- foili, on 10/12/2007, -5/+39Finally a list without the same 10 apps on it...
- Aleks, on 10/12/2007, -5/+27Then ***** Block the APPLE CATEGORY!
- FACT, on 10/12/2007, -2/+22i'd rather have a list of the top 10 FREE apps for mac os... i don't need any of those enough to pay money for them but i'd probably use some of them if they were free.
- TheSalmonThief, on 10/12/2007, -0/+15Yeah, I know... I'm tired of seeing top 10's with Delicious Library, Transmission, App Zapper... etc.
- commongiga, on 10/12/2007, -6/+16these all sound great. i wish i could afford to pay for all of them.
- williamw, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8Wallet!
- KSUdesigner, on 10/12/2007, -3/+10And thus begins the turn off your apple category flow.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8And thus begins your heavy flow.
- hookshotzz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6i like it, i've only used 2 of the 10. i like freeware though....
- TheZetetic, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Quicksilver is an essential app and I love it. However, the linked list is a decent list; it reveals lesser known apps.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5who cares - you saw the title and decided to click it!! ffs!
- felis, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4I read an article about oranges, even though I hate oranges, and felt the need to comment that I hate oranges, even though I've never eaten an orange.
- ronaldpoi, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4I usually don't like this kind of lists but it's true they gives us the opportunity to meet new applications. I like SpamSieve... i have to stop all that junk
- kentaro42, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5This is a cool list..... http://www.adiumx.com/ is an awesome messaging client that can connect to most networks.... and http://www.civilnetizen.com is another mac app which you can transfer 4GB with your friends....
- Scatropolis, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Am I the only one that thinks having a laptop in the kitchen with you is a bad idea?
- eventualbuddha, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2What is the benefit of Wallet over Keychain?
- macaddct1984, on 10/12/2007, -5/+7Quicksilver.

'Nuff said. - flashboy131, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2one every week. are you new?

- mwosh, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2It's become fairly clear that OS X Apps need better advertising strategies. Why does everyone think you need to have these top ten lists with the same 10 all the time.
- gravis86, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3There is, just as there is Mil-Spec bulletproof vests, Mil-Spec hard anodized coatings, Mil-Spec fasteners, etc.
- DooDooFace, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2It depends if there's a limited demo or not
- devilshark, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1tru dat
- dalesmatrix, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1nice to see some more obscure apps on this list, garagesale looks interesting to me. I know I know, ebay isn't exactly hard as it is, but easier is always better right.
- TheMacThinker, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1There is so much more than just those listed. I like to focus on all the things you can actually do with Mac OS X right out of the box...
------------
http://www.mostofmymac.com - shayanoh, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1It's kind'a a little easier... I'd go for it if it were free, but to pay for something OSX already has...
- tyroga, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Awesome list, I love paparazzi and didn't know about it before!
- freonchill, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2how many $20-30 each "must have apps lists" are we gonna get for mac os-x here?
- JuyLe, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Wow the first of this week ! Anyway, 1 or 2 interesting....
- Linh, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2KeePassX is a good free alternative to wallet. Not as OSX like in interface, but it's crossplatform with KeePass. Makes it a lot easier if you're dual booting/dual OSing.
ChronoSync looks like exactly what I want, but anyone have any other alternatives.. either cheaper or free?
GarageSale looks pretty cool if I actually profited on ebay. - zmigliozzi, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2agree, the only one im somewhat liking is the webdesktop, since a baby 12" g4 pbook needs all the space it can get.
- blakholephysics, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2I learned something new. I never knew about garage sale or paparazzi. Those two interest me.
- rdoger6424, on 10/12/2007, -3/+4"who the hell dugg this? Who is this... sballmer... bgates... oh god"
- jediorange, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1It's called AES
- chknapp, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Great list! - As a Power-user I finally found som apps I didn't know about.
- npulido, on 10/12/2007, -3/+3http://macnewsonline.com/wp/the-ultimate-mac-add-ons-list/
- therocketman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Good list that - particularly like WebDesktop and Paparazzi, neither of which I had heard of before. Refreshing does of original reporting of stuff, rather than the copy ca stuff you'll see at MacCentral
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0All combined more expensive than a Vista home basic!
- crazybrit, on 10/12/2007, -4/+3Let's see how many diggs a "Top 10 Windows Apps" story gets!
- lemieuski, on 10/12/2007, -4/+3More than half of those programs have free counterparts out there on the web... oh, and some have been embedded in the other operating systems for years... (IE WEBDESKTOP=ACTIVE DESKTOP)
Don't for get that some of those things, like garage sale, just seem like programs for lazy people.
I want digg to have more technological relevant stuff, not "Nifty Programs for my MAC :)" or "Some REALLY REALLY cool video I found on YOUTUBE" - etherbob, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1Apparently it's not a good thing to not like the new Bond flick, but I felt it was about 45 minutes longer than it needed to be. The Hold 'em tournament seemed like pandering to me and I also found it hard to believe Craig as Bond. Honestly I didn't hate the flick. There were parts that were great, I just didn't like it much as a part of the Bond franchise. That said, I haven't seen a good _Bond_ film since Goldeneye.
- cuzican, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1I have seen youtube send legal letters to others about tools that let you download their videos.. Yet Democracy says this on their front page.."Download and save videos from YouTube, Google Video, Yahoo Video, and other sites.".. I wonder if they will be getting a letter soon..
- crazybrit, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1It will revolutionize the way you think about computers!
- JGuest, on 10/12/2007, -14/+9http:///www.duggmirror.com
- cobr@, on 10/12/2007, -6/+1why are there never any really nice free apps for osX
- riancurtis, on 10/12/2007, -6/+1let me know when this stuff is free and more interesting
- nazzdeq, on 10/12/2007, -5/+0Great personal information database to store sensitive data like credit card #'s, website passwords, etc is info.xhead http://www.xheadsoftware.com/info_xhead.asp
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -6/+1buried as spam. typical fanboy *****.
- mikeazorin, on 10/12/2007, -8/+2well, paying for mac shareware is sorta more of a suggestion than a requirement.
- kronicoutkast, on 10/12/2007, -13/+6"What you should be using is Waterfall Software’s Wallet. It offers military-strength 448-bit encryption to store..."
There is no such thing as military-strength encryption.... -
