- niviche, on 10/10/2007, -3/+29Announcing OS X 10.6 "Lolcat"
(this typed on a Macbook) - heatmizuh, on 10/10/2007, -9/+35Wow. Amazing. It's almost time for the 957th MAJOR! MAJOR! MAJOR! Apple Announcement of 2007.
- Chewie67, on 10/10/2007, -0/+18You know, I'm an Apple fan -- not fanboy -- but fan.
That said, this article is Crap. "Apple said they would release Leopard in October. It's October!" Wow. Some hard-hitting reporting going on there! How did you ever think up such an imaginative story???
Tell us when Apple makes an actual announcement. Until then, no one cares what your GUESS is for a release date. It's October 4th. Assume they launch on a Tuesday or a Friday, and you've got a 1 in 8 chance of picking the right date. Ooooooh. Great job, Kreskin! - edcrosay, on 10/10/2007, -0/+16You sir obviously have no idea how Apple works. They like their surprise announcements, probably a little too much.
- danwalters, on 10/12/2007, -7/+22You know it.. Been waiting months for Leopard to come out, just so I can buy an iMac with it pre-installed!
- TheIguana, on 10/10/2007, -3/+17You know I would love to hear that they had given up on their stupid little game of cat and mouse over 3rd party dev. But thats just me.
- KevenM, on 10/10/2007, -8/+22The iPhone is dropping to $199 and doubling in capacity.
- tizz66, on 10/10/2007, -2/+15Wow I hope it's a widescreen mobile phone type thing that's a tablet and laptop and also an iPod that rents movies and games!
This is clearly for Leopard, it's pointless even speculating about other products. - John370, on 10/10/2007, -0/+12An iMac video card upgrade and matte screen option would be nice...
- MrMetal, on 10/10/2007, -2/+12So, I think it's pretty obvious that this is going to be the announcement of the new version of OS X. But what are the chances of other products being announced as well? New MacBooks? Mac tablets? New iPhone/iPod touch with larger storage? Just curious what you guys think.
- crackedplastic, on 10/10/2007, -0/+9So that more early adopters can complain? I seriously doubt we'll see any significant changes for the iPhone for a few months just yet ....
- GraemeNorway, on 10/10/2007, -5/+12I'm hoping they release Aperture 2.0 along with (or soon after) Leopard!
- fowleryo, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7it's funny, but at their ad agency, they do work in a fortified complex, completely separate from everyone else.
- HerrEisenheim, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7Well, they have to have a "one more thing". Probably just be new cinema displays or new aluminum MacBooks. Plastic is so 3-months ago.
- tnoy, on 10/10/2007, -1/+7Leopard + refreshed Mac Pro.
- jasonh1234, on 10/10/2007, -1/+7Because then I'd be an American.
- sequethin, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6well there were rumors about new slimmer laptops... that would be totally sweet... new laptop with new OS... I wish they'd hurry up already I'm anxious
- turpenine, on 10/10/2007, -1/+7I would buy that three times.
- opusaz, on 10/10/2007, -1/+6A $1,000 Mac tower would be nice. Yeah, it's unlikely, but still would be nice.
- daurkin, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5And Elise isn't hot what so ever..... Don't make claims you can't back
- themastersb, on 10/10/2007, -6/+11Coming from a guy with a Windows logo in his display picture.
- MtheoryX, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4Ugh, why?
- tobsterius, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4Totally possible. The PhotoPlus Expo in NYC is at the end of the month. Apple announced 1.0 at the same expo two years ago.
- MtheoryX, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3if you buy close enough to release, they usually give you an upgrade coupon...at least they used to.
- GreenAlien, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3"And one more thing. We've been following Digg and decided to fix everything they've been moaning about. So today we're announcing iPod Touch v2 with 80gb storage, and a 3G iPhone with 3rd-party SDK."
- jasonh1234, on 10/10/2007, -0/+32 in Ontario or something? That hardly counts.
- Darrelc, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4So true: http://www.misterbg.org/AppleProductCycle/
- turpenine, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3lucky microsoft they aren't. Even though the ipod classic is still a better device (smaller screen, same res, wtf ms?)
- MtheoryX, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3You'd be a Canado-American. You might even get more financial aid for that. It's all about diversity, so I'm told.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4I love how this article void of any substance will soon rocket up the top 10 list.
- manitoba98xp, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2There are three in Toronto (why does one city, however big, get 3 out of 4?), and one in Laval (part of Montréal).
- emjaychina, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Submitted by: Infinateloop. No ***** eh, infinate loop of apples baby steps.
http://www.digg.com/users/lnfiniteLoop - wewa, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2I'll be fun watching all the early adopters start flooding macintouch and other sites about how screwed they are with Leopard spots...
- Kelmon, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2I'd just like to say that 26th October is my birthday and Leopard would be a great present. Unfortunately, since I live in Belgium at the moment the chances of me getting my hands on Leopard before November are pretty low.
- lordsandwich, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2With any luck they'll compromise and add a Dashboard-type widget framework.
- Amnesia10, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2They have announced that Leopard will be launched on 26th October, during the middle of the London MaxExpoLive, I will be there looking forward to all the new announcements. Wonderful news.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2i've got something brewing for ten minutes from now.
- GreenAlien, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2One-last-thing possibilities: Wifi iTMS upgrade to support music videos/movies/podcasts. 16gb iPhone. New laptops. New tablet to showcase secret Leopard features.3rd party SDK for iPhone/Touch. Apple branded Velco pads so bricked iPhones can more effectively be used as a door stop.
- jlebrech, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2The "newton" sdk for the iphone.
- employeeno5, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Singingfishy is right! There's no place for joking or sarcasm here! That would be " "bashing" " and many other negative things that we can put quotations around for no stylistic or grammatical "reason" whatsoever. I for one am "sick" of the way that not only "submitters" but whole shows and publications are turning to "humor" to lampoon the major economic, social, and political institutions of our "country". I think is sad that "Jon Stewart" is so highly regarded for bashing "people" who are just "being" politically minded or business minded. DON'T (
- MtheoryX, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Well, super. I was really wondering what you thought. Now I can relax a little.
- dcconz, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2Please no, not new MacBooks as I bought one about 3 weeks ago. I guess though you have to expect that when buying new gadgets.
- MadKennyP, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Phew. You should get a hobby or somethin'.
- peter303, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Tweaking of prices for Christmas sales.
I noticed last year that some mall Apple stores had 5-10% temporary discounts
on Thanksgiving Friday. Temprary discounts are fairly rare there. - Rigbymatt, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1October 28th here!
Main reason I wasn't pissed about it getting pushed back to late October, i get to get it as a present. - Justin6512, on 10/22/2007, -0/+1hopefully one will be in Vancouver soon :)
- capran, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1I know that's what I want.
- cctoronto05, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1whaddd ru tokking bout dude..? bricked MacBooks-never heard of 'em, 'less ur referrin' to bricked iPhones, y'all don't make any sense...
- AugieM2400, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1this just in... apple will hold conference at annual macworld convention...
haha... some of you people crack me up... - DaffyDuck, on 10/10/2007, -2/+3Of course it runs on Macs. You think we're stupid?
