- Derfus, on 10/12/2007, -2/+27Great now a million zit popping iPod kids are going to call in and destroy Apple Corporate.
just wait til the anti-mac crowd gets a hold of this one - beneboy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+24It seems kind of silly that the article explains how to pronounce "Gene" but not "Tuluse".
- wastern, on 10/12/2007, -1/+16Digg is going to ruin this for everyone. You know its true
- JHawk24821, on 10/12/2007, -1/+15"These guys (and gals) are CR super-ninjas, so threats, yelling, cursing, and generally rude behavior has no effect on them."
However, posting their boss's "direct line" will really reserve you a warm place in their hearts! - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+10Fishy? Probably not.
However, now that it made the front page of digg... it is highly likely that she will be getting a new phone number and the one posted in the article will simply be routed to 'regular joes'. - gcnaddict, on 10/12/2007, -3/+10Yes I do, but unlike the dumbass(es?) who posted the apple info online, I don't plan on screwing Dell's high-level support over.
- drpatter, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9Guys, if you know stuff like this and want to use it. Keep it to your self. Are you really that dumb to post something like this?
"I found something really cool that works, how can I ruin it?"
-The submitter - JacNet, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7It is really going to work now.
- furyg3, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4From the site:
"Tipster Thirdgen adds that in general, Apple will not replace a machine unless it has been unsuccessfully fixed 3 or more times for the same issue, or several major repairs (i.e. a logic board, a screen, a top case as separate repairs)."
Well THEY BETTER! In California (and I suspect other states) if the same part is repaired 3 times the electronic equipment (like cars) are considered a Lemon and are protected by consumer rights laws. By law, they have to give you your money back.
I used this on a Dell laptop (3 year warranty) which I had sent back several times. 2 months before the warranty ran out I sent them a letter informing them that I had sent back my laptop 8 times, and that this made it a lemon under CA law. They sent me a brand-spanking new model in hopes that I wouldn't ask for my money back. - enjourni, on 10/12/2007, -3/+6What is the point? Trying to get a top apple HR person is not going to help you replace your ipod with a dead battery any faster. Get over yourself.
lol. Seems like peeps think having SJ's house phone will make them god or something. "Hey Steve! You should give me a free iPod!" Most likely he will just send cops to your house to spank your ass.
Stop trying to get numbers of top execs. It serves no point, other then pissing off apple and making them want to hurt you. - Sandkat, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Sacramento or Austin?
- farther, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2All you have to do to not get passed down to the Indians is to tell them you're part of a corporation. Upper echelon *****. Even if you have to make up a name, that's fine. If you seek out Executive Service, then you must act and speak and lie as if you are an Executive.
- tempusrob, on 10/12/2007, -3/+4"I am betting the Dell counterparts still barely speak English and read a script that they are required to read or they will face beatings..."
Maybe the Home user customer support. But on the Business Gold Support side, even the 1st-level support has native English speakers who won't waste your time with scripts. - twitsami, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Actually HuntValley MD. ;)
- DirtySnachez, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1You clowns crack me up
- hafniOum, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3reported as Lame.
Normal customer have no need to get that far. those person are there for Corporate company having major issue. No for kiddies with broken iPods.
If you do call they will send back your request to first Level support. By any luck if they thinks that your problem require second support they will move your call. Yelling won't help you out.... you will just make them laugh. - fenixx, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2I'm sure by Monday Gene Teluse will be "unavailable" when someone attempts to access her voicemail, etc.
The more who digg this, the less likely it will work.
It's not like Apple doesn't have internet access. - twitsami, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1These things are quite funny. I use to be tier 2 for apple so I've taken issues handed down from corporate before, and in all honesty it kinda does make the whole thing go a bit faster...(corp doesn't usually have the tech skills they have the customer skills, so sometimes they just tell you to "take care" of the customer)... you just better make sure the issue is hardware though... if its software your screwing yourself over, and you'll never get the issue resolved... 90% of the time if your ipod has an issue its either software (ie. a windows network drive taking the ipod drive letter), or its abuse...
- quazywabbit, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Just left working for Apple (also in tier 2), and had a few friends over in ER.
- gcnaddict, on 10/12/2007, -7/+7"I am betting the Dell counterparts still barely speak English and read a script that they are required to read or they will face beatings..."
You lose the bet. You don't pass go, and you don't get 200 dollars. - edzieba, on 10/12/2007, -4/+4"These guys (and gals) are CR super-ninjas, so threats, yelling, cursing, and generally rude behavior has no effect on them."
CR ninja drops from the rafters, hits you dead-on with a deftly thrown "we're sorry for the inconvenience" muffin basket, and disappears into the night. - chrismcelligott, on 10/12/2007, -4/+3When rining AppleCare you should always ask to go to tier 2 support, you'll get your ***** done.
- FinishdLawSkool, on 10/12/2007, -10/+9I am betting the Dell counterparts still barely speak English and read a script that they are required to read or they will face beatings...
- marix, on 10/12/2007, -7/+5anyone have one of these for dell?
- DirtySnachez, on 10/12/2007, -8/+2LOL. Dugg down for actually thinking about what I said and then deciding to remove it, rather than dribbling more ***** on the comment system.
- wphj, on 10/12/2007, -12/+4Seems fishy to me.
- DirtySnachez, on 10/12/2007, -13/+2-snip-
- dn2004, on 10/12/2007, -13/+1hmm
- gothelder, on 10/12/2007, -15/+1Just tell em yer running Panther on your Dell, by the time they figure out you have no apple key and your mouse has more than one button your probably gonna be fixed.
