- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+39of course its a cave, where else would they keep the Applemobile
- spidoman, on 10/12/2007, -1/+26I don't think I've ever heard "proper link" associated with a pdf file. :P
- thund3r5, on 10/12/2007, -0/+14Wow I live In Los Gatos and I had no idea he even lived here. I do like how they call it "exclusive area of Los Gatos", although I was little disappointed by his house and the fact that he doesn't even Live there anymore, so now its just another expensive house in the Los Gatos Hills.
- Giever, on 10/12/2007, -1/+14The thing is, I don't think simply stating that, as a fact, "all of the materials used in the house are organic," qualifies as being smug. Environmentalist, possibly, but smug, I don't think so.
- mrASSMAN, on 10/12/2007, -6/+18..calm down
- macewan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+10direct link
http://www.legendaryestate.com/flash/film.swf - VolsFan, on 10/12/2007, -4/+13Who says he's being smug about it? Seeing as Woz isn't the one bringing the point up, he seems more like a humble environmentalist. Oh wait, I forgot... if we protect the environment, then the terrorists win!
- Rickler, on 10/12/2007, -2/+9"I think woz is one of the smartest inventers of our time. if it where not for him computers would still be owned by huge corperations and cost 10,000 bucks."
It's interesting that he built his own computers.. yet, apple doesn't like people who build their own computers. - oSiBo, on 10/12/2007, -4/+10Blogspam. Cmon dudes just post to the real content. No one will read your blog.
- envy860, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6This is a very nice looking house. Usually modern (home architecture) is overdone/tacky, but this has clean, flowing, open spaces. Wish I could afford it. At first I thought it would be gimmicky (based on a previous description and the cave and all) but this is clearly not the case.
- OmegaNine, on 10/12/2007, -3/+9I think woz is one of the smartest inventers of our time. if it where not for him computers would still be owned by huge corperations and cost 10,000 bucks.
- zyntax, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5It's missing something - The Segway polo field!
- andrew311, on 10/12/2007, -4/+9What is with people posting crappy links with barely any substance to blogs I don't care about? Stop being traffic whores.
- AZTriGuy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5"The 7,100-sq foot house has 6 bedrooms and 7.5 baths and seems relatively normal....."
Ok, those of use who own homes know that in and of itself isn't realtively normal... - subject117, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7Actually, it's his OLD house.
"It was once the home of Apple Computer co-founder Steve Wozniak."

- bantam, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Hmm maybe it should be a Los Gatos Apple store lol
- signal15, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4I hardly think everything in the house being organic qualifies as "smug environmentalist". I just finished remodeling my house, and it was done with 95% natural materials, stone, hardwood, carbon steel, etc. And I'm certainly no environmentalist. I just like the feel of something that's been used for hundreds/thousands of years for building homes. The materials feel more solid than most things which are manufactured, and they look like they are much better quality. I chose the materials I did because they stand up to the test of time, not because they are are environmentally friendly. That thought hadn't even crossed my mind until I read your post.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Cribs: Geek edition.
- mgreenwald, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4DIGG Cribz.
- magaman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4ok you know you have a crap load of money when you can afford to pay the original Little Mermaid artist to paint a mural in your kids room. I wanna see more pics of the cave and the arcade
- scosol, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4I delivered pizza to Steve Wozniak once-
He was at a friend's place, an apartment by Coleman Reservoir- - krewemaynard, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5And a nice, suggestive picture of the cave as well.
- tektalk, on 10/12/2007, -3/+7Wow this man has real taste in the fine and modern living!
He combines nature with simplicity and technology almost seamless,
I want his house designer! - BeachSide, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Unless it's a hole in a tree or a real cave it could be considered "man made"
House built with wood? Man cut the tree down and made it into 2x4's etc...
House built with steel? Man mined the iron ore and made it into steel studs etc... - kevinmotel, on 10/12/2007, -3/+6why is steel better? because its strong than "organic" components? isn't spider web (an organic compound) three times stronger than steel?
i'm sorry fellow digg users, i just had to fight ***** with ***** there - meekar, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3dude ... dude ... that's effing awesome
I want that house... - gimianame, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4i think its interesting that he, a tech titan, has multiple espresso lounges...back in the day, the industrialist would have had multiple liquor bars and smoking lounges instead...
- Genobawt, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2the digg effect sucks... when i get there after it's raped the site's bandwidth.
- MBarnwell, on 10/12/2007, -3/+5that house is simply amazing
- blehh, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2@D3koy: yep, it does.
- greendaale, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2trouble with the server. So maybe we should get along and use bit-torrent ;)
- SilentSpyder, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2No lasers?
- hangtown, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Yeah, because the fact you can't afford it has nothing to do with it.
- lightdifference, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3I personally know the area really well; I used to live in Monte Sereno and it was probably one of the best experiences of my life. It is as exclusive as everyone is saying it is. Downtown is small and classy and the area itself is nice. Putting the crap aside, you haven't seen the view of the entire valley woz had. I can just tell you that it's amazing as heck without having seen it. View aside, Woz isn't known for living an extravagant life, either. And the interesting thing is, this isn't the rich area of Los Gatos. Monte Sereno and Saratoga are by far more wealthy, and when you see the homes around Villa Montalvo ~10 million becomes nothing. I mean, it's pretty much all rich (Austin Martin and soon to be Lambo dealer in the same area.) This is old news; been known around here for months, btw. I've been waiting around for this to pop up.
- underburn, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I'll Take it!
- signal15, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1That's true. However, what most people don't realize if if you do your own design and some of the labor, getting some pretty amazing features in your house doesn't cost anymore than the plain vanilla box with a few windows. The quotes I got to design and remodel the first floor of my house were all $90-100k. I ended up with an idea and kind of designed it as I went along, and did all of it for in the $20's, which included a sheetrock guy and a hardwood floor finishing guy. The moola I saved went into really really nice materials, appliances, and furniture.
People almost crap themselves when they walk in here for the first time, and I spent way less than someone else who did professional design, but used crappy stuff. - bantam, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3I have this thing with homes, i love Steve's house but i wouldn't want to buy it simply because i would want to design my own home and be a part of the design of it.
