- lorax3, on 10/10/2007, -9/+191I really hope it's touch-screen iPods, not just that "fat" version of the iPod Nano that was leaked a few days ago.

- Barbarino, on 10/10/2007, -10/+93I think the ipod needs more cowbell.
- rgury, on 10/10/2007, -8/+73Innovation is becoming a promise with these guys. The 5th is going to be fun.
- Dotdotdot, on 10/10/2007, -8/+59Unlike the iPhone, where touch screen works, I'd prefer real buttons on an iPod, as I (and many others) use it without looking at the device itself - it's easy to memorize the locations of the 4 buttons on a click wheel.
- Moskie, on 10/10/2007, -1/+49I'd give that up if I get the abilty to display video across the entire face of the device in return.
- Setter, on 10/10/2007, -6/+50Canada is poorly designed.
- ftlaudman, on 10/10/2007, -6/+40Wide/touch screen, Coverflow, and some good BEATLES action...
- Setter, on 10/10/2007, -6/+38VERIFIED: You're an *****.
- senorcool, on 10/10/2007, -6/+37iRack?
- manitoba98xp, on 10/10/2007, -3/+34You kidding? At least we still have our civil rights... :P
[/dugg-down] - ZigVicious, on 10/10/2007, -2/+31seriously. it's like america's hat.
- cklol, on 10/10/2007, -2/+29That's high satire right there.
- windowsrookie, on 10/10/2007, -10/+35iPods.
- edstate, on 10/10/2007, -1/+24Sub-compact laptop, please? Pretty please?
- Jerryskid02, on 10/10/2007, -8/+29iBaby. Why have babies that cry and poop everywhere when you can have an iBaby, the only baby that births itself, cleans itself, and feeds itself. Experience babies like you never knew possible. iBaby.
- harrisonx, on 10/10/2007, -3/+24personally, i think there will be both. I will buy an iPhone-style iPod the minute it is released.
- solistus, on 10/10/2007, -2/+22Have you actually price-compared a Mac to a PC in the past couple years? Last time I did, I was mildly surprised to find the Macbook Pro dominating other manufacturers' options in the same price range.
- MacParrot, on 10/10/2007, -1/+20Don't be too hard on him. He had to read a lot of posts from other Apple trolls to steal that material
- MonkeyBoy87, on 10/10/2007, -4/+21maybe for those outside the USA we will finally get TV/Movies in the iTunes store. if not, I swear his Steveness hates Canada
- Ludwig, on 10/10/2007, -3/+18I'd sacrifice tactile control of an iPod to gain the features of widescreen video and quicker browsing through music/video/photos.
I would not sacrifice tactile control of my phone for any reason. Not even if it gave me blowjobs. - blw1138, on 10/10/2007, -0/+14Must have missed that one
- bluemist, on 10/10/2007, -1/+15I think the so-called fat Nano would be real, but it won't replace the Nano. It will replace the 5.5G iPod, because all those iPod Games still need a platform, they don't work on iPhones right now.
There would be a new premium line of iPod which will be like iPhone without the phone. So there would be four iPod lines now:
iPod Pro (iPhone-like)
iPod fat (a smaller 5.5G)
iPod Nano (can they even make it thinner?)
iPod Shuffle (I bet they'll make this thinner)
I hope this is true. - liuping, on 10/10/2007, -0/+14The UK iTunes store got TV shows today.
- fanclerks, on 10/10/2007, -0/+14Isn't it obvious it's an announcement about the iPods? I mean, the invite has the albums like in Coverflow, so it has to have something to do with that. I'm hoping for a touchscreen iPod finally. Sell my current 80GB iPod and get the new one.
- imran7, on 10/10/2007, -4/+17wait... what?
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -1/+13Trust me, the intelligence briefings I got on the iRack are completely credible.
- CraigJ, on 10/10/2007, -0/+12Wow. you went and figured that out all by yourself? you are all kinds of smart
- MacParrot, on 10/10/2007, -0/+11DIAF. If you don't like Apple posts, then go away. Oh, I forgot. Without Apple posts, you couldn't manage to say much of anything to anyone. I guess this is kinda like therapy for nimrods like you.

- thinkjones, on 10/10/2007, -19/+28A windows mobile 6 based iPod?
- kashem, on 10/10/2007, -1/+10iPod -- tying all products together with OSX.
It would be nice to have Leopard released here as well just to sum it up, instead of having another event in October just for the OS release. - almalax19, on 10/10/2007, -0/+9Yea iPod fat. Apple just got sued by the fat people about their ad campaign for the iMac saying that "you can never be to thin". Now their gonna call their new iPod the iPod fat. Why post that kind of garbage. Use some discretion man.
- shikkaba, on 10/10/2007, -0/+9Good luck and thanks for playing. ;)
- foltaggio, on 07/11/2008, -4/+13Once Dylson hits 88 miles per hour, you're going to see grammatical errors. Learn the difference between your and you're.
- Verdanic, on 10/10/2007, -0/+8I really hope that most iPhone buyers are buying for the phone more than the iPod.
- Moskie, on 10/10/2007, -1/+8... i'm implying that the only way he would turn that away even if it gave him blowjobs would be if he's a woman. because blowjobs wouldn't do him any good. funny, no?
*sigh* - shortarabguy, on 10/10/2007, -4/+11"Let the speculation begin!"
No. - solistus, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7Has Apple released a product in the last 2 years _not_ worth buying? Bitch about fanboys all you want; you gotta admit, 4G iPods, Core 2 Duo powered laptops and iPhones are cool.
- PixelVision, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7There are times in your life when you need to think to yourself "should I really comment? Will my comment benefit anyone? Will it cause me to become ridiculed?" The exact moment before you hit submit comment was one of those times.
- Moskie, on 10/10/2007, -1/+8Actually, here's an idea:
Could there be tactical feedback in it, but constructed in such a way that made in completely transparent? Is that impossible?
Something along the lines of parts of the screen feeling different, but you can't see it with the naked eye, and the image from the screen would pass through it undistorted... - nicksauce, on 10/10/2007, -2/+8without knowing what it is?
- MacParrot, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6Oh I agree. I think the only thing worse are morons who spend a lot of time crusing stories on digg to put in pithy comments about technology they have no interest in...oh wait
- solistus, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6The iPhone just came out 2 months ago; why would they consider releasing a new one already?
A new line of laptops would almost certainly come around a Macworld Expo. If a sub-notebook is in the works, it'll probably be January, but I doubt it. I expect a Macbook Pro update and maybe one for the Macbook as well come MWSF.
Leopard won't ship till later this year. They've all but said "around October." There's pretty much 0 chance of a release now when it's not even being distributed as a beta yet. They're still months from RC1, probably.
Expect to see an iPod update and probably another minor update or two. If we're lucky, the iPod will pick up the iPhone interface and run OSX. An iPod running OSX would be just about the greatest thine ever, especially if they give it wifi. - TenebrousX, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5they held a press event to announce new speakers, so I wouldn't be too surprised.
- drouk1556, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5Listen, this whole "fanboy" mentality is completely worthless. Even if you don't like Apple's products, look at it from a financial perspective. Every time Apple holds a conference, their stock (AAPL) goes through the roof.
Stop complaining about Apple and invest. Maybe you can make back whatever you spend on that new iPod. - inactive, on 10/10/2007, -5/+10seems pretty likly to me
- ch4os1337, on 10/10/2007, -2/+7how the ***** did that make any sense?
- Dylson, on 10/10/2007, -1/+6Internet fights are pointless.
- Nobiting, on 10/10/2007, -4/+9That was a BEAStie boys album not beatles
