You could just sync you phone with your computers address book, and maybe add a signature of your voice in there.
then you can just say the name of the friends you wanna call, and if you just met someone you could just get them to beam you. Then say their name in the mic.
You'd just have to hold the button down, and it Steve J would talk to you and say "Please say name" and then it would dial that number out for you.
