- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -9/+90I love how only Apple products have unpacking picutres. You never see, "Sony VAIO unpacking pics" Apple is really doing it right.
- NightRush, on 10/12/2007, -14/+67When Apple made computer pakaging cool.
- kaiyraa, on 10/12/2007, -11/+63Are you new to the internet?
- trylleklovn, on 10/12/2007, -2/+29He can afford both the 20" and 24" iMac but not a decent desktop for them?
- qpid, on 10/12/2007, -1/+27Doesn't look as big? It's the size of a 24" lcd with 2" of depth... how big did you expect it to look
- grayapple, on 10/12/2007, -5/+23chris9902 - yeah them Media Access Control's get me right off.
- jujubear, on 10/12/2007, -6/+24Let me assure you dotnetnoob, my flaming homoness has nothing to do with my use of a Macintosh, although the cool design does compliment it well.
- grayapple, on 10/12/2007, -0/+16That's the ***** nature screensaver thats ships by defualt on all Macs.
- Wavey, on 10/12/2007, -1/+16Yeah, Windows is a workhorse. Stops to take a dump every once in a while, and says "neigh" when I want it to do something.
- otatop, on 10/12/2007, -0/+14Are you retarded? Those aren't pot leaves.
- manfesto, on 10/12/2007, -1/+14@AdamD
You'd be much better served by buying an external monitor for your MBP. The Core 2 Duos are (at least at the moment) not significantly faster than the Core Duos - at least not enough to warrant buying a whole new machine, IMHO. Moreover, Adobe CS and Macromedia (well, I guess technically Adobe) Studio 8 run in Rosetta, so regardless of which machine you'll run it on, it'll run emulated and you won't get the best performance.
As far as the Mighty Mouse goes - I like it. I use it at work. I like how the entire shell moves when you left, right, or middle click, and I like how the scrollball scrolls. However, the side buttons aren't very responsive, and even if they were, the mouse is still not worth $50. - grayapple, on 10/12/2007, -2/+14It's not 24".
- mrgono3, on 10/12/2007, -3/+15Pictures aren't that great. But I wish I had an iMac.
- hangtown, on 10/12/2007, -5/+17Windows is a workhorse huh? Tell that to my @#%@#% thinkpad at work that runs like crap thanks to windows.
Linux or OS X or pretty much any unix OS is going to be a workhorse compared to any windows system. - slundal, on 10/12/2007, -2/+13Well he probably spent all his money on the 24".
- samgab, on 10/12/2007, -5/+16@dotnetnoob. Look, I understand you're probably new to this English language thing, but honestly, don't you think you could try just a little harder? I mean:
"Windows or Linux PC are workhorse. it's cool that Apple make you wet."
What does that mean?
I assume what you meant to say was: "Windows or Linux PCs are workhorses. It's cool that Apple makes you wet."
The real problem, though, is that even if your spelling and grammar were correct, you'd still be talking crap. - smcavoy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+10Most likely it is similar to the way you would for a Windows PC that is 2" thick
- jarvuss, on 10/12/2007, -2/+10I work in the office that maintains computers across my college campus, and we got 16 of the 20" iMacs this summer, they are amazing!! I can't image what the 24" is like. I def want one! Too bad I'm a poor college student.
- ThankTheCheese, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9yeah but you pay that much for a .mac account -- you should get a crap ton of bandwidth.
- dizzybastard, on 10/12/2007, -2/+10.Mac is down...
what a suprise...

(too bad you can't enlarge pictures on duggmirror) - jarvuss, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7I like the mighty mouse over the old school one button mouse. Although, the mighty mouse is still one big piece of plastic on top so I have found that you have to make sure you click way to the right or else it still does a left click. Personally I prefer just a normal two button mouse. But the multi-directional scroll ball and the side buttons are a cool feature. So when it comes to a normal 2 button mouse it just depends on personal taste, but over the single button mouse, it's hands down better. But that's just what I think.
- ArcusOfSV, on 10/12/2007, -3/+9That guy should take less time taking pics and spend more time cleaning. What a pig.

"We're Sorry

If the page you requested is yours, click here for more information." - 15charmaxwtf, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7It's like buying a supercar and being unable to afford petrol!! oh wait, maybe a nice garage would be a better analogy.
- grayapple, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7Open up the back and replace it.
- xr56n44, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6those are really crappy pix. doesn't trigger my computer acquisition syndrome at all. i don't have the slightest urge to get one.
PSYCH!
i want one now! dammit - sketchydave, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6That was not a wise upgrade and you know that was put on a credit card, and probably along with the other iMac as well. But he has a new iMac and will enjoy it while eating ramen and washing it down with teeni drinks.
Not that I'm jealous or spiteful or anything. - unfinity, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7This adds that much more weight to the argument that .mac isn't worth the money.

(this guys shot is better I think, as you can compare it to the keyboard) - etandrib, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4I don't think it is that unrealistic to think a -61 (at the time I wrote this) is all that hard to see from such a biased and skewed comment. No matter which OS you favor... his comment still deserves to be modded down. And mod it down I did. ;-)
- cmiller1, on 10/12/2007, -10/+14You DON'T think this is an actual customer? Wow, you PC fanbois are ***** up in the head.
- shamam, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4.mac isn't down, the guy went over his bandwidth limits.
- Seidoger, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Yeah his old computer was so OLD. He NEEDED a new one IMMEDIATELY.
- cubs2234, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3i think i just drooled on the keyboard
- theone3, on 10/12/2007, -15/+18What I dont get is that this is no different to unpacking a 20" iMac - you just have to imagine the screen being a little bigger.
Also I dont understand why you'd spend so much money on a screen that is attached to a hardware generation. When I buy a screen, it lasts me at least two computers. If you're buying the best screen out there, it should last longer. This seems like straight out profiteering to me. - cannibaljp, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3these pictures don't really show how big the monitor is...
i want to see it next to a gen 1 iMac...
that'll give a little perspective! - Robotsu, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Javascript image pop-ups.. ARGGH!!!. Seriously. Thanks for uploading the pictures though, I appreciate it.
- vprice509, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2me jealous.
- cwcheang, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2you can still click continue.....
- Qoogirl, on 10/12/2007, -12/+14It doesn't look as big as I thought. It actually kinda makes me want one now. =X Great.
- DaMOT, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4I use my MBP for everything, e.g. Flash, video editing etc. and I'm fairly happy with it. So if you're happy with yours, why change it? If you have the cash though and don't know what else to do with it, why not?
As for the Mighty Mouse, I really like mine, though I don't use it that often. But I don't see why some other mouse should not be just as good. You should go to an Apple Store and just try the mouse out and see for yourself if you want to spend the 50$. - leftfoot, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Damn, get a vacuum or something.
He should have put the 2 side-by-side so we could actually get a real comparison. The angle he has them at makes the 24" not look any bigger than the 20". - jcpudd, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Everyone ignore dotnetnoob, he is a troll. He goes on every Apple story and talks smack. But yet he has never Dugg any story.
He is here just to get attention. - Wintrmte, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Holy hell! Someone call fire marshall Bill on that guy, that's a cable mess under his desk that needs some serious attention!!
- satansbanjo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2That's one beast of a computer - on one of the screenshots it looks as if you can see the curve of the earth
- 21.0, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2rofl, looks like that guy lives at a disney world gift shop.
- antdude, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Coral Caches didn't work either.
- janmc, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Pictures aren't amazing - would be better with a comparison shot. Still extremely jealous though!
That box must weigh a ton - my 20 inch iMac is pretty heavy. - Kanaka, on 10/12/2007, -3/+4Shots aren't really impressive, the whole thing is dark and cluttered. More like a "here's my rig" set of shots. From the pics though i know i definately CANNOT splurge for a 24" iMac. Waste of money IMHO, sticking to the 20" IF i decide to get an iMac. Im not a fan of the all-in-one design.....especially the chin, plus its too "white".
- Bassguy, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Ah! Thanks for pointing that out. I wondered why the larger versions weren't loading for me.
