- Elektriq, on 10/12/2007, -33/+352I love my iPod, I love my MacBook. I need my Windows PC.
- autodata, on 10/12/2007, -11/+126Bad news for you, macmcrae: John Hodgman is a long-time mac user and fan.
- benijuana, on 10/12/2007, -2/+104he should have thrown a dodgeball
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -69/+162John Hodgeman is so much cooler than the other guy it makes me proud to be a pc person.
- slippin84, on 10/12/2007, -5/+89Or a wrench
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -22/+106Justin long really does look like a peacenik hippie- John Hodgman means business.
- jmp120, on 10/12/2007, -4/+72"If you can dodge a wrench, you can dodge a ball."
- zephc, on 10/12/2007, -15/+71I love my C2D MacBook Pro, I love my iPod, and I don't really NEED a PC, but I have Windows on my MBP to play CS:S and Oblivion.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -16/+68They don't need to, evidently.
- Waterispoison, on 10/12/2007, -3/+52http://youtube.com/watch?v=tGvHNNOLnCk
This is obviously the best Microsoft ad...evar - bandomac, on 10/12/2007, -19/+68He is a PC, not Windows. Now, STFU moron!
- emorphien, on 10/12/2007, -5/+50no but seriously, that whole string of Apple ads has gotten more deranged/retarded and pointless as time has progressed. They went from being a friendly way of saying we can work together to basically making crap up.
- metalhead3767, on 10/12/2007, -9/+53Although the Mac commercials are funny they tend to be full of BS. Like how it takes a IT guy to install a webcam on a PC and he does it with duct tape while the mac has it built in.
- cloakeddagger, on 10/12/2007, -46/+88"I love my iPod, I love my MacBook. I need my Windows PC."
thats the way microsoft wants it... no... *makes* it. - GawtMilk, on 10/12/2007, -10/+51Actually, I guess it should be "If you can dodge our ads, you can dodge our *****!".
- zdiggler, on 10/12/2007, -14/+52"I especially love the add that talks about how Windows doesn't come standard with a WebCam. NO *****;"
I have a old ASUS laptop and it comes with WebCAM and even old Vaio came with webcams. that was years before Mac even becomes popular again. - Yashar, on 10/12/2007, -9/+42@Tmacman

You don't see Apple putting that much into their commercials. - danielwsmithee, on 10/12/2007, -2/+30I'm still trying to figure out those dinosaur ads for office.
- alwaysmc2, on 10/12/2007, -1/+28It's the Digg system. People like it, then it goes to the front page. Where have you been?
- Tmacman, on 10/12/2007, -20/+46Yeah? When was the last time MS produced a memorable ad?
- inactive, on 05/12/2008, -4/+28I wish Apple would stop running those arrogant ads. They give John Hodgman (the PC) all the good lines while making the Mac smugly superior, and make shallow points that anyone who's running a PC would know are half-truths. Yet the target market for these ads is supposed to be PC users. Doesn't make any sense, and it makes people hate Apple.

where's pacman when you need him? - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -6/+25PC's come with all kinds of stuff built in. What is built in depends on the system you purchase. Besides, if you spend the same money on building your own PC as you would on purchasing a Mac, you'd end up with a hell of a machine for the money. That's the beauty of the IBM model being open to anybody. Mac is fashionable, but they're still the commies of the computing world.
- mikev, on 10/12/2007, -3/+21Umm.....welcome to the...umm...social?
- ignition, on 10/12/2007, -8/+25Yeah I agree, There are a lot of pc's on the market that come with camera's built in. I just can't wait till they talk about all the great gaming you can do on a mac!
- superal1394, on 10/12/2007, -2/+18Why doesn't windows cost 99 dollars anymore?
best microsoft ad (unfortunately unaired):
http://youtube.com/watch?v=qNuRQmvykwk - Slungsolow, on 10/12/2007, -0/+14It has nothing to do with you liking it, it has to do with the community liking it.
- betterth, on 10/12/2007, -10/+23@colin
You're a retard. Dell sells the most up-to-date hardware at very competitive prices, and 9/10 times is cheaper than Apple. A P4 2.8? Dell hasn't sold the P4 line in /years/.
$999 Dell XPs. Core2 Duo E6300, 1GB memory, 19" LCD Monitor, 256MB nVidia 7300, 250GB SATA HDD
$999 iMac. Core2 Duo Unspecified 1.86ghz, 512MB memory, Intel GMA950 Graphics 64MB, 160GB SATA HDD, 17" LCD,
Mac has /never/ done well in the low-mid priced areas, as the Dell here beats it in /every single catagory/, unless Apples "unspecified" 1.86GHz is the E6300.
And don't say Mini, because Dell beats Apple at /any/ sub-2000 to 2500 dollar price point, period. - mrbimpel, on 10/12/2007, -0/+13Unless of course it's Mcafee, which never really seems to go away
- ILikeBeets, on 10/12/2007, -0/+12Stupid. Only slightly more creative than a sticker on the back window of someone's car depicting Calvin taking a piss on the logo of your choice.
- benijuana, on 10/12/2007, -1/+13this will always be the best mac ad

stoner chicks keep me going through these long winter months - vbsurfer, on 10/12/2007, -2/+13BUY A MACTEL.
Leopard + Vista = everyone shut up. - ajc30, on 10/12/2007, -0/+11I still use windows for compatibility, compatibility, compatibility:
1) Powerful windows only DSP design tools (Yes, I could run these in some sort of VMware equivalent but why pay for 2 OSes)
2) City of Heroes: My MMO of choice
3) Web Multimedia,Until a few days ago adult swim fix wasn't mac compatible, mtvU doesn't even play nice with firefox, there are tons of sites that still require IE on Windows.
There are tons of field specific windows only niche tools, like autocad, etc.
Honestly though, If all my apps magically worked and I didn't have to worry about dual booting or virtualization of 3rd party API implementations, I wouldn't use windows, but I wouldn't be using Macs either, I would be on Linux. - foolfromhell, on 10/12/2007, -12/+22Well, guns are in videogames, and macs cant really play games...
- earthtoandy, on 10/12/2007, -1/+10"John Hodgeman is so much cooler than the other guy it makes me proud to be a pc person."
John Hodgman, Mac user since 1984. In fact he hates PCs. - aikahanyou, on 10/12/2007, -6/+14@Syphon
They've produced ads recently... at least they have where I live (Canada). The new ones are something about children and realizing potential... you know, stuff that doesn't have much to do with Windows in the first place. Perhaps they mean enhancing childrens' problem-solving skills...? - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -5/+13Oh man, that picture made me laugh. Those mac commercials do get irritating after a while...
- PRlME, on 10/12/2007, -3/+10WTF are you talking about Mac charges every time you have to upgrade, and thats like ever week. Jaguar Tiger Lion Bear Donkey.
- BobcatBowling, on 10/31/2007, -1/+7Except for the part that PC stands for Personal Computer. Wow your a genius.
- G550, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Man can't we all just get along?? Some like PC, some like Mac, who cares....
PS. I'm writing this on my Mac, and it's so much easier than my old PC - bobdob, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6And the Mac guy hardly knew what one was. They're paid actors, who cares about what kind of machine they use?
- zdiggler, on 10/12/2007, -5/+11"Yeah I agree, There are a lot of pc's on the market that come with camera's built in. I just can't wait till they talk about all the great gaming you can do on a mac!"
Yeah, OSX doesn't even come with Solitaire unless you pay for it to download. - TheWorm, on 10/12/2007, -5/+10They both have highly paid advertising departments.
The macs are a little one sided, but obviously that's the point. In my oppinion, they don't really touch into a lot of the best reasons to get a mac. It's just a matter of what works best for you. But if you can't see that both are good in certain seperate ways then you're a little blinded.
Personally, I think the Zune ads were nice. Lacked what makes Apple ads special but still nice. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IvDFbmb9DwE
If I could have a Zune on my mac, I wouldn't even be too opposed to buying one. - alwaysmc2, on 10/12/2007, -4/+9Those ads made me dislike the look of the iMac and OS X. I can't help but assosiate them with those ads.
- Br0wn, on 10/12/2007, -3/+8You tards need to stop arguing over which is better. Obviously they both have their pros and cons which fits different needs. Be happy there are 2 major competitors, you wouldn't be so proud if there was only one type with rip off prices and such. And on that note, I prefer PC.
- Dharmamooch, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7Funny - I was at a friend's house last week and he had his PC webcam taped to the top of his monitor with double sided tape. Otherwise it wouldn't stay up there. I asked him if he'd seen the Mac ad with the webcam taped to the PC guys head. We all laughed. I used to velcro it there when I had a PC.
- benitojuarez, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6Guess what? MACS HAVE DRM TOO! How do you think you can watch that dvd on your mac there punchy.
App£e will have to bow down to the hollywood nazis too if you want to watch liscensed HD content on a mac. Just you wait you smug bastard. - redijedi, on 10/12/2007, -5/+9Actually its more like:
PC = Car
Mac = Public Transportation. Get where you want to go with out all the hazards of "driving"
I guess by your logic, the wage gap must be responsible for the Macs low market share.... - Luftwaffle, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5So this is the kind of stupid ***** that gets front-paged on digg? Wow.
