Perspiration? When using the phone?
How fat are you? - jialuolu, on 10/11/2007, -0/+33Last time I checked, there were 30 days in June
- normalkid, on 10/11/2007, -1/+28Ads posted at Apple. There are 3 ads.
http://www.apple.com/iphone/ads/ - 7aylor, on 10/11/2007, -1/+25The highlight of 60 Minutes' entire series: The iPhone commercial.
- nreynolds, on 10/11/2007, -1/+23last time I checked, calendars are INCREDIBLY innaccurate. Nobody can predict how many days a given month will have. You just have to wait and see.
- JoeBaynham, on 10/11/2007, -4/+25I don't know how or why I just suddenly want and iPhone now. NOW!!
- ronmexico, on 10/11/2007, -1/+22Saturday is still a day right?
- chrismcelligott, on 10/11/2007, -1/+22They do a great job of showing off the iPhone to regular consumers, as the geeks we already know what it does.

http://www.apple.com/iphone/ads/ - Antialias, on 10/11/2007, -1/+14I'll be suprised if it hits 1,000. It's not like we didn't know it was being released this month. Minor detail.
- zweben, on 10/11/2007, -0/+12"maybe if I go up a mountain and freeze myself the wait will seem instantaneous. I'll just have to bring a friend along to make sure they know where to dig when the time comes..."
I'll digg you up. - inactive, on 10/11/2007, -1/+12maybe if I go up a mountain and freeze myself the wait will seem instantaneous. I'll just have to bring a friend along to make sure they know where to dig when the time comes...
- turpenine, on 10/11/2007, -3/+14when hell freezes over
we are keeping it from you as long as we can.
so sorry, your maple syrup just isn't good enough. - kungming2, on 10/11/2007, -0/+9They're all very tasteful and simple ads. I hope we can see more coming soon.
- mattyohe, on 10/11/2007, -0/+8Of note: The date/time was set for today! Same time on all 3 ads, obviously for consistency's sake.
The Web icon is now "Safari"
Logo on the phone is 'AT&T and not 'at&t'
Don't forget the fine print:
"Use requires minimum new 2 year activation plan." - l0tharnt, on 10/11/2007, -3/+11What a soft way to release the launch date. Very subtle.
- zweben, on 10/11/2007, -1/+8"Saturday is still a day right?"
Common misconception. - StandardsDT, on 10/11/2007, -0/+7It's the guy who does the ads for AT&T. Ya know when he says "Cingular is the new AT&T".
- Utku, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6Observations on the ads:
http://forums.macrumors.com/showpost.php?p=3701878&postcount=116
http://forums.macrumors.com/showpost.php?p=3701867&postcount=110 - akarpo, on 10/11/2007, -4/+10Don't know if anyone caught this, at the end of the ad; "Use requires minimum 2 year contract"
:( - kungming2, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5I find it amusing that anyone watching Pirates of the Caribbean 2 would want to eat squid right after... :)
- JoeLeo, on 10/11/2007, -1/+6Whew! For a while, there, I thought the iPhone wasn't going to ship until June 32 or 33.
- GGERG15, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5i have a feeling that if AT&T and Apple want this to blow up like they need it to they will have a better data/voice plan than what's currently given. I think that's part of the reason why no one has said anything about the contract.
- Rued, on 10/11/2007, -5/+10Wow google maps looks great!
- JoeLeo, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4Who is Anna Haro and why is she calling on the iPhone?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m798MzUjUz8 - jdandrea, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3The upper-case AT&T is correct. Brand guidelines state that the lower-case AT&T is only to be used in conjunction with the new globe logo. Otherwise it is to be left upper-cased.
Of course this is still confusing. To this day there are employees who sign emails with "at&t" in plain text.
In short, Apple got it correct. - AmpCoder, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4Not true. AT&T is correct when it is used by itself. When the globe logo is used with the text it is at&t.
- astrosmash, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3The leading story on the NY Times website was the impending sale of Chrysler, so it was filmed around May 13th.
- nreisan, on 10/11/2007, -2/+5a sports car is a chick magnet
this is a fancy cell phone with a touch screen, its a geek magnet - mrfreeziexp, on 10/11/2007, -1/+3Is anyone else having problems viewing the commercial in firefox? Or is it just me?
- dareiff, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2No, of course not... That's the treachery of AT&T... And of course Apple, as well.
I was so excited for this phone.
But now the FACTS say there will be no SIM card access, no battery access, and no OEM version; meaning that you won't just be able to buy this on ebay.... - batmant, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2@hella81
I hope you're right. I wonder if Cingular will allow anyone to upgrade regardless of time left on contract. - jdandrea, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2Upper-case AT&T is correct. ampcoder is spot-on in explaining why.
- Gee1004, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2A mini-copper is a chick magnet too, why buy a BMW
- mattyohe, on 10/11/2007, -6/+7Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m798MzUjUz8
- TheSack, on 10/11/2007, -3/+4I wish they would sell it unlocked.
- hella81, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2@batmant
I would assume it means that if you are a current contract holder, your current contract is void, and you sign a *new* contract.
For example, if your current contract has 2 months left on it and you buy an iPhone, the 2 months is dropped, and you now have a 2 year contract. - HalBSure, on 10/11/2007, -8/+8I will admit, I couldn't tell if you were serious or not.
- digiguy, on 10/11/2007, -4/+4I bet this will be a chick magnet
- dreid, on 10/11/2007, -2/+2Does anyone know where I can get that cute music playing in the background of the commercials?
- MeNaCe942, on 10/11/2007, -4/+4if i never hear about this iphone again it wont be too soon
- goodoldharris, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1I'm looking forward to the iPhone. Hopefully it will live up to Apple's other recent products. But does no one else think these ads are boring? I mean, simple is good. But these ads are dull.

I said "previous images". The phone shown in Jan said "Cingular". - batmant, on 10/11/2007, -6/+6Anyone recognize the narrator? I can't place it but it sounds very familiar.
- applelover123, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0Actually, both AT&T and Apple will be selling the iPhone. I asked both an employee for Apple and AT&T and they both told me the same thing. The guy at AT&T said that they probably won't have a higher price for those buying it without a contract since you can get it at Apple for the same price. I think that if you buy from Apple then you have to have it activated (hence the minumum two year plan) for your account but I could be wrong. I hope you can just pop in your sim card and be good to go.
- mobilehavoc, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1Begun the Digg iPhone dupe wars have
- zweben, on 10/11/2007, -4/+3No, you're getting it wrong. They have adopted Apple naming conventions.
It's aT&t. -
