- rtini, on 10/12/2007, -2/+21You can also download and use it for 2 days without a serial number.
- anti_hax0r, on 10/12/2007, -1/+18dual dual dual
your processors are not fighting each other people!!! - fanboydcs, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7Its not for the public its for people that are using CS2 and want to see if its worth it to upgrade to CS3, primarily Apple users that need it for native intel support..
- ajchavar, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7yes, it has, but it's not native on macs with an intel dual core- hence mac excitement over CS3.
- reidman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5alternative: There was no need for that. He just asked a simple question.
- Zippo, on 10/12/2007, -3/+8Not if you Photoshop it yellow!
- seinman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Doesn't work. I tried it.
- malliemcg, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5Well its Friday in other places of the world and Adobe sell globally... :P
- yabos, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Oh ***** you can't use your pirated version, damn. note sarcasm.
- WhiteIce89, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5Photoshop has been utilizing 2 (or more?) cores since at least Photoshop 7.0. So has Premiere.
Check me on that, please. - jcdickerson, on 10/12/2007, -8/+12Title inaccurate - at least for a few more hours. It ain't Friday yet.
(nitpicker) - SpacePirate, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5It's commercial software and it requires a serial? I suppose you'd screw that too.
- Rice, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4You don't get it.
Transitioning an app suite like CS2 to another proc arch is VERY time consuming. It's not worth the dollars lost, and the delay in shipping CS3. - leobaby, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5Let me make a guess that the palettes will not dock without covering up your open document. Still.

- borninda818, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3"1024x769"
aww, mine is just 1024 x 768 - countmandible, on 11/15/2007, -0/+2It is also really expensive for Me Corp. to keep buying these new versions to stay as productive as I can be...cost of doing business I suppose.
- ajchavar, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4its not inaccurate- the description says Dec 15th. its also not closed, anyone without a serial can download and use it for 2 days.
- YoGramMamma, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2i'm doing some testin on it now, runnin cs1 and doing random stuff to the same image in each pic. Each image is 300dpi at some insane resolution like 16667xsomething else. Its chuggin along on the MPB CD 2.0 with 1 gig of ram. Noiceably faster than CS1 and some nice interface changes that i like. The look of it is slightly more clean and dare i say.. web 2.0. But i'm trying to figure out the most intensive thing i can do to test the difference. i just took that huge file and added like 8 layers with 8 effects on each layer (shadow, bevel, gradient overlay etc) and then did save for web to a png24..... its taking its pretty time.. but its workin hard.
whats weird is both the activity monitor and the iStat Pro widget is showing me that its only using about 20% processing power... i noticed that before... but after the effect finished rendering it then shot up to like 145% (out of 200% since its dual core) for a few seconds and then died back down. I think its gotta be a glitch or something.... perils of getting ancy with it i guess.. i hope this is either an isolated case or they fix this before tmorrow.... or that the monitors are just reading it wrong... but somehow i doubt its a bad reading...
hmm - mistafreeze, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3I am downloading the windows version now, i will see if i can install it using the same serial i put in on my mac (the cs2 version I have is for the mac)
- mistafreeze, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2the edu version of photoshop is for cs2 only, you cannot use it for future upgrades or commercial work, as it says when you buy it. so it kinda makes sense that you will not be able to get in on the cs3 beta. The smart thing to do, is go on eBay and buy up an older ps6/7 lic and buy the upgrade (some sellers sell these in combos) you usually save 100-200 dollars, since Adobe doesn't like to allow users who own macs and windows machines to share lic' you have to buy full retail copies for both machines, I quickly found this work around out several years ago, after already dropping the money down for a full version, and needing another version for my pc machine, and have been telling friends to do the same ever since.
- Jaymoon, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2You go here: https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/entitlement/index.cfm?e=labs%5Fphotoshop%5Fsn
Put in your *legit* CS2, etc key.... Then you get a CS3 key for the beta. - nikolas, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I'm not asking for one they paid for, I wouldn't give out a serial I purchased neither, just if anyone has one they didn't exactly.. buy... lol
- YoGramMamma, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/entitlement/index.cfm?e=labs%5Fphotoshop
i guess taking a lil stress off adobes servers before launch day shouldnt hurt much
though there might be a new version tomorrow since this one says 12_14_06 in the filename
Note: you need your adobe ID to download it. mac and windows verison available - nikolas, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Hey, does anyone have a serial for the beta? Every key I put into the online converter doesn't work. Thanks!! Please post.
- mikev, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Lightroom is really fast with a huge photo library on my C2D MacBook Pro. I hope Photoshop CS3 is the same
- dawgma, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Thanks. That's good to know.
- betovarg, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Dude... i seriously dont think they´ll post the serial here. Although, it would be very nice hehe

This is only the demo. - micklerlop, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1it will blow your mind ... for real. ui still same thou.
- reidman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I've got an educational copy of the CS2, and I can't get my serial to work...is anyone else having problems? Any other users having trouble getting an edu serial to work?
- nikolas, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I think it might be because we're trying Creative Suite 2 serials, not actual just Photoshop serials... Since this clearly isn't the whole suite.
- shagie, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2download link not working anymore? I used http://trials.adobe.com/pub/esd/labs/photoshopcs3/adobephotoshop_10_12-14-06.exe that scotty558 posted and it just forwards to a page not containing CS3 :(
- mistafreeze, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1actually you have to activate your copy, i still think you can use either serial number, but I do not think adobe will let you install it on both platforms, however you can install it w/o a serial number and use it for 30 days, if you put in a serial number you only have 2 days to use it. also the camera raw plugin says it expires in may
- guoweiok, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2I have installed it and here is my screenshot of Photoshop CS 3 as well as some fast review.

http://www.demonoid.com/details.php?torrent_id=569096&4651332/ - mistafreeze, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1it means it is full, I had that problem a while back, just keep trying it and you will get in, make sure to go ahead and get your serial number.
here are a few interface pix, enjoy!

is the new cs3 interface showing off the new smart filters - phpfreak, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I have an educational version, and it gave me a serial number no problem.
- gonano, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Using photoshop 3 for over two hours with no memory or cpu hogging.
Im doing photo touch ups and graphic design with a lot of layer effects.
I have really only heavily used layer styles and adjustment layers without any errors.
Other things I have looked at have not given me errors either.
iMac 24"
PS CS3 can relaunch in 4 seconds.
PS CS2 can relaunch in 16 seconds.
CPU usage with 5 opened files 0.60%
RAM usage 250MB
Initial launch for PS CS3 took around 23 seconds and 46 seconds for PS CS 2.
Opening medium-large files (over 2MB) load up much quicker and feel snapier when moving windows and changing from multiple opened files. - betovarg, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1So, have you used cs1 in bootcamp? if so, is its performance comparable?
what has been worrying me is if its slower then cs1 on xp.
Thanx - betovarg, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1So, I finally downloaded an tested the CS3. I have been working with big files with lotsa layers (190+ mb, 50+ layers) and i can say it is comparable to running cs1 on bootcamp, on XP. At first I saw it was eating up to 850 mb ram, i lowered it on the prefs to 47% of ram usage and i feel its better. Bridge is smooth. For those worried about the performance (like me) i think this is HUGE improvement over CS1 on Rosetta.
- mikae1, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I just tested it on a Mac Pro 2.66 GHz with 2GB RAM and ATI Radeon X1900 XT 512MB. The test action I did took 04:33:85 on CS2 and 02:00:38 with CS3. Quite a difference.
- kallgaier, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Actually, it is only 2 days. I opted for the 30-day trial, and when I open it again, it says I have two days left. Bummer!
- nikolas, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I'm not sure if the versions use different serials or not, I'm on a Mac too btw.
- YoGramMamma, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1other things i forgot to mention is that... 1) ive managed to lock the program up twice in the last 30 mins. it didnt crash.. just froze up when i went to go change a palette setting or something minor. And 2) it seems to be a ram HOG. good lawd i swear i just force quit the program again and it went from 11MB free to 802MB free. Earlier i opened the program with 500 free megs and soon as i opened a hi res pic it went down to 15 free......I'm just spouting off some things i noticed.... hopefully this won't be what gets released to the masses.
- anonymousguy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I also have an educational copy, and I can't get my serial to work either.
