The first picture has a resolution of 1600x1200, which is 1.92MP. The iPhone is supposed to have a 2MP camera.

- kungming2, on 10/12/2007, -4/+51The quality of the pictures are really nice for a phone! My old Kodak camera took pictures at 1600*1200, and it was a two-megapixel camera as well. The pictures seem quite comparable.

If it's really running OS X, there should be a lower frame-rate version of iChat included. Imagine sitting at Starbucks, sipping a latte, connected to their WiFi and chatting away with distant friends and family. I think this boat was missed.

Believe it or not, it's true.
This is a cell phone. It has a touch screen. And it plays music, with 4 or 8 gigabytes built-in storage. It has internet access, and a sleek UI.
Oh, btw, it has a camera.
Again, all those things I said (sleek UI, the fact that it has a touch screen and plays music) is all subjective. You don't have to like it. - Blazer, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7Meh, my Sony Ericsson W810i takes pictures that look as well if not better, and can even take panoramic pictures where you take 3 seperate shots and they are stitched together by the phone software. I don't really see anything of importance in this "find" other than that it indicates that there are some people out there already using an iPhone. But since the guy seems to be connected to apple, well that's no surprise.

- psylence, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4exif just holds a flag indicating the orientation, it doesn't modify your images, that'd certainly piss people off.
- noelchurchill, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Don't you think the first picture, being sideways, is oriented wrong? I think a device, as smart as the iphone is, which has sensors to know if it's being held upright or sideways, should be able to automatically rotate the pictures so they're always right side up. But that could be an easy software fix that isn't implemented yet.
