It was a media fabrication based on comments he made about being involved in the early days of the internet while in the senate. The sad thing is, while Al really was involved in the early days, actually aware of what was going on. And, at the time, GW was by his own admission still drinking. Sad.

LCD displays consume about 1/10th of the power you say they do. The plasma screen to his right will consume twice the power of all three monitors together. Um... town I live in has a natural gas power plant. There is also the option in my area to use wind generated power. (I live in North Texas)
