I'm shocked at the price of Dreamweaver, its utterly worthless next to Textmate or BBEdit unless your a wyzzykid - themurph2099, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I've used Inkscape...and it may be a great open source program...but it isn't an Illustrator replacement. It's a Corel Draw replacement at best. I haven't tried GnuCash (although I will now), but I don't care for GIMP much either...so I selected programs that I thought were better suited for doing the job.
- mentat, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1God, this was a worthless article. It's like the guy hasn't even heard of Open Source. GIMP can replace PhotoShop (done it), Inkscape can replace Illustrator, and there's a whole huge slew of software that can replace Dreamweaver. As far as QuickBooks go, try GnuCash.
