- ppilatee, on 01/24/2008, -1/+10I don't know how I'll survive another 7 days without wiggling icons.... but I can try.
- markwilcox, on 01/24/2008, -0/+5ITS HERE http://cre.ations.net/blog/post/iphone-113-jailbre ...
- Adgeman, on 01/24/2008, -1/+5Don't get too excited; from my experience this is hit-or-miss. One day it'll show my exact location - really exact - but then it has real trouble finding the same location when I'm sat in the same seat. Pretty odd given my area is listed on their maps as a fully-covered area.
- chemman14, on 01/24/2008, -0/+3so what if i still have 1.1.1?? will i be able to go from 1.1.1 to 1.1.3?
- markwilcox, on 01/24/2008, -0/+2That's why they were waiting until the SDK is released. Install apps on a jailbroken iPhone and send em over SSH and put em in a torrent.
- yugiohdan6, on 01/24/2008, -0/+2he means that he hasn't updated to the newest software because it wasn't jailbroken
- Eslamicolt3, on 01/24/2008, -0/+2I wonder whats going to happen in a few weeks when the official SDK is released. I used to have my phone jailbroken and it was great. But I know I'm going to want some of the official apps that get released as well, and I don't mind paying 10 bucks for an app I'll use all the time. Wonder if you can have both jailbroken apps and official SDK apps installed on the same iPhone.
- kevanloy, on 01/24/2008, -0/+1What I am dying to try is the Locate Me feature. Everyone I know who has a phone has it jailbroken like mine so I haven't had a chance to check it out yet. I
- SuperSunny, on 01/24/2008, -0/+1Not exactly. Unconfirmed for iPod Touches (although it should be the same), and not for OS X yet.
- bmdhacks, on 01/24/2008, -0/+1It's surprisingly accurate. However, occasionally it gets it wrong, but every time that's happened to me I've been close enough to street signs to realize it.
- inactive, on 01/24/2008, -0/+1Screw that! I don't want to hear one more damn thing about Jailbreak unless it's a resurrection of the old Quake 2/Half-Life mod.
- Bravecombo, on 01/24/2008, -0/+1Can't wait for this! I upgraded to 1.1.3 on accident, but i fixed it yesterday.
- Skitals, on 01/24/2008, -0/+1mirror: http://www.modiphone.net/113-jailbreak-released/
- WhiteIce89, on 01/24/2008, -0/+1They actually found another exploit, they were gonna originally wait until SDK but since they have two different methods of jailbreaking 1.1.3, they're working on making one of them available now. They're working on making the process as easy as possible at this time.
- DreKor, on 01/24/2008, -0/+1Would jailbreaking my 1.1.3 touch mean my battery will last more than 5 hours on idle? Or maybe it will actually turn my WiFi antenna off so it doesn't get hot while sitting on my desk? Or, when I do try to turn on my WiFi, will it actually see broadcast SSIDs? These three things may be related. Anyway, I'm not pleased with 1.1.3.
- markwilcox, on 01/24/2008, -1/+2That's not what's good about the 1.1.3 jailbreak. What's good about it is that 1.1.3 supports custom apps from iTunes. When these apps are installed on a jailbroken iPhone the app files can be sent over SSH and we can all get them for free.
- macpro2006, on 01/24/2008, -0/+1umm the icons wiggle with out it jailbreak. Its Apples update

- franksands, on 01/24/2008, -0/+1Does this work on a 1.1.3 ipod touch?
- inactive, on 01/24/2008, -0/+1WiFi isn't making your iPod hot.
There's obviously a program running in the background that is consuming 100% of the CPU all of the time, which is why the thing gets hot and why the battery only lasts a few hours.
I would erase as re-install. - thehurricaneuk, on 01/24/2008, -0/+1on your 1.1.1 or other iphone get Navizon on there. think its the same thing as locate me
- jbellny, on 01/24/2008, -0/+1that doesn't make it any less a jailbreak...
- DMDekoth, on 01/24/2008, -0/+1http://www.jailbreaksource.com/ ?
- inactive, on 01/24/2008, -0/+1Shut up.
- BoneStamp, on 01/24/2008, -0/+1I love how this and the article saying it is now Live are both on the front page.
- j4nj1m3n3z, on 01/24/2008, -0/+1They aren't delaying it because FW 1.1.3 is already set for SDK apps. Therefore they can jailbreak it already so people can have both the SDK apps and 3rd party free apps with this firmware. Also, it is probably a safe assumption that Apple will not have a new firmware update before the SDK comes out.
- markwilcox, on 01/24/2008, -1/+1why the ***** would you link to gizmodo?!
http://cre.ations.net/blog/post/iphone-113-jailbre ... - SuperSunny, on 01/24/2008, -1/+1Go to 1.1.2? 1.1.1 works as well
- bigdoof, on 01/24/2008, -0/+0...and the real reson for jailbreaking iPhones becomes clear.
- pyrates, on 01/24/2008, -1/+1There is an app for 112 and 111 called locateme. It does the same thing. I've got it installed.
- jbellny, on 01/24/2008, -1/+1and the wait is over...
http://gizmodo.com/348719/iphone-113-jailbreak-is- ... - snoslicer8, on 01/24/2008, -1/+0The jailbreak is coming, it's true... ;)
- Trention, on 01/24/2008, -3/+1This non-news is surely front page worthy! here's another news flash: the next firmware that comes out, someone will be working hard on that one, too.
- Ireland, on 01/24/2008, -4/+2Who wants an omelette while we wait? I've got 2 on the pan
- Echomote, on 01/24/2008, -3/+1What happened to delaying it? Oh well, can't complain I guess.
- real, on 01/24/2008, -5/+1HUH I don't understand Sorry you know this how.
Oh wait sorry it what your thinking I see.
Very sorry nothing to see here - OS2Guy, on 01/24/2008, -9/+1Whoa here .. for the last two weeks these same development team has been claiming they already have a jailbreak but they were not going to release it until the SDK. Its total hooey. They keep planting these things because they got nothing but they gotta keep their small hacker base believing in them. If they had a jailbreak they would lease it now - why would they want to wait for the SDK? Can't they just jailbreak it again - and again and again?
They ain't got CRAP!!!
