"Highly unreliable analyst Rob Enderle predicts Leopard at MacWorld" - autoy, on 10/12/2007, -5/+26If Vista and Leopard are to be released at the same time it will be the mother of all fanboi flamewars.
- Ireland, on 10/12/2007, -3/+19I hope the guy who wrote this article is right, as Apple like to surprise, but he's just guessing.
- colincornaby, on 10/12/2007, -0/+15This is Rob Enderle. My potted cactus is more accurate at predicting Apple stuff than him.
- TheSalmonThief, on 10/12/2007, -13/+24Those always suck, though, because the Windows fanmen are always wrong.
- mrheliums, on 10/12/2007, -4/+14Oh God, Rob Enderle is still being paid to write.
- elShaggy, on 10/12/2007, -1/+10Leopard will release post-Vista, who wants another Vista delay if Leopard is released, just so MS can add all the cool Leopard features into Vista.
- StatusQuoRules, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9the sooner i can buy my new core 2 duo macbook with leopard, the better
- Zippo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8The sooner I can buy a new Macbook Pro with Leopard, the better...
- Dotcommer, on 10/12/2007, -5/+12dugg down because you are stupid.
~Dot - rickcarson, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7No, what really sucks is having to debate the merits of your currently existing, stable and secure system, against a vapourware list of sci-fi features that is still 2-3 years away from release, and being reduced on an almost daily basis.
It has gotten to the point where even I wish that Microsoft could just release the software, and I now cringe and feel bad when I read about the latest stuff up (this week it was the bug that delayed them a month or so).
It is like driving by a road crash, at first you rubber neck, then you wonder if it is anyone you know, then you feel sorry for the poor bastards when the ambulance shows up, and hope that they will be okay.
Windows users... our prayers are with you. - kyleh, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7the sooner i can buy my new core 2 duo macbook , the better
- threepio, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7You know, I've never had Front Row lock up on me.

It's not that it's overly annoying. I mean I'm retiring this thing; I'm getting sick of being in the middle of something only to ha-
I WISH it were hyperbole. - iamcool, on 10/12/2007, -3/+8Releases are all speculation, with the rare exception of the iTV with a quarter based release date. For those that wonder why apple has such a loyal user base, consider this. Apple delievers.
- brutalentropy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5So... what does your cactus think of the iPhone?
;) - iamcool, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Dugg down? Why, because I said apple delivers?
For those who use MS Windows. Go right ahead. Keep using windows. If you enjoy blue screens, defraging your HD, among a myriad of other inconsistencies. Sorry if you found my "Apple Delivers" offensive but hey, they were a light after years of painful computing. - quickjack, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6the sooner i can buy my new Mac Pro 2 x core 2 quadro with leopard, the better.

- n3il89, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4"It looks like this puppy is nearly ready if I'm reading the signs right"
I'm sorry. You expect me to give credence to what you're saying because you are "reading the signs right." C'mon what's your real name? Miss Cleo? Aren't those "signs" really just tarot cards? - dtkelly, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5the sooner i can afford to buy lunch, the better.
- Kazrog, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4I think Steve Jobs needs to spice up the announcement by saying "That's right, bitches!"
- StatusQuoRules, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Shagadelic baby!
- imyayo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Yes, I can see it now..
Introducing Mac OS XI - Codenamed 'Pussy' - "All the enjoyment, no added smell." - goodcompany, on 10/12/2007, -3/+6speculation
- rickcarson, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4And here you have the reason why Mac users can sometimes be hostile towards Windows users.
It is like someone leaving an abusive relationship. You'd think they would be trying to help rescue other people from their abusive relationships too.
But when the people who are still in those abusive relationships keep telling you you should go back into that kind of relationship again... well... you can lose your sympathy for the Windows users.
------
On the other hand, I think for some people it is like when they go on a diet and lose a lot of weight. Good for them for doing that, but why turn around and bash the people who are still overweight? That is just obnoxious.
------
Problem is, it is hard to tell the difference between these two scenarios. - rogersmj, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3This is ridiculous. An Apple exec just said two weeks ago that they are on track for a spring release. Now, Apple does like to hide its plans, but I doubt they would outright lie. This guy who's writing this article knows nothing.
- shodson, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Bury this, this guy is creating rumors based on other rumors just to drive up his traffic because he knows anything provocatively stated, true or not, re: the Mac gets prime time on Digg.
- gailwin, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2they're not releasing leopard until vista is released
is what i've been hearing - tadunne, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2We'll probably see the "secret features" at macworld but I doubt leopard will be ready by then. Developers will need time to make sure that their apps will work with these new "special features"as I'm sure some a the new features will make changed to the GUI.
So until these are announced, leopard will still be waiting to pounce! - wschamps04, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1One would think that if Apple says that they will release Leopard in early 2007, they will release Leopard in early 2007.
- AnthonyJr, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2hopefully, i'll cross my fingers.
- iAlex, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1It is not sure that they will, but they might, so please choose better topics.
- nfph, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Eventually, isn't Apple going to run out of cat names? What's next, Serval?
- mrl14, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Complete BS. haha. Before you confirm such a 'rumour' wait until Leopard hits FC status or something.
- easy4lif, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1it really isn't monday till u see the mac rumors start to pop up
- kimos, on 10/12/2007, -3/+4"I'm seeing it appears very likely" does not mean "Apple to announce Leopard".
Speculation. Buried as so... - nerd05, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Exactly. If Apple does release Leopard at MacWorld, it's going to be pretty buggy (a la iTunes 7, only worse).
Now, it would be really funny if they managed to get yet another operating system release before Microsoft finally got around to it, but it's just not necessary. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Who gives a crap ? MSFT just signed a deal with Linux making Apple even more irrelevant.
- yllabianbitpipe, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1If this happens I'd love to be a fly on the wall and hear what Gates and Ballmer's reaction.
- jrbrewin, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2" Microsoft's Media Center isn't fully cooked, even with Vista, something that Intel actually created Viiv to fix"
- first off. iTV isn't out yet, so speculating on it is pointless..
- secondly xp media center edition was not a half baked item. It worked, and it works well for millions of users, and it worked years before apple even thought of the idea. It allows people to record and stream HD content to numerous devices at the same time, away from the pc, and nullifies the need to have a pc next to the tv for people with those devices.
Intel's viiv was not a 'fix' for MCE.. it was intel's interpretation of a media center, in much the same way iTV is apples interpretation. - timrosenberg, on 10/22/2009, -0/+1OS X "Pussy": The new tongue driven OS!
- mrStarbuck, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Mac OS X Pussy - It looks so good you'll want to lick it...
They designed the aqua interface to look so good that you'd want to lick it so maybe it isn't that far-fetched?
Sorry folks, I couldn't resist :)
But a comment regarding the original post would be that I doubt that this guy actually knows what he's talking about. I belive he's just guessing... - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1When does ZEBRA come out ? That`s what i`m holding out for !
- Ramble, on 10/12/2007, -4/+4Not fully cooked?
It's bloody far better than Frontrow. - Deuterium, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Here's to hoping Apple comes out with iTunes offering HD content when iTV rolls out. The current stuff looks like CRAP on a 1080p HDTV. It sure isn't worth the penny they are asking for now.
- leatherscot, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Lets face it - This is a critical period for OS's!!
Lets remember
A low percentage of users will upgrade until they buy a new computer. Mostly - it will only be techies that jump at an OS upgrade. What do our homes need - good Media Centers - with iTV, Sexy new hardware at good prices - Intel Switch, iPod Success, iTunes Store etc etc
The signs are there for Steve's third comming!
If there is any justice - the end of Microsoft Windows as the dominant HOME OS are there - mrgoat, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Rob is a big *****. Fact.
- etandrib, on 10/12/2007, -4/+2"...Apple, along with Intel, will be launching Apple's version of the Media Center with iTV and Leopard. That's right -- Leopard. It looks like this puppy is nearly ready if I'm reading the signs right -- and Apple is clearly setting up for something big."
This is confirmation? He probably read the signs on Digg since this rumor comes up on the frontpage every other day. Buried! - StarDal, on 10/12/2007, -9/+2[post deleted by author]
- dancpsu, on 10/12/2007, -12/+3The iTV would make more sense if it was an high-definition DVR as well as a television media player.
We don't want to buy this for the priviledge of paying $2 per show to watch TV. -
