- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -3/+7No doubt this article is about to flooded with comments from the Mac fanboys telling us all how $99 isn't such a bad price for indivuality and Apple's legendary build quality, and how if it was Microsoft, it'd be $149, made of vinyl, and everyone would love it.
When are people going to realise that Microsoft - cash reserves = Apple? - Pliep, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Oh no not again!
For people with a ship in St. Tropez, drinking champagne all day, wearing designer clothes and driving Aston Martin cars, the Apple leather case is perfectly fine and not expensive.
Not everyone is a spotty student nerd who cannot afford anything, and Apple knows that. - moisie, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Personally, I've not seen it in person so I can't comment on if it's worth $99 or not. However, I do feel that a lot of negative feedback has been levelled against it just because it is $99. There are plenty of cases that cost that and plenty that cost a great deal more, if you feel that a particular case is good and can afford and want to pay that much for it then fine, but to moan at something just because it has a high price tag is stupid. Of course if it is generally low quality and not remotely worth that sort of price tag then fair enough.
- birch25, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2i love apple...but the leather case is waaaay overpriced.
- Godric, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Apple, what happened to "Don't fake the funk"?
You've changed, man. - whenders0n, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1note that this is not in all stores. the apple store australia, at least, still has a review section (and one 5 star review). anyone have an old screen capture or web archive of the comments so we can flood the australian store with accurate comments? heh..
- trukadero, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0The customer reviews are only allowed to be about actual use of the product. Since the cases just started shipping this isn't possible. Apple doesn't edit the reviews but they won't post them if they have nothing to do with the use of the product.
- geoboy, on 10/12/2007, -3/+3I know I shouldn't reply to a troll, but death from overdosing on LSD is extremely rare. You may be more likely to accidentally kill yourself while on a trip, but lethal dose = no.
