You're now on my blocked list. - JGuest, on 10/12/2007, -2/+9You got some well researched points there...
- Maddoktor2, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8Gee... Thanks for that worthless comment.
- mateo60, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6That's a great idea. I use FrontRow all of the time, but I never thought to have my internet radio through it.
- redrabbit, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3One thing that has always bugged me about Front Row is that you can only play movies in your Movies folder from it, as I keep my movies on an external drive. A solution I found that works well is making aliases (shortcuts) of all your movies on your external (or other location) and putting them in the movies folder, and presto, Front Row plays movies located elsewhere perfectly.
- jads, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3If it doesn't interest you then why comment about it?
dumbass - jimlau, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2@fyre:
I do the same thing, just have a playlist (I call it "Streaming") with my favorite stations. The cool bit is that not only can Front Row find and play them, my Xbox 360 can as well through Connect360. I think net radio functionality should be built into the 360, but this is a pretty cool way to do it, imo. - Rodzirra, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2The article says you should create a Smart Playlist using "MPEG streaming audio" for the Kind. You should also add "Playlist URL" as another filter rule, since some streams use that as a Kind.
- fmayakos, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2that... or you can make an alias of a whole folder and drop it in Movies folder.
- rodrigo74, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I don't know exactly why, but this article made me think how sweet it would be to have mac remote support on Joost.
- infiniteparadox, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1As soon as you play a "Playlist URL" it converts to a MPEG Audio Stream...
- mikeroySoft, on 10/19/2009, -0/+1Nice indeed, but i fail to see what the problem is with playing radio in FrontRow?
Just make a playlist and add the radio stations to it
I was doing it all morning while using my w810i phone as a bluetooth-frontrow remote... Digitally Imported, Bassdrive and Philosomatika FTW! - ismith, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2How do you prefer your files? Ultimate, Home Premium, Home Basic, Business, or Enterprise?
- tracydanger, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I had a "Favorite Radio" playlist a long time ago, but never used it in FrontRow. Not a bad idea.
- infiniteparadox, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1How about RemoteBuddy... Their Behavior Construction Kit can easily enable the Apple Remote to control most applications. As long as you can access all the key features with key combinations.
shane - SLH06, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1strange...I was wondering how I could do this earlier today and all of the sudden this appears on digg. Never came to mind before. great timing :-D
- pengu, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2wow, way to show you have absolutely no understanding of how itunes/frontrow work or what they do.
idiot. - infiniteparadox, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1EyeTV integrates well with FrontRow. I used the combo for my mediacenter... Single click of the menu button and it pauses EyeTV and jumps to FrontRow. Exit FrontRow and it jumps back to EyeTV. Hold the menu button and it jumps to eyetv's menu
- geppapa, on 10/12/2007, -5/+5nice!
- davidleeroth, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1To play radio in my Dashboard, I use the RadioTuner widget. It's pretty awesome.... I listen to Russian stations so I can pick things up :)
- foamcow, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Neat tip
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -10/+1Only iMovies and iMusic iPurchased from the iTunes Music Store are iSupposed to be iPlayed with Front Row.
Say hello to the new iEvil Apple - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -35/+3Gee... Thanks for this worthless bit of info.
