- Stelex, on 10/12/2007, -6/+15That's because many Windows users are reading and digging Mac stuff, getting ready for the switch.
- Splizxer, on 10/12/2007, -2/+10The PC users are too busy playing games to bury Apple threads.
- Stelex, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6Here are some cool things out of the box Mac can do:
http://www.silvermac.com/2006/cool-things-you-can-do-on-mac/ - Query, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7These links suck. When it said "10 Ways to /Trick/ out Your Mac," I thought that it actually meant tricking it out, not just some misleading title bringing me to to this person's "My Favorite Apps" list.
- Splizxer, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4The only thing on my PC that has ad's is quicktime.
- punkrockxtian, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3I was thinking more on hardware mods, like neon lighting and case mods on PCs.
- Ignignokt01, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Yes, 'laughed out loud'. Have you been under a rock for the past few years?
- Ignignokt01, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3"That's because many Windows users are reading and digging Mac stuff, getting ready for the switch."
I lol'd. Any person who has learned how to fix all the bugs found in Windows and live happily ever after would have no reason to ever buy a mac. Once you get a few extra programs and a virus scanner, and you disable a few Windows utilities, you're in a very comfortable position. - MariusTh, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Perhaps not build in, but the Mac's GUI can be customized with Unsanity's Shapeshifter
- Rez_Ot4ku, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2I was really hoping this article would talk about modding (more than neon lights and a window on the side of the case), a la www.macmod.com. I haven't found a lot of info on this particular subject yet. I'd LOVE to get Front Row running on my Powermac G5. Older Macs make great machines for modding. OS X runs good on old hardware and people generally don't lose interest in old Mac hardware as fast as an they would an HP Pavilion for example. I've been searching for something to do with a Powermac G3 I've got...
- nixdoctor, on 10/12/2007, -4/+5This shows mac users like their macs more than pc users like their *doze *puters.
- rabbitofdeath, on 10/12/2007, -6/+6I like to think that really every OS has its place in the world. At work and at home I use both a PC and a Mac, and I love each machine - they have their strengths and weaknesses but it never hurts to have both.
- saggygrandma, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1You "lol'd"?.......................
- saggygrandma, on 10/12/2007, -3/+3Thank you for the links!
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2You don't need a hammer for your mac to be a doorstop..

- Bokista, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1I'm going to lower mine three inches, put Dubs on its low-pro feet, add a roll bar, and get some Bomex body work done.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -4/+3It's because there are a hell of a lot of Mac users on digg who like to digg pro-mac stuff and bury anti-mac stuff.
- theamazingboo, on 10/12/2007, -5/+4pretty need apps, two i haven't heard of.

On Macs there is no way to make system wide changes to teh gui, or even change the theme (apart from changing between aqua and graphite). Linux (distros) on the other hand has built in theme and icon customisation.

- rushiku, on 10/12/2007, -5/+1What? No Mac cozy? No 8x10 sticker of Jobs' mug? No RSS reader hardcoded to only read the latest Apple news?
Lame. - suede, on 10/12/2007, -5/+0rabbitofdeath, thank you for your attitude. netroid... you are too cynical for your own good.
*OH god just realised I replied to the one above i meant to... sorry everyone! - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -6/+1all you need to trick out your mac is a hammer, instant door stop!
- theRIAA, on 10/12/2007, -6/+1i put wheels on mine, so i could roll it out into the street on garbage day

- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -8/+1No, it really isn't.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -18/+11I'm starting to think the number of front paged digg stories related to mac submitted on a daily bases outnumber the actual number of mac users out there.
- hodyoaten, on 10/12/2007, -8/+1Great, now I'm reminded of that old Saturn commercial... "dude! how'd you trick out the door?"
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -10/+1"Vista? Ha! You mean Mac OS X 10.1? You have a little bit too much faith in Microsoft."
Silly. Third parties actually make things for windows.
/troll giggity giggity - mywhitenoise, on 10/12/2007, -16/+6Vista? Ha! You mean Mac OS X 10.1? You have a little bit too much faith in Microsoft.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -15/+4Que the hourde of people saying 'Macs suck', 'Macs are great' and 'Linux is better than everything'.
- rabbitofdeath, on 10/12/2007, -21/+2Macs suck!
Linux sucks!
Windows sucks!
Macs are better than everything!
Vista will crush everything!
