- mateo60, on 10/12/2007, -1/+19cool. I love people with too much time on their hands.
:) - taotehue, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9I wish I had too much time on my hands!
- FunkyWitDaSysTm, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7an imac IS a powerbook/mbp in a different case, with a faster chip, full-size optical and hdd drives, and the display and power source.
just fyi. - nreynolds, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7I wish I could waste my PowerBook like that.... a kid can dream....
- zenmouse, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7because he could.
- JeremyBanks, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7Being made out of wood, I doubt it would have been very convincing IRL, but that's still really cool. =D
- smtelegadis, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Because he likes the lack of portability found in most desktops, with a diminished performance consistant in their more expensive notebook counter parts. At the same time, costing even more in additional resources, time, and effort. All while still managing to looking poorer then the intended emulation.
- cartwheels, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Am I the only one who absolutely loved the "lampshade" iMacs? I always wanted one of those...
- LaughingMan11, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4The machine looks like it's at least a few years old... probably didn't waste it in any regard.
Reduce, reuse, recycle... I'd say this falls into the reuse category. - nevenmrgan, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Yes, because the above is a childish and annoying crybaby page, while the TiMac looks like a creative and challenging project.
- gaijintendo, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Hate to be overly creepy, but this guy has some really cute female friends.
- lmarburg, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4wow some people get soo bored
- Poon007, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3That is straight Ghetto.

I'd say Wish Granted. - AssProphet, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Yeah it may not be so believable, but when you eject cds they pop up like a toaster! you can't beat that!
- keikun, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4nice job on the mod, but i think a lot of people would rather prefer the mobility aspect of the Powerbook over the design of an iMac
- jonshipman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2It appears to be a broken portable.
- jonshipman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Good luck taking ANY TiBook into an Apple Store. Mod or no mod.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2As much as everyone likes the new design of macs in general, I gotta say they're just wayyy to understated.......So understated that anyone can build a replica such as this in minutes :D
I'm all for building simple and elegant cases but apple needs to take it to the next level, not bring us back a few decades.
Cheers to this guy though for a good job. - zugzug, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I love the crooked hand drawn apple logo on the front. All class.
- thunderer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I love the PM Cube-ish CD slot.
- noeljohnhoward, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1yeah dude its a Tibook
- drivenfaroff, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I currently have a PowerBook that has major video / screen problems that only go away when the screen is unhinged. I was looking to put the computer more into a metal frame and control it remotely for a nice photo / video frame, but the iMac concept is cool.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1applecare?
- theone3, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1[duh]They're all computers.[/duh]
- MacParrot, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Not creepy at all and they are very attractive (you creep! kidding)
- FluffyArmada, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3[insert stupid Styx reference here]
- fatnutz, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Might not be a macbook pro in a different case, but it's still basically a ***** laptop in a different case..
- nevenmrgan, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1I'm guessing the battery is down to a few minutes of use and the dude owns another laptop already, so investing in a TiBook battery would be pointless and less fun.
- drivenfaroff, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Nope. Out of date, and Apple never acknowledged the video scramble problems that this PowerBook is experiencing.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1get an older ibook here and buid you own.

- Goosemaster, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1lol
- jonshipman, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1because apparently his hinges broke it seems. This method IS cheaper than buying new hinges.
- DrakeGTA, on 10/12/2007, -4/+3@ taotehue, it's not all it's cracked up to be...
I've got too much time on my hands and it's ticking away from me...
Is it any wonder I'm not crazy? Is it any wonder I'm sane at all?
Well I'm so tired of losing- I got nothing to do and all day to do it,
I go out cruisin but I've no place to go and all night to get there. - mobilehavoc, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Nice job but why take a portable and makes it desktop??? Like taking a bicycle and make it into an excercise bike in your house.
- Miyazaki, on 10/12/2007, -4/+3Why?
- pankajsharma, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Great Job. Good Luck if you need to repair this in future or take it to an apple store :)
- nevenmrgan, on 10/12/2007, -7/+5Yeah, it's just a PowerBook/MBP in a different case, with a different hardware design, different cooling, an incomparably larger screen, different speaker design, different memory, a different hard drive, and came with a camera and remote before the MBP did.
Other than that, same thing... - daines88, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1It's cute, but I do have to ask why.
- SadPanda, on 10/12/2007, -3/+0Sacrificing the mobility of a machine for absoultly no extra preformance...why?!
Oh well, looks...kind of cool... - nevenmrgan, on 10/12/2007, -5/+0Neat... I hope the way-too-big Apple logo on the front can be changed
- steelmaverick, on 10/12/2007, -9/+4Its just....well...WHY!?
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -25/+0WAHHH!!! This fluff crap makes the front page, and THIS got tanked?
