First Blue Screen of Death on Apple Boot Camp Imac

dealcatcher.com — So I decided try out the new Apple Boot Camp Beta to dual boot Windows XP on my Imac. Everything went great then I got the oh so famous blue screen of death after 30 minutes of using Windows.

  • Drahknon, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3There are some good reasons. During gradschool, for example, they used SecureExam for tests and wouldn't pony up for a Mac license... so Mac users were out of luck. Runnng XP would have solved the problem.

    So it seems MS's driver has some bugs on Intel Macs.

Now its on the front page of Engadget and TUAW. I wonder if a bunch of Apple share holders didn't want this on the front page of Digg since there stock is doing so well today.

  • Lord_oftheTrons, on 10/12/2007, -11/+7My XP box is stable, I would never have to reboot if there weren't updates every once in a while. I've had some pretty impressive uptimes with no problems. If you know how to use a windows OS, it can work fine. There are just millions of morons out there that use no virus protection and cause havoc.

    For every one Mac/*nix user that is a complete idiot, there are 10 on windows that willingly click that "PUNCH THE MONKEY AND GET $1,000,000" buttons. You write malware for the OS you are most likely to see, not some OS with a small market share.
