packet, or a whole bunch of small ones, then take the device and put it in a container of some kind, preferably airtight, with the silica gel. I would leave it in there at least a week or so, but it might still work with less time. Anyway, my little girl threw her brother's game boy advance in the toilet, (doh) and that's how we took care of the problem, I took out the battery, and then put the whole mess in a tupperware container with some silica gel for like 2 weeks. When we took it out there was no sign it had ever been wet. Also bought a lid-lock for the toilet at the same time, since I was beginning to picture her throwing my iPod in there, and didn't want to take any chances.
- danio, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2gbm85 you are fat?
- theartofennui, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1the phrase would technically be "digged", but it doesn't sound as cool as "slashdotted"
- manfesto, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I thought that "slashdotting" digg style was "dugg."
Well, dugg to death. - jonknee, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Sorry about the server problems, there are a lot of other sites besides Digg linking. And the hosting isn't fragile, it's Pair.

- awfulshot, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0his hosting is apparently pretty fragile...
- dimplemonkey, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Yeah, but look at that hairline scratch on the screen. It's ruined and I want Apple to compensate me for it. I can't live with that scratch! Meh!
- buckdog05, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0My had a Photo in his pocket with a pack of Ranch Dressing. The battery gets really hot when he tries to charge it, but when it is opened it looks dry. He is going to peel up the battery and wipe it under there to try and fix it.
- trunkster, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Don't you know the real reason behind all the iPod Nano complaints?
Apple doesn't like fat people. - jamester, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0haha - because his iPod made it through a trip in the WASHING MACHINE and he's happy about it, he's suddenly a "pod-fanboy". Wonderful.
Hate to say it, but if I ever accidentally wash my iPod in the washing machine and it not only lives to tell the tale but survives without hardly any major damage, I'll be a "pod-fanboy" too. So neener. - BugMeNot2, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Ha! The site died.
O RLY? - nuclearpenguins, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0It wouldn't be Digg without an pod-fanboy story of the day.

- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Yeah numbnuts. Try using it again in a couple weeks when the fluid in it has dried and the residue left behind short out the electronics..
- Seaton, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0George Bush doesn't like Fat People, Black People, or iPod Nanos!
