- dan0111, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Interesting site. Not a lot of content but needs sites like digg to promote it.
+digg - OriginalGamer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0This is so cool, I knew a site like this would eventually pop up. Some iPod content has surfaced on other torrent sites but most of it isn't even compatible with the iPod. Nice to see most of the stuff on Podtropolis is in .m4v which is the official iTunes/iPod video format. Can't wait till I get home and download some stuff to watch in my boring classes ;)
- Vortech89, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I'm liking Podtropolis already. Now all I need is an iPod. But the nice thing is, you don't need an iPod to watch these movies. You can still watch them in iTunes.
- vypergts, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Not to be a stick in the mud, but I have a feeling that this site is several lawsuits waiting to happen. Putting DVDs on your ipod that you didn't pay for has to be a violation of the f***ing DMCA.
Plus, limited content or no, I'd rather download a high quality version of something and then do the compression myself so thtat I don't just have to watch it on my iPod or at a crummy 480x480 (or 704x304 max) resolution. - OriginalGamer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Yeah but doing the conversion into H.264 takes time and system resources, ex. QT7 Pro conversion takes like 6 hours for every 1 hour of video. I find it really convenient to just download a bunch of TV shows/ music videos at night and then have them ready for me to put on my iPod in the morning.
- t1mmy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0That didn't take too long

I was sure it was going to be hosted overseas... but after a whois I'm not so sure...

- Hochler, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Just uploaded my Gorillaz collection. =]
- EpicSA, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Apparently, Matx feels that if you pay less than $35 a year for your domain it is laughable and not a smart business move.
- jefferson, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Ahhh Canada the home of the free, theres pretty much zero chance of whoever runs this site getting any legal problems whatsoever. The courts have been very leniant. In fact internet service providers are not required to give out the identity of people who trade files. But this guy should stay outta the states. Who uses their real name to do illegal stuff on the internet?
- mikeazorin, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I'm downloading and seeding everything just to support the cause.
- diehard2k5, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Neat idea I suppose. Not a lot of seeds or leechers though. True, I'd much rather do the conversions myself and still have the HQ vers. on my computer. For those that want a easy, simple, and free converter for basically anything XviD or MPG to iPod formats, check out http://www.videora.com/en-us/Converter/iPod/download.php
- jtray, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Hey this is great! I just got my 60 gig iPod with Video this weekend, and it kicks the lamas ass. Watched Digital Life TV first off and started converting my DVD's to mp4. Got to love Tech.
- mikataur, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Needs direct download links, I hate having to click-thru and back just to get the .torrent file.
Notice they have a music video there - John Lennon, "Instant Karma." - dewey, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Need more seeds, definitely.
But it has potential, dugg. - igro, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Shut down allready?
