- underburn, on 10/12/2007, -8/+35Wow... you are an idiot.
- synd, on 10/12/2007, -4/+27"Apple computers are ugly and they suck!"
Yet, the only two stories he has dugg are pro-Apple stories.
Dumbass. - iThought, on 10/12/2007, -5/+18AppleOSuX, get a life! You honestly spent the time to create a name about an OS you think sucks, then decided to patrol digg for every mac story and state that opinion? Nice dude.
- Ireland, on 10/12/2007, -8/+20AppleOSux = No stroies submitted
AppleOSux = No brain - Dog_Paddle, on 10/12/2007, -11/+18What the ***** is wrong with you. All you do is go onto every single Apple story and say something detrimentary towards them. Go eat some chicken or something.
- silenceHR, on 10/12/2007, -2/+9badly written one, if i may add ;)
- boredzo, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8Too bad. I was looking forward to the MacMac Pro.
- Ireland, on 10/12/2007, -10/+16I already did! Becuase I had a feeling some ignorant person like you would come along say it, so you now owe me money for saying it :P
"Wow... you are an idiot" More like: Wow you are an amazing idiot! - Dog_Paddle, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7Hahaha
He's oviously a bot. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4
im sorry but it really pisses me off when people go out their way to talk ***** on a subject they might not like, dont bloody comment, - CedanticPunt, on 10/12/2007, -5/+9I thought I'd already blocked you so I didn't have to read your infantile drivel. Oh wait, you changed your username. Oh well, +block again.
- BigHungryJoe, on 10/12/2007, -6/+10You definitely should trademark "AppleOSuX", because that is just pure genius!!!
/sarcasm - KillerX, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Just a mindless Microsoft Windows Butt Monkey Lemming Fan Dork, who can't think for it's dumb ass self.
- sfgeek, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3My guess is he's a mac fanboy himself and just loves getting us riled up. I don't know any PC users personally that are dumb enough to just say "Macs suck." Most people are well informed enough to be aware of the superiority of many of the mac's features. Hell, the only features to make into Vista are poor implementations of features OS X has had for years. Microsofties tout the word 'innovation' but they aren't innovating at all unless it comes to things like monitor systems that degrade if the monitor isn't secure. It's absurd.
- golddigga, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2mac pro is the worst name you could give the "PowerMac"
- Greyarea, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2@kenz0r: Actually, the more I think about it the more I think that 'InTower' sounds like an antiperspirant for men.
"New Lynx 'InTower'! For guys that work...in towers!"
Ok, I need a holiday... - po6ot, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3It would really be a horrible inconsistency if the towers weren't called Mac Pros.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2maybe he uses linux?
- kenz0r, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Hhaha, you totally do need a vacation man. I couldnt think of that if I tried. But my Conroe sounds like a deodorant. "ALL NEW CONROE AND CONROE SPORT, FOR MEN WHO WORK HARD, AND PLAY HARD"
- kenz0r, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4@greyarea
Yes, however, MANY MANY people refer to Apple's towers as "G5" and "G4" and "G3". So im just wondering if people will call them "3.0 GHz Intel Conroes"
though just "the Conroe" would be cool - Greyarea, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2@kenz0r: I think that 'InTower' has a certain ring to it.
Not necessarily a *good* ring, but a ring nonetheless. - kenz0r, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Ha, yeah. But doesnt "inTower" sound kind of '90's to you?
- Greyarea, on 10/12/2007, -3/+4Well I still think of the Mac Book Pros as 'PowerBooks', simply because it's easier to say. The fact that they haven't got a PowerPC in them any more is irrelevant. I just think of them as the notebooks for Power Users. On the other hand I rarely think of my G4 Tower as a 'PowerMac'. I just think of it as 'the Tower'.
Um. What was the question again? - crossthread, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2That wouldn't make much sense, since "Mac" is already in the name of the product.
- cmiller1, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3what gullop? tell him how much of an asshat he is? does he enjoy knowing that which he types is thought of as textual diarrhea by everyone else?
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I was just wondering about this last night. I was hoping that Apple would trademark this , but I wasnt able to find an article about their efforts.
Thanks for posting this and getting it to the front page, guys. Now I can relax. - xenolon, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Perhaps there may be a problem with BootCamp. However, the G5 doesn't support BootCamp at all. It's not an Intel processor. The Mac Pro, which the new Towers wlll ostensibly be called, may not support 16GB of RAM, rendering the issue null. Let's not forget that the kind of people likely to build a G5 with 16GB of RAM are probably professionals using that machine for a single purpose (video editing, rendering, etc.) and are probably not concerned with booting into windows.
There's also the possiblity that the version of BootCamp included with OS 10.5 will support a lot more. - macfanboi, on 10/12/2007, -3/+4Does this really warrant the front page of Digg?
- Scourge, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2BootCamp doesn't support the G5 period...
- Gullop, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3Yes, hes getting a reaction out of you lot which he obviously wants.
- foolfromhell, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I meant. The IntelMac. The towers with Intels, if you but a Apple Mac Tower with more than 4GB RAM, running Windows XP on it through BootCamp wont support more than 4GB
- crash013, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1MacOSuX you are the best!
- kenz0r, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2I think its going to be hard for people to start referring to the Intel PowerMacs as a PowerMac rather than the more common term "the G5". Though this comment may not be too relevant to this particular story, has anyone else thought of this?
- jojojobbins, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1I thought I heard Intel were bringing out 4 core 64 bit chips later this year (or am I tripping). Could we see a 2 X 4 core Tower (8 cores!)
- chad78, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Here I thought they were going to call the Intel Towers "Big Macs" ... Guess I was wrong.
- mpancha, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1why was this guy modded down? I'm a mac/windows fan, and I think this was obvious when the mac book pro came out... hence, it was somewhat of a lame find. Not to mention its a duplicate, just the others didn't make it to the front page b/c the OP didn't bother reading the screen when he entered his story.
How is all of that not lame? - kenz0r, on 10/12/2007, -6/+5Yes, because that is called slander.
- drewcurtis, on 10/12/2007, -5/+4i don't get why this is getting dugg. seriously, trademark registrations are a dime-a-dozen...
- Composer, on 10/12/2007, -4/+2I couldn't agree more. We have Scientists discovering more about AIDS, Underwater Volcanoes, and Apple declaring their love of 6 letters.
Sheesh. - foolfromhell, on 10/12/2007, -4/+2Wouldnt there be a problem with BootCamp?
The G5 Tower has up to 16GB RAM. I am sure some people ordered a 16GB RAM G5 Tower. Trying to load Windows Home or Windows Proffesional on that, that is the 32-bit version, wont support all that RAM... They will need Vista or 64-bit Windows.. and right now BootCamp doesnt support that... - Gullop, on 10/12/2007, -11/+8wow, I NEVER saw that coming, not in a million years.
Lame story. - Greyarea, on 10/12/2007, -6/+3Anyone care to bet that 'Mac Pro' will be the name given to the Intel Towers?
[reads article after posting] Arse. That'll teach me to post before reading.
Does that mean that the iMac will become, simply, the 'Mac' ? - ahhell, on 10/12/2007, -5/+1Not news.
Apple trademarks a Mac....wow how shocking.
Lame. Reported as so. - djhifisi, on 10/12/2007, -23/+8dude stop it. Your'e making the mac fan boys froth. haha
- Gullop, on 10/12/2007, -23/+6hahahaha, you apple fanboys just do exactly what he wants you to do.
- AppleOSuX, on 10/12/2007, -110/+9Do you think it would be hard to trademark the phrase "Apple computers are ugly and they suck!"?
