Taking the shotgun approach to commenting huh? If you leave 4 comments, atleast 1 of them is bound to get dugg right? ;) - Greyarea, on 10/12/2007, -2/+131"No, I said I wanted a small SQL, not a small...never mind."
- simplenation, on 10/12/2007, -67/+181leave this little critter in your lap and eventually it will find some "nuts" to chew on
- LordSkywalker, on 10/12/2007, -0/+96I'm calling it as Apple viral marketing. Trying to stir up the chipmunk demographic.
- stalefries, on 10/12/2007, -7/+90I love me cute chipmunk/squirrel action as much as the next guy, but shouldn't this be in the videos section?
- andycr512, on 10/12/2007, -6/+88"unfortunately it's more like Russian roulette for me :("
Yeah, with a bullet in every chamber. - Onikun, on 10/12/2007, -30/+109yeah looks like a chipmunk, i guess mac users can't tell the difference.
- M4tt3r, on 10/12/2007, -4/+74Is that Chip or Dale?
- okokitsme, on 10/12/2007, -2/+66...and find tons of images of chipmunks ;-)
- sorrow, on 10/12/2007, -2/+54Yeah, chipmunks have stripes, squirrels don't.
Thing must have been either rabid or tame to just sit there while he lifts the mac up though.. something wasn't right about that if you ask me -- not to mention zooming in etc - nickerbocker, on 10/12/2007, -6/+54Someone is bound to say these so I'll say it for them:
"Buried as inaccurate. That's a chipmunk not a squirrel. What a dumb ass."
"But will it blend."
"In communist Russia..."
and...
"See, even 'squirrels' prefer Apple." - anagoge, on 10/12/2007, -3/+47"Dude, put that ***** macbook back on me, I'm freezing my nuts off here!"
- flap, on 10/12/2007, -1/+42Um soo....why does this guy have a chipmunk in his living room underneath his laptop.
Just curious... - moosepile, on 10/12/2007, -1/+38Dugg, but yeah, that looks like a chipmunk.
- merkul, on 10/12/2007, -6/+43I wonder if any chipmunks tried this with a Dell (back in the battery exploding days).
Chipmunk: Mmmmm warm laptop.
*A few minutes pass*
Chipmunk: OMGZZ!!!oneonene I'm on fire ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
//oops looks like simplenation beat me to this by a minute or so... - Hermitwise, on 10/12/2007, -0/+35@ sorrow, I had a baby sugarglider ( I was young and didn't know the evils of the exotic pet trade) once and it would have reacted the same way, if you get them really young they'll be completely attached to you, then again sugargliders are marsupials so perhaps their psychologies differ.Yet both are fuzzy and cute
- Ystig, on 10/12/2007, -0/+34Evaluating SquirrelMail on its functionality as a PHP webmail client, and simultaneously considering the featureset of this particular Squirrel Male with respect to cuteness and cuddliness output, I have to say that I think the chosen product was the favourable one, in this case, even be it a chipmunk in point of fact.
- avatarpalin, on 10/12/2007, -7/+34Pfffft squirrel fanboy!!.... didn't even consider warming up next to a Dell!!!
- brickbat, on 10/12/2007, -3/+29I'm gonna complain to Apple. I never got a chipmunk with my macbook. APPLE GET OFF YOUR ASSES! WHERE IS MY ***** CHIPMUNK!
- bob12321, on 10/12/2007, -1/+26Well heat doesn't rise, heat radiates.
Hot air rises up as it becomes less dense then the cooler air. - picto, on 10/12/2007, -5/+28dugg because I want a pet squirrel I can feed peanuts and cheetos whilst it sits atop my shoulder.
- Flarup, on 10/12/2007, -1/+22Adorable. The Squirrel too.
- yacks, on 10/12/2007, -5/+26Squirrels can have stripes.... don't be confused by the squirrels you mostly see around..
just do a search for "striped squirrels" on images.google.com :) - shibainu, on 10/12/2007, -1/+21rabies!
- Flarup, on 10/12/2007, -3/+22obviously you haven't used an hour in bed, doing homework on your macbook. It does get quite warm underneath. Ball warming comfy.
- hukedonfonix, on 10/12/2007, -0/+17Well, learn new something every day...
- Koray, on 10/12/2007, -13/+30Anyone else think about the small amounts of radiation being pumped directly into this squirrel?
- contradictator, on 10/12/2007, -1/+17Soon, that little critter will discover it's newfound powers and begin it's terrible crimewave as Electro!
- ProximaC, on 10/12/2007, -4/+19"If you think that is cute, you'll die when you see my new kitten sleeping on my MacBook Pro:"
I'm still alive. Dugg down for inaccuracy. - idonthack, on 10/12/2007, -3/+17No way. It wasn't singing
- Y0tsuya, on 10/12/2007, -2/+16@hukedonfonix
Most electronic devices radiate to a certain degree. That's why they need FCC certification. - Joeytg, on 10/12/2007, -1/+14To those of you that want a pet Squirrel. It can be done but they are extremely hard to raise. We live in a heavily wooded area and have found two of them lying on the ground under their trees. Their litter mates will push them out or they just pull a bonehead and fall out themselves. Anyway they were mostly hairless at the point we found them. I made a little wire cage to protect them from our cats and dogs. The first one died not too long after he was found. I think it had some internal injuries from the fall but who knows. The second one lasted for several weeks and would burrow into your cloths which was pretty cool. He got sick on me and died while I was holding him in my lap. I tried antibiotics but it just wasn't to be. They also do not do well on bovine milk so we obtained goat milk which is better for it from what I read. So if you walk the woods in the spring and summer and hear a squeak that sounds like a bird, look around because it is probably a baby squirrel on the ground. Also my dad said he had one when he was a kid and they can and do bite even if tame. He had one bite his brother through a leather glove and through his thumbnail into his thumb. That had to hurt.
- Gir53457, on 10/12/2007, -1/+14I have a Squirrel who does that. And by Squirrel I mean iguana. And by sitting on my shoulders eating cheerios I mean just sitting there starring. Always Starring. Ever silent... Plotting...
- emanl, on 10/12/2007, -1/+14If you think that is cute, you'll die when you see my new kitten sleeping on my MacBook Pro:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/ericmanley/377854446/ - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+13You only get the free chipmunk when paying with 6 or more Apple gift cards.
Sorries. - elnerdo, on 10/12/2007, -1/+13They'll need to try harder if they want to take the lead from the PSP in that market.
- gstuartj, on 10/12/2007, -1/+13I'm not promoting iCrap. I'm promoting warm baby chipmunks.
- ozziegt, on 10/12/2007, -0/+11@sorrow, he said in the comments that it is a 5 week old baby that was orphaned, and he is taking care of it. Apparently this is in India.
- Gupfee, on 10/12/2007, -1/+12Indian squirrels have stripes. It's a squirrel.

When did Apple start manufacturing batteries...? - ChuyMatt, on 10/12/2007, -1/+11iChipmunk!
what an awesome apple accessory. Installing the glowing apple logo has proven difficult, if mortally wounding. All the bugs will be worked out by june. - bluetytanium, on 10/12/2007, -0/+10You appear to be smiling. Perhaps you used the incorrect bracket.
