Wait.. what? - deadbaby, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Smart move. It's the cover-up/trickle of information that kills you on these things. Just get the info out there, admit your mistakes, and move on.
- Rice, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2iLemon, I think you're wrong. I think Rosetta was highly successful, and pivotal to the successful transition to Intel. Rosetta makes the transition transparent to most people. Also, think about the amazing task that it has: To translate processor architecture specific code from one architecture to another without taking a huge performance hit. In the terms of how programming works, the performance is incredible.
And Osmosis is *****. :P - danisse, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3The outcome of their report has alredy been posted on the front page.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2just.... no
- iLemon, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1I don't think rosetta was very successful. All Adobe applications run significantly slower on a core-dou then a g5. If osmosis exist, they probably have one microsoft product that runs at 92% and everything else at 70%.
- deanlowe, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2Did it say who faked the documents?
- lopla, on 10/12/2007, -5/+2Macworld is announcing "Osmosis" and think of it as Rosetta for win32 apps and games only the performance is about 92% of actual thanks to the Intel CPU. MS is DEAD big time.. Osmosis will be the MS killer. I just can't wait to see all the jaws drop since so many people thought this was impossible to pull off.. Jobs has done it again.
- dashiel, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1total ploy by brokers and fund managers... i mean come on there's something like 160 companies being investigated for this very same issue, including microsoft, yet there's nary a peep about them. apple however makes headlines, sees the stock dip down to $76 days before one of the most heavily anticipated macworlds in a long, long time.
the only thing i'm pissed about is i had an order to buy at $75... i thought it was going to go a tad lower and i missed out. oh well. - Sblader5, on 10/12/2007, -7/+2iWanttoknowwhatitis
- Raian, on 10/12/2007, -13/+6Option #1: ***** investors, buy *another* Jet.
Option #2: Get solid-gold pancreas-- tell everyone it's a rare form of cancer. - AudioDan, on 10/12/2007, -9/+2Wow, not many comments! I lost the game! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Game_(game)
