- dteare, on 01/21/2008, -2/+14All your data is encrypted using Strong Cryptography so in the event of theft your confidential information would not be accessible. Only the person that knows the decryption password can access it.
- dcharti, on 01/21/2008, -2/+111Password rocks as a password and identity manager. With this forthcoming update, it'll basically offer the same features on the iPhone via a couple of really, really clever bookmarklets. Great work.
- TaylorAB, on 01/21/2008, -0/+8You can set the amount of time that the passwords are accessible, so after say 15 minutes is up, you have to type in the password again to have access.
- UrinalPooper, on 01/21/2008, -3/+11I'll wait for 2Girls1Password
(someone had to make that joke, just be glad I got it out of the way) - skeen07, on 01/21/2008, -1/+9Great. :D Got this on Macheist.
- stevenhatfield, on 01/21/2008, -0/+5So treat the phone as if it were your wallet. Do you let people pick up your wallet? Do you leave your wallet at the table when you go to the bathroom in the restaurant? Keep your phone with you at all times, and you won't have to worry about it. When someone wants to use your phone, proceed with caution...
- samssf, on 01/22/2008, -0/+3Yeah, I bought it via the Macheist bundle, and am very pleased so far... I can't believe I went this long without it.
- bitspace, on 01/22/2008, -0/+3Did you even read the article? That specific scenario was addressed and illustrated in the photo on the page: "To maintain security, however, your master 1Password login is still requested (just like with the aforementioned reference bookmarklet), protecting your account information even if your phone gets stolen."
- ilgaz, on 01/22/2008, -0/+31passwd development model should be a lesson for any company and people claiming Shareware is dead. If you care about your users, they will use your product and pay for it. I have seen Omniweb being supported in 3 DAYS after a single forum message and instantly purchased family license. Agile guys never proved me wrong since.
- subcomandante, on 01/22/2008, -1/+4No, nobody had to do it.
- dcharti, on 01/22/2008, -0/+31Password is pulling its trick via some smart bookmarklets; copy and paste can't happen until the SDK launches next month. Patience, young padawan.
- PathDaemon, on 01/22/2008, -0/+3I ran into Agile Web Solutions on the way out of Macworld, and they're truly the most awesomely friendly devs you can imagine. They're also Canadian.
1Passwd *cough* 1Password seemed so unneeded when I first saw it, but it just keeps gettin' more awesome by the day. - cleverboy, on 01/22/2008, -0/+2It's called "1Password" not "NoPassword". Just FYI, buddy.
- tigerbump, on 01/22/2008, -1/+3This company continues to improve 1Password. I can't imagine using my Mac without it, and the iPhone feature will greatly improve my iPhone experience.
I try to use 1Password's strong password generator to generate ridiculously long passwords, so it'd be great to have them autofill on my iPhone, since I can't remember them. If anything, this makes my login information more secure, since it's easy to have different passwords for everything. - darlyn, on 01/22/2008, -0/+2Can't wait for the windows version (no fanboyism/antifanboyism intended)!
- manitoba98xp, on 01/21/2008, -0/+1You could probably do it across multiple pages by making the bookmarklet copy to/paste from a web service (with AJAX). But it would still be constrained to Mobile Safari.
- skeen07, on 01/21/2008, -0/+1What would it be good for? The iPhone doesn't support copy and paste, yet. I'm sure someone could make a copy and paste utility that copies, and pastes within a single web page.
- ilgaz, on 01/22/2008, -0/+11Passwords insane speed of updates, fixes, new features happen thanks to Cocoa, new NeXT development model. Only comparable framework is openstep on Linux.

- dcharti, on 01/22/2008, -0/+1Aren't there a ton of password/identity managers for Windows? This is a genuine question, as I haven't used Windows or one of those apps on Windows in a while; are any of them decent?
- streak, on 01/21/2008, -0/+1Don't forget, 1Password is $20 less than the MacHeist bundle.
- BookmasterIce, on 01/23/2008, -0/+0thank god. i fill out forms for pages all the time on my touch.
- s0ldad0, on 01/23/2008, -1/+0Hurry up and crack 1.1.2 already....SIMunlock I mean.

- dmcbride6, on 01/21/2008, -16/+2Apple didnt do it probably because its a lawsuit waiting to happen.
Someone picks up your iphone after you already authenticated with the 1password app - free pickens for all your favorite private websites - banks and all. - andrewcsayer, on 01/21/2008, -19/+3So, if you lose you iphone, some dude can just pull up all your info, yeah? Is that it?
