You might try renaming it as .QFX. Most banks have a link called "WebConnect" that will give you a QFX file. - CovardeAnonimo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0i tried to import an .ofx file in quicken 2005 for Mac with no success. it doesn't even recognize the file as a supported format >.<
why's that ? what kind of format do i need to import my bank transactions without manual input ? - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0This is very strange (that Intuit would do this). It seems like if anyone would discriminate against Mac users, it would be Microsoft for their product Microsoft Money (is it even available for Mac?). It seems like Mac users would naturally gravitate towards non-Microsoft products, and Intuit would have a niche market on Macs. Maybe if everyone learns the work-around, Intuit will get rid of it!

After I bought it I stopped using it because it wouldn't work with my bank and it was so much trouble to enter everything in by hand. I don't understand what Quicken is thinking. If this article is right, they are basically trying to extort money from banks by holding mac users hostage. Maybe they have some legitimate reason for this, but it sure seems like a bad way to run a business.
