- digg it
- deathtoartists, on 10/11/2007, -13/+122I'm so jealous!
- kinesis8, on 10/11/2007, -64/+16Alright, his setup is pretty cool but I don't know if I'll be able to excuse him for that retarded looking frog stuck to his wall
- jimT, on 10/11/2007, -4/+154Being on the board of directors of Apple surely provides some ... advantages!
- SNIa, on 10/11/2007, -5/+35That Chair looks comfy!
- aussieNickuss, on 10/11/2007, -3/+136Looks like his desk follows the same "pyramid" policy as mine. If you place something on top and it falls off.......it doesn't belong on the desk.
- PathDaemon, on 10/11/2007, -33/+30His philosophy: when you can't invent the internet, have enough screen real estate to pwn it.
- johnvm, on 10/11/2007, -37/+9The man invented the internet, so obviously he needs 3 30" monitors to do all the web browsing he can on his little invention!
I wonder how many times he's been to goatse, and if he'd claim he invented that too... - tc811, on 10/11/2007, -23/+91If you ask me, he looks super-serial about his work.
- HarryHunt, on 10/11/2007, -15/+10How could he have not won the presidential election with that kind of monitor set-up? I bet George W. doesn't have three cinema displays.
- Derrekito, on 10/11/2007, -18/+5http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f38/ss_rUn_N_gUn/MANBEARPIG.jpg
I'm Super Cereal! - mikesbaker, on 10/11/2007, -2/+84well his technology sure has come a long way. just look at this:
http://www.time.com/time/photogallery/0,29307,1622338_1362955,00.html - Rhino2, on 10/11/2007, -13/+6
That's a nice setup, but looks a little cramped.
Personally, I would like the monitors up a few more inches (maybe stick some of those books under there!) and also a bit more desk room around the keyboard and mouse... doesn't look like he has enough room to move the mouse!
But yea... nice Monitor setup and nice office! You go Al.
(someone should photo shop that image:
"lolz! I'm using teh apple monitors... to invents ur internets!"
(disclaimer: I'm a fan of Al.) - MindTrigger, on 10/11/2007, -21/+111That is the desk of someone who is actually getting some ***** work done. Run for president, Al.
- musicfreak21, on 10/11/2007, -1/+18haha. Drudgereport is open.
- tangerine, on 10/11/2007, -2/+8Christ Yeah! Al has his shiot pimped out.
- lukehh, on 10/11/2007, -14/+7I wish I invented the internet so I could have 3 cinema dislplays to watch it all.
- undersky, on 10/11/2007, -9/+1and all you diggers only care about/pay attention to is his computer monitors?!?! geek overloaded!!!
- Rhino2, on 10/11/2007, -12/+6"I wish I invented the internet so I could have 3 cinema dislplays to watch it all."
.... "Dam.. that's working good. Real good. I must say, this turned out better then I thought. Yes, indeed.
Tipper! Come here woman, you got to see this.
Mmmm... internets" - Al Gore, 2007 - Chazzer3, on 10/11/2007, -2/+11What a mess!

...I don't see it. - lepton, on 10/11/2007, -14/+2Hi, Al! We KNOW you're reading this Digg! -Mike from http://www.myallo.com
- OriginalLucid1, on 10/11/2007, -10/+3Goracle worship on Digg. Nice.
- Emanji, on 10/11/2007, -0/+32who needs hot interns when you have 3 cinema displays like that.
- RevMark, on 10/11/2007, -10/+6As much as I dispise Gore. I am definetly jealous. I mean 3 30" Cinema Displays. MM MM MM
- roderick, on 10/11/2007, -12/+10Im sorry but his desk is embarrassing.
- gxcdesign, on 10/11/2007, -2/+19hasn't he ever hear of Tabbed browsing?
- tinygibbles, on 10/11/2007, -0/+14Tabbed browsing is for people with small screens. If you have 90" of screen space...I want to see what happens when he hits f9.
- elvenseven, on 10/11/2007, -7/+12Thats what you get when you invent the internet.
- diggcopblowme, on 10/11/2007, -5/+3He should sell one of those cinema displays and hire a maid.
- donwilson2, on 10/11/2007, -6/+1Sadly this kind of setup only exists when you're on the board for the corporation and get everything for free.
- fronta1, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2...drool...
- reallydigginit, on 10/11/2007, -9/+3You know, I defy any GOP jerkoff to cite the exact quote of when Al Gore claimed to invent the Internet.
These GOP myths are hilarious, and this one-- like most-- is completely false.
Other top GOP myth hits:
Mission Accomplished.
Saddam really did have WMD
GW Bush is a hero (my personal favorite. Did you see that little pr*ck freeze up in front of that classroom full of kids on 9/11?)
Tax cuts will pay for themselves
Reagan was a great president (Yeah, except for the whole treason thing. Selling missile to Iran-- aiding our enemies. And they name airports after this guy. Just how stupid are Republicans?)
Brownie did a heckuvajob
Nixon wasn't actually a good president (LOL...I they worship treasonists and felons.... Hey, it's all they got.)
Anyhow, the list is long and rich and full....
Al Gore saying invented the internet is just more GOP nonsense circle-jerk logic --- but hey, what do you expect from people who proudly claim to NOT be part of the reality based community? - gmillerd, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Is that ipod on the shelf still in new the box I wonder.
- Ireland, on 10/11/2007, -1/+3When Leopard comes out he can give two of those displays away http://www.apple.com/macosx/leopard/spaces.html
- musicfreak21, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2I sent the image over to Drudge at the DrudgeReport and it's up right now.
http://img132.imageshack.us/img132/5892/screenshot02vh6.jpg - domokunt, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3WOW hes so energy efficient!
- scarper86, on 10/11/2007, -4/+190Thank god modern computers have brought us the era of the "paperless office."
Sweet setup though.- dunezone, on 10/11/2007, -15/+7I know, with the introduction of the flatbed scanner we were able to migrate all paper-work to digital format and we never went back. Thank god those days are over.
- jackyyll, on 10/11/2007, -3/+67I sure hope all that paper is recycled paper!
- timbro1, on 10/11/2007, -4/+1I haven't heard that joke before...
- pegleg1971, on 10/11/2007, -24/+5His office SCREAMS A.D.D.!
- tacojohn, on 10/11/2007, -19/+5Sweet, but can't believe how messy his place is. Shame.
- Pie4Weebl, on 10/11/2007, -78/+25For someone preaching against carbon emissions so much isn't three large monitors a bit of a power drain?
- NeoRicen, on 10/11/2007, -20/+103Hey dumbass energy doesnt equal carbon emissions, you can have green power.
- fuzzmeister, on 10/11/2007, -34/+13...not really....
- KlayBorg, on 10/11/2007, -18/+12Also he offsets all his emissions using a carbon neutral scheme.
- SuperJimmyJimbo, on 10/11/2007, -24/+22@klayborg
I think you meant "Carbon Neutral Scam" - KlayBorg, on 10/11/2007, -19/+14What makes it a scam? Ohhh, you think global warming isn't happening because of us, is that right?
- p0s3r, on 10/11/2007, -13/+10His carbon credits are part of the benefits package he gets from his carbon trading company. IOW, the Goracle doesn't have to pay up ***** or change his lifestyle one iota.
- gharding, on 10/11/2007, -2/+26You realize that you could power like 30 30" ACDs by spending $13k on solar panel installation.
- nreynolds, on 10/11/2007, -3/+8@ klayborg
It's a scam because the companies offering the offsets sell them and haven't actually done anything to offset carbon emissions, at least some of them. There was a news story about it a while back.
- basye, on 10/11/2007, -4/+72He organizes in piles, just like me!
- davdav, on 10/11/2007, -1/+14and we use the term "organized" loosely.
- edtruckell, on 10/11/2007, -1/+14theres one man who im sure would be happy if apple implement 'piles' in OSX
- derkles, on 10/11/2007, -2/+1I leave my piles in file 13. Flush!
- praisethelard, on 06/06/2008, -22/+141You need all the monitors you can get when you search for the elusive ManBearPig.
- dolby71, on 10/11/2007, -3/+0HAHAHA!!!
Exactly what I was thinking!
- dolby71, on 10/11/2007, -3/+0HAHAHA!!!
- moo113, on 10/11/2007, -29/+6Why would he need three 30" from a foot away?
Edit: @inbred Your right, must be searching for ManBearPig.- antiorblkflag9, on 10/11/2007, -13/+34YOU'RE
- domokunt, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1spelling nazis are lame
- domokunt, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1nazi's
- cplkai, on 11/06/2007, -4/+78Looks like he's into Azureus as well.
- KlayBorg, on 10/11/2007, -30/+23I wish he would run for the American presidency.
- AoiTakuma, on 11/06/2007, -19/+68why would he run? every time he runs and wins they give the job to someone else
- jon3k, on 10/11/2007, -9/+5yeah except he lost.
- radiofrequency, on 10/11/2007, -21/+6Nice setup, but it's pathetic all he's using it for is compiling/tracking crap from the media. Doesn't anybody actually work anymore?
- joe361, on 10/11/2007, -131/+13What a surprise the fag uses Apple products.
- KlayBorg, on 10/11/2007, -22/+68He is on their board of directors, you moron.
No matter what you say, that man has done more for the world in the past 5 years than you could ever hope achieve. - joe361, on 10/11/2007, -50/+13That's right he invented the Internet!
- Ramble, on 10/11/2007, -19/+11Such as..?
- velvethead, on 10/11/2007, -7/+48Not sure why I bother anymore, but people Al Gore NEVER SAID he invented the internet. It was a media fabrication based on comments he made about being involved in the early days of the internet while in the senate. The sad thing is, while Al really was involved in the early days, actually aware of what was going on. And, at the time, GW was by his own admission still drinking. Sad.
- zmigliozzi, on 10/11/2007, -6/+3Take a freaking joke.
- jon3k, on 10/11/2007, -0/+8Exact Quote from Gore about creating the Internet:
"During my service in the United States Congress, I took the initiative in creating the Internet. I took the initiative in moving forward a whole range of initiatives that have proven to be important to our country's economic growth and environmental protection, improvements in our educational system."
Google it sometime.
Obviously he didn't mean that he actually INVENTED the Internet, it was just clumsy wording, which even he admitted later. Big ***** deal. Can we all move on now?
- KlayBorg, on 10/11/2007, -22/+68He is on their board of directors, you moron.
- super8mtb, on 10/11/2007, -15/+6One would think for such a powerful man he'd have a bigger office.
- Greyhaven7, on 10/11/2007, -31/+16Powerful indeed. "King of the Idiot Hippies"... how much more power could one want?
- fibreoptix, on 10/11/2007, -133/+20Nice set up Al.. but what's the refresh rate on those and the contrast ratio? I bet you still get ghosting large and I'd pwn you in CounterStrike:Source at 150 fps with settings on max. Oooops that's a Mac...scratch this, it's an automatic own.
- KlayBorg, on 10/11/2007, -14/+79Who cares? Seriously, nobody gives a ***** about you and your stupid computer game.
- davidrools, on 10/11/2007, -28/+6Seriously, the refresh rate on Apple Cinema Displays is pretty bad. Maybe they've updated them in the past year but I use them at work and it's terrible. And for the price you pay, it really ought to be height adjustable. You also ought to be able to rotate it.
- airmann90, on 10/11/2007, -14/+56People still play counter-strike?
- tensvb, on 10/11/2007, -38/+10I work as a graphic designer and I can tell you I wouldn't touch Apple monitors with a ten-foot pole. But for office work it might by OK.
- hoghug, on 10/11/2007, -7/+60"I work as a graphic designer and I can tell you I wouldn't touch Apple monitors with a ten-foot pole. But for office work it might by OK."
Interesting. I too work as a professional designer/ illustrator and I wouldn't work on anything else. - tmattoneill, on 10/11/2007, -12/+6you are quite simply the biggest loser i've ever come across.
- Ramble, on 10/11/2007, -13/+5Agreed, Apple screens arn't all that good. You can get better and cheaper ones elsewhere.
- AgentAce, on 10/11/2007, -2/+9I'm still waiting for the "BOOM! HEADSHOT!"
- Mirag3, on 10/11/2007, -0/+12When will the idiots learn that when they say "I'm an professional in this *computer related or technical field*," this is Digg - so is everybody else! Stop using your job as an excuse for ignorance!
- tensvb, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2hoghug, may I recommend you Eizo ColorEdge monitors? Maybe you will change your mind about Apple displays...
http://www.eizo.com/products/graphics/index.asp - davidrools, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1wow the apple fanboys are burying comments at full force.
http://www.apple.com/displays/specs.html
14ms response time. move the mouse and you see the trail on your pointer very clearly. that's lousy. most LCDs these days are in the range of 4-8ms response times. for what you pay for a cinema display, it ought to be competitive in this area. stop being fanboys and be a little objective.
- seehuge, on 10/11/2007, -29/+15Am I the only one disappointed to see "a recent photo of Al working on his Mac in his office." on the front page? That is just lame.
Don't get me wrong, I love Apple.....but come on.- ScrabbyDoo, on 10/11/2007, -5/+38i think its not beause apple per se, we're just nerds. Would have dugg it if it was a 3 dell monitor setup too
- kylesherman, on 10/11/2007, -5/+17It would have been classic to have Al Gore checking his myspace in this picture. Great setup.
- cheesefan, on 10/11/2007, -5/+18He's director on the board of Apple.
Current.tv is also on the TV , which he is the president of.
Both things I love...
- shakingfist, on 10/11/2007, -5/+4Sweet product positioning.
- Destos, on 10/11/2007, -16/+77I would so rather have had a president that knew how to use a computer. And hes actually using a 'real' computer at that.
- metalhead3767, on 10/11/2007, -5/+18Didn't Bush admit he never used email?
- canyonblue, on 10/11/2007, -1/+13so did Clinton. he said he never used the computer at all either, except to have an aid help him write emails to his daughter.
- Mirag3, on 10/11/2007, -8/+25But Clinton was a Rhode's scholar with an IQ of 185 - Bush is just the retarded monkey in the White House.
- CrankyMcGuy, on 10/16/2007, -0/+1I'm not a President Bush fan by any means, but you guys need to get your facts straight. Bush's low IQ was a hoax report that's been debunked (http://www.csbsju.edu/uspp/Bush/Bush-IQ-Myth.html) ...
- LaughingMan11, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2canyonblue... Clinton used a computer, at least at the waning days of his presidency.
see here : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vN1OCrRrgVw - CrankyMcGuy, on 10/16/2007, -0/+1George W. Bush has been photographed numerous times with a Apple Powerbook on his desk. Also see wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apple_Macintosh). So I'm afraid your statement is misinformed. You would have been better off just saying "I wish Al Gore was President."
- TheToecutter, on 10/11/2007, -14/+83 displays...is news?
- e3boy, on 10/11/2007, -9/+4that's *****! but dude clean your office!
- Greyhaven7, on 10/11/2007, -15/+9But those are all his copies of the "hockey-stick graph". It took a lot of fudging to get it to look convincing.
- KlayBorg, on 10/11/2007, -14/+6Go to hell,greyhaven, you douch.
- willij, on 10/11/2007, -9/+4He needs to clean is desk or hire someone to do it for him. Oh yeah, the displays are awesome. Chris Pirillo only has two.
- EradicateIV, on 10/11/2007, -13/+8Manbearpig cannot escape cascading screens!
- nerd05, on 10/11/2007, -14/+9I think he's trying to compensate for something.
- SuperJimmyJimbo, on 10/11/2007, -15/+10Wow, that's a lot of paper...wow,thats a lot of wasted trees
- Miraa, on 10/11/2007, -6/+8Not exactly the picture of the paperless office. You'd think with all those monitors...
- getouttamyfog, on 10/11/2007, -16/+37My respect just went way up for Al Gore.
- caponumen, on 10/11/2007, -16/+5He can stuff it up his gore hole......
- wdr1, on 10/11/2007, -12/+3Jeezz, is his desk messy.
- p0s3r, on 10/16/2007, -5/+48I'm sure he powers the monitors with windmills outside and makes his own paper from dutch elms he has growing in his backyard.
- chotty, on 10/11/2007, -2/+1Right. Wouldn't ONE Apple 30" Cinema display be better for the environment, Al?
Gore has burned more private jet fuel than the gas i'll ever burn for my '05 Toyota...
but of course, we should all do as he says, not as he does.
- chotty, on 10/11/2007, -2/+1Right. Wouldn't ONE Apple 30" Cinema display be better for the environment, Al?
- etoiles, on 10/16/2007, -1/+11wonder how long it takes to move the cursor across all monitors with so little space for his mouse...
- weezere, on 10/11/2007, -6/+1Probably not as long as it takes him to peck out a page of text with one hand.
- CrankyMcGuy, on 10/16/2007, -0/+1My favorite comment today. Bravo!
- suMMx, on 10/11/2007, -18/+18looks like he's doing his part to save energy and stop global warming
- yobkeeg, on 10/11/2007, -21/+7Perks of being a apple director.... Gee I wonder how he is powering all those monitors plus tvs in his den...
- jodokast, on 10/11/2007, -4/+35Electricity...
- dstz, on 10/11/2007, -7/+4Coal fired electricity if it is in the USA.
- drgruney, on 10/11/2007, -0/+9@dstz
Um... town I live in has a natural gas power plant. There is also the option in my area to use wind generated power. (I live in North Texas)
And Al gets his power from TVA (Tennessee Valley Authority) which means his electricity comes from hydroelectric dams, and it's cheap. - yabos, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Apple's tech specs say max 150W per 30 inch display which it looks like those are. So 450W is not much.
- jhkilroy, on 10/11/2007, -26/+8typical limo liberal tells everyone else to conserve while he does not.
- mikos, on 10/11/2007, -6/+14*****! If the bloviating bastard Lou Dobbs can get away with making millions of $, living on a 300 acre house and an ultra-rich lifestyle while claiming to the "voice of the middle-class" . Why can't al gore be the spokesperson for conservation despite his consumption mr. holier-than-thou conservative.?
- MacBandit, on 10/11/2007, -12/+7I can see why he would be a good candidate to help organize our government.
- cojerk, on 10/11/2007, -4/+4Man and I thought my desk was messy!
Makes me suspicious though. I think photoshop was at work here. What's missing is the half-eaten slice of pizza on a stack of books, a couple of Cheezy Poofs here and there, and half a dozen empty cans of cola. - jhkilroy, on 10/11/2007, -12/+5
THANK GOD FOR THE HANGING CHAD !!!! - gincarnated, on 10/16/2007, -11/+31Would have made a great president. Such a shame the way things ended up for America and the rest of the world.
- gentlemanjack, on 10/11/2007, -6/+17If only he had invented a way of filing paper.
- synriga, on 10/16/2007, -11/+6If the condition of his office is an indication of how he might have run the country, then I'm relieved that he lost the electron! I wonder if Bill Clinton's office looks like this.
- MacintoshSauce, on 10/11/2007, -8/+2That would be so cool to have three 30" Apple Displays hooked up to my Mac Pro. WOW! Since I cannot afford that kind of display setup, I will have to settle for two 22" Samsung 226BW LCD monitors.
- spartan777, on 10/16/2007, -13/+9how could he have wasted so much money on superfluous computer screens when there are trees getting slashed and burned down in brazil, this very moment.
- aaronjensen, on 10/11/2007, -8/+1Apparently you are still attempting to catch onto the idea of him being on Apple's Board? In case that still needs explaining, he doesn't pay for Apple products.
- rockets, on 10/16/2007, -12/+8Hey Al use only one monitor like the rest of us. Help us conserve power.... or are you exempt ?
- lepton, on 10/11/2007, -4/+13He IS saving power. A few years ago those would have been three big CRTs.
- OffPiste, on 10/11/2007, -9/+4Just another "do as I say, not as I do liberal."
- Codee, on 10/11/2007, -12/+16Nice.There goes a chunk of Antarctica.
- jcmiro, on 10/11/2007, -29/+10Yeah SuRE is environmental....How many tens of thousands of dollars to power his summer house.....3x30inch displays=1000+watts...."we need to save power" BULLL ***** *****..... POLITICs..........
- dw2005, on 10/11/2007, -8/+27Lay off the Fox News for a bit -- You might actually learn something.
http://www.snopes.com/politics/business/gorehome.asp - yabos, on 10/11/2007, -0/+7Why don't you actually find out how much power they use instead of making things up. 3x30 inch uses MAX 450 Watts according to Apple's tech specs. Oh yes, and they consume a measly 3 Watts each when powered "off".
- zmigliozzi, on 10/11/2007, -5/+4@dw2005
Claim: Al Gore's residence uses considerably more energy than the average American home.
Status: True
True means, the claim is correct big boy. Not 20 times the average house, only 12 times the average house. - Firehed, on 10/11/2007, -1/+7And his house is considerably larger than the average American's house as well. Bigger places tend to use more power, for numerous reasons. I still think he's being quite hypocritical about his green movement, but he's at least not denying there's a problem, and if you use some sort of power/sq.ft. ratio, he's probably pretty close to average.
- zmigliozzi, on 10/11/2007, -2/+2Al Gore's house: ~10,000 sq ft.
Average house size in US as of 2004: 2300 sq ft.
you do the math and tell me how close he is to be "on average" proportionally. Thanks.
- dw2005, on 10/11/2007, -8/+27Lay off the Fox News for a bit -- You might actually learn something.
- gafasiesornivek, on 10/11/2007, -17/+3Here we have the man who said 'he invented the internet' and he uses a Mac. Clueless? Me too. Speaks volumes for the average Mac user's computing knowledge.
- catbeller, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4Looks like the first monitor is dedicated to Buzzflash.com. Chicago represents.
- zomgzlol, on 10/11/2007, -3/+44"Here we have the man who said 'he invented the internet' and he uses a Mac. Clueless? Me too. Speaks volumes for the average Mac user's computing knowledge."
M.O.R.O.N.
