- kzoopSF, on 06/09/2009, -1/+41Seems like an improvement for first-gen owners, but doesn't seem worth it for current 3G owners (like myself), IMHO
- coldeh, on 06/09/2009, -0/+3610 things clearly listed on the apple website about the NEW iPhone 3GS*
- Yousty, on 06/09/2009, -4/+26So it's somehow Apple and AT&T's fault that you ***** up your own credit? Not really seeing the connection there.
- Hercules, on 06/09/2009, -2/+19I got points 1-10 for two groups here:
1-10 for fanboys: Best thing since sliced bread.
1-10 for realists: Same thing as the last one, just faster and has a compass and video cam. - inactive, on 06/09/2009, -1/+15I still won't pay $100/mo to AT&T for cellphone service.
- bluehouse, on 06/09/2009, -1/+1311. Over-inflated sense of superiority
Which is great for me. I have a 3G and it only came with a regular sense of superiority. - CoD4, on 06/09/2009, -1/+11It has all the f stops and a wide angle lens that you can attach as well. Some filters can be added for extra money.
- KSUdesigner, on 06/09/2009, -2/+12If your credit is that bad, I don't think that buying an iPhone should be at the top of your priority list. Use that money to pay down your debt instead.
- matrage, on 06/09/2009, -2/+9Does anyone know if I can use it to make phone calls?
- Djerrid, on 06/09/2009, -0/+7It is in the UK.
- Thistlejack, on 06/09/2009, -0/+7I think that's point 1.
- dododohead, on 06/09/2009, -1/+8if your credit is shot you shouldn't even by owning an iphone...
- bluefuel318, on 06/09/2009, -5/+11Sorry, honey, but you didn't look too deep, did you? Most of that stuff was in the keynote.
- KrisStrong, on 06/09/2009, -0/+5Svelte Sexiness doesn't sound sexy.
- inactive, on 06/09/2009, -0/+5Mirror.co.uk is a UK site, so yeah, WWDC did take place last night.
- inactive, on 06/09/2009, -0/+4there's already a number eleven... and... what? Are we talking about the same "Diggers?"
- inactive, on 06/09/2009, -0/+4Correction: 10 things we already knew.
- Vulphaestion, on 06/09/2009, -0/+4FTA: "Apparently the iPhone 3G S has a highly-resistant finish to its body. Whereas the old iPhone 3G would succumb to those gadget kryptonites - water and oil - the new iPhone 3G S has a water- and oil-resistant body. Nice."
I could've sworn that only the screen, and not the body was "water and oil" resistant.
And I could've sworn all of these points were announced during the keynote? - tomazws, on 06/09/2009, -0/+4I love everything about the whole iPhone thing, except AT&T.
- KSUdesigner, on 06/09/2009, -1/+5I wouldn't even pay them $30/mo for their ***** service.
- Goallie11, on 06/09/2009, -0/+3Yes people who qualify for an upgrade can get it (16gb) for $199. If you don't qualify for an upgrade you have to pay the higher price.
- mymanwich, on 06/09/2009, -0/+3I'm pretty sure I knew all those things.
- InorganicMatter, on 06/09/2009, -0/+3My sentiments exactly. My 2G iPhone is getting really long in the tooth, so I'm much more excited for the 3GS than everyone else seems to be.
- inactive, on 06/09/2009, -1/+4"which is a godsend when you’ve only got a touchscreen to work with (no matter how good the iPhone’s is)."
Yeah the iPhone's is very good.

Direct copy from the article, WTF is doing on the front page, this article is garbage. - srodolff, on 06/09/2009, -2/+5It has Digital Turnip Twaddling.........FINALLY!!!
- jonathanseely, on 06/09/2009, -1/+4Thats what I was thinking too. I skipped getting one last go-around since I heard this would be out in July, but if I had gotten a 3G, I doubt I'd care about it.
- 07dcolem, on 06/09/2009, -1/+4Congratulations buddy you watched the 2 hour keynote last night too.
- athinnes, on 10/01/2009, -0/+3I don't get this. Why doesn't the 3G have this resistance? It isn't some new technology. Who decided, "Should we make the iPhone 3G water and oil resistant? Na."
- JohnnyDIGGme, on 06/09/2009, -2/+5Haha, I guess It's always someone else's fault.
- asgardshill, on 06/09/2009, -1/+3Don't the fanbois get tired of having to scrape Apple jizz off their tonsils every day?
- letdowntourist, on 06/09/2009, -0/+2Thanks for rubbing MMS in our (the US') face, O2.
- inactive, on 06/09/2009, -4/+611) Diggers appear to hate Apple :\
- MindStalker, on 06/09/2009, -0/+2Yes, you can even test out your qualifications by attempting to buy one at apple.com/iphone after you enter your old phone number (well before you confirm your purchase) it will tell you if you qualify for the 199 price or not.
- inactive, on 06/09/2009, -0/+2I just wanted to say. I am literally almost (I am sure I have mass competition) the biggest Mac fanboy ever. I have bought almost every product that Apple has come out shortly after their releases. I've waited in line for the last two iPhones for several hours.
I'll probably pass on this phone. - subliminalurge, on 06/09/2009, -0/+2I'll be upgrading, but as you said, I'm still carrying around my original 4GB 1st generation.
If I'd moved up to the 3G in the meantime, I doubt I'd be interested in this one. Although, the faster processor would still be appealing (and is the main reason I've finally decided that it's time for my original to be retired). - aoctavio, on 06/09/2009, -0/+1Wait... If it looks the same as the previous iPhone how will the new owners get the "I am better than you" feeling? Big mistake from Apple fan. What I like about Apple fan boys is that not a single one will feel the need to bury this comment...
- inactive, on 06/09/2009, -0/+1*makes a
- NoozeHound, on 06/09/2009, -0/+1Born yesterday department?
Yes?
Can I speak to dmark77.
Paaaalleeeeeeeeeeeezzzzzzz!
Every third item on the front page for the last month or so has been iPhone 3GS. - Maybe an exaggeration but you get the point. Hardly a place big fruit hating. Ha! Wait until Microsoft makesa phone you wanna see hating! - athinnes, on 10/01/2009, -0/+1So someone who buys an iPhone and uses it or holds it is a douchebag? You are just as bad as the Apple fanboys you ass hat.
- asgardshill, on 06/09/2009, -0/+1Into necro, eh? Pervert.
- wakingrufus, on 06/09/2009, -0/+1blackberry unlimited data plans are $20 a month + whatever minutes plan you chose with T-mobile
- inactive, on 06/09/2009, -0/+1I think I am going to have to ask for my ***** back, and go to slashdot for awhile.
Digg seems to have gone to metrosexual over the last year, and way less geek oriented. - tacojohn48, on 06/10/2009, -0/+1I remember my first digital camera was 3.1 megapixels. It was made by Kodak and used a battery that cost like $10. I really liked that camera.
- reverant, on 06/10/2009, -0/+1I'll get it as soon as I don't have to pay $400 for getting it early
- tacojohn48, on 06/10/2009, -0/+1There is indeed. There is a script for greasemonkey that will allow you to filter out any stories which contain certain words. I used it during the election to get rid of the huffington post.
- GreenAlien, on 06/09/2009, -0/+1Perhaps not all of the tabloid's readers have sat through the 2 hour keynote?
"10 things you didn't know about the iPhone 3GS unless you sat through the lengthy keynote" doesnt quite have the same ring to it. - inactive, on 06/09/2009, -0/+1There was already a #11 in the article!
- milkmage, on 06/09/2009, -0/+1except for the features in 3.0 that can't be used on the older CPU like voice dialing.
- jimmyb3, on 06/09/2009, -0/+1I've got the 3G, but I ordered a 3GS. The hardware speed improvements alone would do it for me. My only gripe about my 3G is that it gets poky and lags/sticks too often. I am also looking forward to increased Net speed once AT&T starts rolling out its 7.2 mb network later this year.
- MindStalker, on 06/09/2009, -0/+1Also if your less than 1.5 years into your contract you have to pay $200 extra. So really ALL 3G owners will need to wait for now. Most owners before that should be fine as few people bought the first-gen just a few months before the 3G was released.
