- coolbru, on 10/12/2007, -0/+25> It's an obvious photoshop enlarge and look on the right
No *****? When the article describes it as an artists rendition, that shouldn't come as a surprise... - jrapp, on 10/12/2007, -7/+31My next door neighbor's best friend's uncle's daughter's cousin (twice removed)'s sister-in-law said she talked to Steve Jobs, and this is indeed the real deal!! Oh, the joy!
- llamafest, on 10/12/2007, -1/+24I'm...Ron Burgandy?
- 12340987, on 10/12/2007, -0/+13"artists conception"
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+11Are you high ?
- ahdustin, on 10/12/2007, -6/+16At least put the question mark on the end. Misleading title, reported as inacurate.
- ElectroFunk, on 10/12/2007, -1/+11hmmm... this apparently comes from a reliable source... but ill still believe it when i see it...
- Tanbo, on 10/12/2007, -3/+9Looks nice. I figured they would go for the slider functionality. Makes sense.
- Terc, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Happy now?
http://img247.imageshack.us/img247/4999/happynowvh0.png - solarisom, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4I think the click wheel sliding down to reveal a dial pad is a bit to clunky for the Apple aesthetic. And I know it's an artist rendition, but given the widespread complaints about the 1G Nano surfaces scratching, I don't see them using it. Interesting, but this article's all about if's.
- MajikalMan, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6Stop with the iPhone already!
- zenghost, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6i hope thats a touch screen im looking at there... :)
- borninda818, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4if we build it, nerds will come
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -4/+6For cryin' out loud.
It's microsoft fanboy and apple zealot. - satansbanjo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I hope he is, or natural selection just isn't working anymore
- thejadedmonkey, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3No, it's "If you build it, nerds will come"
- Qoogirl, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2It's an elongated iPod nano. I guess they (rumor-mongering artists) cannot mess with perfection?? Anyway, I hope by Q2 2007 Apple has at least genuinely considered some sort of phone, VoIP...something. Anything. Especially if it reminds me of the original iPod nano in all its glory.
- TheCheeta, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I think he understands it is an artist's rendering... his comment was that it wasn't that GREAT of a rendering.
- keikun, on 10/12/2007, -4/+6at least the rendition looks good
- zetsurin, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Until I see steve jobs holding one in a photo i am marking everything else as innacurate.
- joecritch, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3It reminds me of the "wind-up" phone of the 1920's, except using a click wheel. Now, that would be retro.
- gavroche, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2not if you pay for them ;)
- knowall, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2read the article
- Terc, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I suggest you start reading articles buddy. Picture books are for first grade.
- JimV, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2I imagine that it will look like one of those old school/land line football phones...only the base will be a giant apple and the mouthpiece will look like slice of apple that you pull out of the base.
Yeah! - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Two tin cans and a string ?
- dtreese, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1If they were to put something like this out, the thing that would really drive sales: replaceable batteries.
- Terc, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1CLEARLY, you didn't read the article. This is an artists rendition
- bobcrotch, on 10/12/2007, -3/+4Hey look another Macrumor's article that gathers it's guts from a "Reliable Source"
- betobeto, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Or explodes.
- icepick314, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Apple REALLY need to make a widescreen iPod for their video services...
then they can lock on portable media player market....only bad thing is that you have to re-encode all those videos you download... - jayboogie, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Looks nice if it was true
- AceTracer, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3I'm marking your word as lame.
- neom, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1That looks like the most un-ergonomic phone ever...
..and I'm an apple fanboy. Good thing apple wouldn't create something like that! - Boondoggle, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1How can you mark a rumor as inaccurate? You've got better info? Lets hear it.
- knowall, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Actually, MacRumors.com doesn't generally post from their own sources. they are more of a rumor aggregator. When they do post from their sources, it's been accurate. If you don't believe me, find the last article they posted from their sources. It's been a while
- betobeto, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Indeed. Someone please tell me why should Apple have a so vested interest on something like a phone, seeing how the ROKR bombed and all.
Lame. That's all. - OGla, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1The iPhone will be combo of software and hardware. Think Skype/iChat with hardware as an extension. Not a do-it-all device.
- kbaird, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1With the click wheel, it can be a rotary phone. :)
- TheCheeta, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Sorry, it would only be cool if he could use the Optimus keyboard (the full-size, not the slot machine).
- HauntedMac, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I am so sick of hearing about the iPhone
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2You guys gotta understand the mac rumor lingo. Reliable source=Jittery Apple fanboy with too much time on their hands.
Artist Rendition=Stretched iPod.
I can't think of any time where an Apple rumor was right. - fuxjoey, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Have seen these kind of rumors too many times.
- Vindstille, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Some people have to learn that rumors are rumors.
- gekkotron, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0+1 digg for getting all that vaporware in one sentence. Would have been +10 if you were doing all that in your flying car!
- nonsapiens, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0....said by a man using internet, and thus, e-mail
- Taggy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Try this story instead: http://www.reghardware.co.uk/2006/09/14/apple_iphone_at_large/
It has a published (in print) photo of the supposed iPhone.
Then again, it is french... - mntbikeracer1, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Did anyone read it? It is a slider the click wheel has nothing to do with dialing.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1LOL This is a joke! Marked as inaccurate.
- swindmill, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1A clickwheel at the bottom of the phone would make it hard to hold on to while using. Also, I really doubt that Apple would make a phone that scratches as easy as an ipod. I'd hope the real thing would resemble the new nano, but larger
