- Darrelc, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Not really, he's not blatantly trying to force his opinion on others.
I'd just call him a 'Fan'. - S8erpaintball, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6because...you know...theres no way you could POSSIBLY connect a 2 button usb mouse...thats just crazy talk
- NewChar, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4After the orgy is over instead of taking a smoke break they all hop on Digg and submit Apple rumors.
- ggko, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4What the ***** does Jay Leno do with all his cars?
What the ***** does Kimora Lee Simmons do with all her designer goods?
What the ***** does Seth Green do with all his action figures?
People like collecting stuff. This guy picked Macintoshes. How is this worse than stamps, Atari games, Air Jordan sneakers, books, Hot Wheels cars, or Coca-Cola memorabilia? - flag564, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4True, but even I have to admit I like the IKEA furniture.
I just hope that's not his parent's basement. - digismack, on 10/12/2007, -4/+7It's Macalicious!
- wayne16991, on 10/12/2007, -3/+5So what the ***** do you do with all that ***** in your basement? Have a giant mac fanboi orgy all night long?
- flag564, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Ive seen mac classics and the 1st gen. Imacs at thrift stores for around 5 to $20
Performas and Quadras are always going for around $3 each. - StephenCIreland, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2im catching up to him : 16 different machines
- graemee, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Ha, My wife thinks the 5 old macs I have is too many.
I have two Classic II's, a IIci, an original 1984 Macintosh and a G4 MD tower. - mrmcgoo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Well he did mention it makes a great Starcraft lan party setup.
- Xinareiaz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I think my dad has more of the Classics laying around then that guy...I counted 31 at our house once. No clue why he likes them so much.
- Qriztof, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1So all of those older Macs cost him...$5? Maybe $7?
- thruandthru, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3Steve Jobs would be proud.
- TheReport, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1nostalgia, these people are pack rats and feel a need to collect to remind them of the past. Im the same way. I rarley throw anything out that has some significant value until I really have to.
- ajchavar, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3incredibly witty. keep it up.
- mactarkus, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Jeremy joins our little podcast and walks us through his collection on Episode 7 of the RetroMacCast: www.retromaccast.com.
- khyberkitsune, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I wonder if he's looking for a Macintosh Powerbook Duo210.
Just needs a battery or power adapter. Lost the latter, former gave up the ghost. - jman8888, on 10/12/2007, -3/+3I feel jelous. I dont even have one...
- ruerivoli, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Trippy! A fellow Mac-enthusiast first pointed this out to me on a St. Louis videoblog:
http://www.podtech.net/home/technology/2127/vintage-mac-collector
Awesome video, but more importantly, what a sight to behold for Mac fans. - Szandor, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Wow, you're as quick as electricity.

- noahs, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1yay?
- andrewpate, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Yep so just hopped on ebay and bought about 5 new(old) macs. I'm hoping a large collector's market opens soon, and I can make some profit off my investment.
1. Buy Old Macs
2. Post about it on digg.com
3. ???
4. Profit!!
/sarc - recockulous, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1I've got a Powerbook 5300cs doorstop I can send him. Damn thing was "collectable" 9 months after I bought it (circa 1996). I haven't bought another Powerbook since.
/worst.powerbook.ever - justintsmith, on 10/12/2007, -4/+2He probably has so many because as soon as you finally get your incredible top of the line mac, Jobs releases another one that makes yours look like a piece of *****.
- wayne16991, on 10/12/2007, -3/+0Starcraft with one mouse button? Back when I had a 400MHz PowerBook G4 starcraft multiplayer lagged like ***** after 15 minutes and was practically unplayable. I can't see how you could even play it reasonably on a G3 iMac with other players.
- Chupatumama, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1Some thing tells me that Jeremy Mehrle - Über Mac Collector
is also known often as Jeremy Mehrle - Über Mac virgin - mikolupi, on 10/12/2007, -5/+0WOW! Do all of them work?
- KingLeo, on 10/12/2007, -8/+3Dang... I don't even think Steve Jobs has this many Macs in his house! Woz... maybe.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -8/+3He's got the whole apple tree.
- evilspoons, on 10/12/2007, -8/+275 isn't really "close to 100" in my opinion, and 16 of them are part of a bar. But that's still a lot of computers. I wonder if he'd be willing to take my Performa 580CD off of me, as it's completely useless (it's one of the only models that can't run Linux or BSD).
- snakesonasam, on 10/12/2007, -7/+1wow
i bet no one has that many pcs
