- damien6669, on 07/15/2008, -4/+46This is Hilarious, how the hell can so many versions of the same story make it to the front page. I am an apple fanboy to the extreme, but the is bloody ridiculous.
- Red1Delta, on 07/15/2008, -1/+30In recent news Steve Jobs is able to afford Canada.

- tinygibbles, on 07/15/2008, -1/+12And this was all done with brick and mortar sales models, not click and order. Damn.
- wellyuk, on 07/15/2008, -1/+11What he lacks in a salary is more than made up for in hand jobs, massages and other bonuses.
- Gioleb, on 07/15/2008, -0/+10But I still don't think he can afford a Rogers plan.

- superkendall, on 07/15/2008, -0/+4Bad news for you, the price will only go up as older models are sold for unlocking and become more rare.

This headline is a number and a preposition different from the article in the Top Ten. - fazik93, on 07/15/2008, -1/+4You're gonna have to buy it on ebay
- btschul, on 07/15/2008, -1/+4Call Guinness
- Pitstopper, on 07/15/2008, -0/+3"Apple counts "sales" as any device it has sold to wireless network operators such as AT&T. The network operators then re-sell the devices to actual end users. According to analysts, only 425,000 end users bought iPhones over the weekend." -

- inactive, on 07/15/2008, -1/+3Still no more iPhones at my local Apple Store. They sold out on Friday. None expected in stock tomorrow, either.

- CountBrass, on 07/15/2008, -0/+2Huh?
Either I am too old, not 'merican enough or this guy is a raving loon.

- Dylson, on 07/15/2008, -0/+2Welcome to digg.
- Vodd9, on 07/15/2008, -0/+2Goddammit people are stupid.
- r3zonance, on 07/15/2008, -0/+2On eBay, in the UK, jailbroken 1.1.4 8GB used iPhone 1st Gens are fetching between £150-225.
- Kanaka, on 07/15/2008, -0/+2Somewhat deceptive. This figure just means Apple shipped out 1 million phones from its factories to vendors and their Apple stores. It doesnt mean 1 million phones have been activated
- batmanz, on 07/15/2008, -0/+2And Digg has told me this four times now. And I never cared in the first place...
- lovecss, on 07/15/2008, -0/+2"Totally original, I swear!"
- waydee, on 07/15/2008, -0/+2Buried as duplicate iphonespam
- wacomwacoff, on 07/15/2008, -0/+2Because it's a group community experience hanging out with your friends all day, and you're part of something historic. The people in line are featured on the news, interviewed for the paper, and have a good time.
- timusca, on 07/15/2008, -0/+2(20 million suckers) / 20 = ?
- FredFredrickson, on 07/15/2008, -0/+2And Apple's stock is down almost 4% now. Whoopdy ***** doo.
- wacomwacoff, on 07/15/2008, -0/+1Actually no. Piece of crap really.
- beesaretasty, on 07/15/2008, -0/+1Apple 3G iPhone Receives One Million Diggs First Weekend
- wacomwacoff, on 07/15/2008, -0/+1Jealous much?
Sure, because who would want a sophisticated multitouch web device / phone that fits in their pocket? - opmike, on 07/15/2008, -0/+1I'm not trying to "sound smart." I was giving my opinion on the current issue of iPhone stories and the complaints they seem to be drawing. Let's all just move along; the hype will die down soon enough (though probably not entirely).
- CountBrass, on 07/15/2008, -0/+1Firstly: how do you know it's numbers shipped? And secondly, given that every has run out it's fair to say that number shipped ~= number sold.
- Crystalemera, on 07/15/2008, -0/+1If you think scraping together $200 for a newly released phone is outrageous, then you haven't been a wireless customer for very long. As I recall the Razr was $600 with a $100 rebate when it was considered the "it" phone.
- rodrigo74, on 07/15/2008, -1/+2That's why even though I love my mac, I don't recommend it to people, not even when they ask me directly: I always tell them to try if they want to, let them play with my macbook so they get a feel of it, ask me technical questions if they want to, but make up their own minds. It is a very personal choice (at least for people that spend more than 20 hours a week using it), like cars and shoes. And people love to blame others than themselves when things go wrong..
Regarding the problems with mice and keyboards, just get another brand, the ones produced by apple suck anyway..it's a hopeless case of form over function and ergonomics.
I do think that Panther was more reliable than Tiger and especially Leopard, though. I hope things improve with Snow Leopard. - CountBrass, on 07/15/2008, -0/+1I agree! It's almost worth following each story to see which ones you get on that page.
Wonder if Digg could bring out some sort of collectable game involving them? Or perhaps some kind of Top Trumps? - inactive, on 07/15/2008, -0/+1I'm talking about the problems I've had in the past (pre-intel switch) and the problems I've had since. I'm talking about my experience. Not only have I had to take my computer in for the first time ever, but all of the people I've told to switch to the Mac are upset with me. So yeah, if nostalgia for me is a period where my Mac performed like my trusty G5 running Panther, then maybe that's what it is. It sure beats the days when I didn't go through 2 Apple keyboards, 4 mighty mouses, 2 notebooks and 3 iPods in the span of a year.
It's like the Obama/McCain thing. I'll still vote Obama, but with all the news that has been coming out the past couple weeks, I won't be entirely as happy about it as I used to be. - Billions, on 07/15/2008, -0/+1Thanks for the mirror to this post, I was mortified when the other 4 Digg submissions' servers went down.
? - Swathe, on 07/15/2008, -3/+420 million suckers.
- CountBrass, on 07/15/2008, -1/+2OSX won that argument when Vista was released.
