- chris9902, on 10/12/2007, -0/+14whatever they pay that guy it's not enough.
- yowhatsupdog, on 10/12/2007, -0/+12Direct link to the slide-show of his designs:

- RadiantBeing, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Wow, there really is quite a strong Dieter Rams influence. Check it out:

- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5I am in love with this man.
- nayr, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4A great article about the guy behind apple's look...
Off topic, I'm sad to see that people aren't checking the titles before submtting... - BWhaler, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Ives really is the man.
Normally I hate puff pieces, but this one is well deserved. - suppazone, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4" And, barring any new breakthroughs on Sept. 12, Apple's current visual vibe -- white boxes -- is now five years old and getting predictable."
yeah and Dull boxes are not predictable? We all now they are gonna look like crap. At least we know that what we get from Apple is gonna look cool. - hoppdawg, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Imagine if American car companies treated design as well as Apple did. It would be amazing and you wouldn't be hearing about layoffs in the news.
- hobbla, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2The only design of his I dislike so far is the HiFi. It doesn't mix with any iPod at all, it's just too big, something that the iPod is not. Other than that, his ideas are gold.
- cying, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Here is a photo I took of him from MacWorld this year... talking on a cell phone.

(no not an iPhone) - gpan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2The slide show page for the Apple Newton says:
The Newton software became known for being far ahead of its timeāand for disastrously mediocre voice-recognition software.
Since when did Newton have voice-recognition software?? - fatnutz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Cool *****. more than worthy of my big digg...
- Ireland, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1That's not an Apple Remote.
Great line-up though. I have an interest in design, and I think he's one of the best. He's like what Frank Lloyd Wright could have been, if his stuff didn't fall down.
(love falling water though) - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1How nice it must be to have all kinds of prototyping machines in your studio.
I guess I should build my mods in terms of production and costs instead of looks and badass-edness - vitaboy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Very careless, but obviously a Freudian slip....the writer almost certainly meant handwriting-recognition.
- nd_miller, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1You're creeping me out.
- torpedobird, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1If only more individuals would realize the genius of not just this man, but also many other industrial designers out there. I don't mean to say it is an undervalued profession, but the awareness given to good design in apple would be nice to see in so many other projects. Jonathan deserves every bit of praise he has gotten, but so do so many others.
- cying, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0nd_miller: creeped out?
He was hanging out outside when we walked past and was nice enough to pose for a photo. - macedes, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0without him apple is nothing !
- suppazone, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1@ haochi
ah I see - crappy way of writing it. - muleking, on 10/12/2007, -11/+10my macbook is magic. You can fry and egg on it while browsing the net
- willzzz, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0This article shows the true passion of Apple in its design process unlike any other computer company which put out boxes which are functional but without the complete elegance and attention to detail that Apple uses. Unfortunatly with this elegance and great design comes a price, and that price is a bit expensive atm for students like me. :(
- suppazone, on 10/12/2007, -5/+3why is this article dated SEPTEMBER 25, 2006 ?
- Twasi, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1I wouldn't want to buy a car from apples design team. I despise their dull designs. It's not interesting or elegant at all, and it's as predictable as web 2.0 logos with reflections. If I had to drive a dull curved white car with no detail, then I would take the bus.
- HonoredMule, on 10/12/2007, -5/+2If uWii on it you void the warranty. And you make it stinky.
- rysolag, on 10/12/2007, -5/+1sounds like irie.
- cmiller1, on 10/12/2007, -5/+1Apple + Nintendo = iWii
- kingfoot, on 10/12/2007, -7/+1fry and egg on it? lol
- d2nd, on 10/12/2007, -9/+1all great designs? the iMac G3 has always looked foolish
