- Falldog, on 02/07/2008, -5/+204Nothing like people who have no understanding of technology to create and enforce tech laws.
- thinktrunk, on 02/07/2008, -2/+195"Danish Police Befuddled by 1G iMac"
This whole scene would make a killer commercial - fluidfoundation, on 02/07/2008, -1/+168The documents are inside the computer!
- edebolt, on 02/07/2008, -1/+151the arrival of a Coca-Cola bottle, thrown from a passing light aircraft, represents the only exposure that the bushmen have with western culture

mac to the officer: I AM THE COMPUTER FOOL! - Bossman1086, on 02/07/2008, -1/+144FTA: "The police were also very confused about how a neighbor could log onto their open, wireless network. 'The internet doesn't work that way,' was the officer's response."
Silly Danish Police. - Viend, on 02/07/2008, -1/+133Last time I checked, people thought the monitors were the entire computers. Seems like nowadays it's the other way round =/

- vdog, on 02/07/2008, -0/+70I dunno'. I still see too many movies and TV shows where they destroy the computer by shooting the monitor.
*sighs* - clinton1550, on 02/07/2008, -7/+73My school got a few 17" iMacs about 2 years ago, I remember watching on in disgust as 30 students tried to work out where the computer was. Such beautiful machines in the hands of those idiots, I shudder to think of what's become of those poor iMacs.
- MonkeyFarts, on 02/07/2008, -3/+61Um, when it's a police officer bringing charges against me, I sure as HELL expect them to know what they're talking about. Are you insane?
- imthe1, on 02/07/2008, -0/+54Well, I did get in trouble for not rewinding my iTunes Rental after I watched it.
- supaklaw, on 02/07/2008, -0/+51There must be an "on" button somewhere.
Did you press that apple thing?
Wait! Hansel!
Let's not lose our cool. Then we're no better than the machine. - CColtManM, on 02/07/2008, -7/+58That wasn't the quote from the movie dotlizard.

- RidiculousHat, on 02/07/2008, -1/+39Yes-- you see, law enforcement is like a series of tubes...
- supaklaw, on 02/07/2008, -1/+38I hope the theme from 2001 was playing when they were looking at it.
- mysticjim, on 02/07/2008, -0/+37I don't expect everyone to know everything about computers, but I do expect that if a person doesn't know some things about computers that the don't act like they do.
- techweenie1, on 02/07/2008, -6/+43Welcome to 1998
- mookst3r, on 02/07/2008, -4/+36Pirate Bay is going to be pissed, now that the cat is out of the bag!
- csrster, on 02/07/2008, -0/+32If they're investigating computer-based fraud then they'd better be a bit sharper than these jokers. Not only are they going to harass the wrong guys but they're pretty likely to miss the right guys. So they took the two computers they found in the apartment? Did they search for more PCs or network storage? Maybe the fraud was run off a PC booted from a live CD or flash drive so did they search the guy and his belongings for storage media?
- sfacets, on 02/07/2008, -1/+30Silly [insert nationality here] police.
- Akaji, on 02/07/2008, -4/+32Is it too much to expect that they know anything? Honestly, I wonder sometimes if using computers should be like driving a car - license required by law.

I don't understand why would anyone believe this story. I think they forget that Apple doesn't advertise iMac overseas as much as USA. - yodaj007, on 02/07/2008, -0/+14We're not digging you down because we shy from confrontation; we digg you down because while making your point you were a complete *****. You don't find it funny? We all seem to. Maybe you should stop insisting that everyone conform to your own sense of humor?
- ryryindo, on 02/07/2008, -1/+15"hey kid, imma computer, stop all the downloadin'!"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T9f1aiQAzJ4 - Yesplease, on 02/07/2008, -0/+13holy ***** that was unintelligible.

- tracydanger, on 02/07/2008, -0/+12My brother was helping someone with their computer. He asked if she had turned it off. She said yes. It didn't make sense (because of the problem), so he asked her to do it again. She proceeded to turn the monitor off & back on. Maybe she could use an iMac.
- jggr, on 02/07/2008, -1/+12Probably not too many under 30.
- Klarth, on 02/07/2008, -5/+16"she"

Unlike you, I have a brain - Spankov, on 02/07/2008, -4/+15What they actually said was "That's the computer??? That piece of *****???"
