Bugs & Fixes: Messy App Store update tracking

newxwin.net — Sometimes, a situation is so fouled up that there is no polite way to describe it. Such is the situation with the tracking of iPhone App Store updates. The system is inaccurate, inconsistent, and utterly confusing. And that’s when it is working at all.

  • ProjectGSX, on 09/05/2008, -0/+4I have the same sort of problem. The other day iTunes listed 2 updates available. When I clicked the link to install the updates, it then says all of my apps are up to date. Durr.

    Anyways, I dont complain too much because of all the customization Ive done to the phone.. I easily could have caused the problem myself, who knows.

    When I try to update or buy an app it says its put them in my shopping basket. The is nothing in my shopping basket! or if there is an App Store shopping basket WHERE is it!?!
  • Anarkast, on 09/06/2008, -0/+1Different Accounts or removing apps from the program folder (if you don't, you can end up with a huge folder...) Sometimes apps change their names making this difficult...
