- streak, on 12/13/2007, -0/+173wouldn't a simple metal detector suffice to identify the prize-winning popsicles to buy?
- andrewcsayer, on 12/13/2007, -3/+126Some idiot out there will complain to the consumerist how he nearly choked to death after discovering "a shard of plastic and wire" in their icy pole.
- dvsbastard, on 12/13/2007, -5/+117iPodsicle?!
- relaxeder, on 04/17/2009, -0/+97Nothing can possibly go wrong here.
- WKUHilltopper, on 12/13/2007, -1/+51My ipod pretty much stays frozen all the time and I don't even need a Popsicle....
- kakwakas, on 12/13/2007, -1/+48This is in Brazil, not sue-happy America.
- isewise, on 12/13/2007, -0/+38Internet to the rescue!:

So all you have to do it make the metal detector, and spend all day digging through the frozen treats section of your grocery. - rebelrogue995, on 12/13/2007, -1/+35"And the final touch: they will get a real popsicle in the package"
They're going to mail a frozen popsicle? All the intelligence used to box up a shuffle in freezing temperatures, and they're gonna mail a cold ice pop to the customer via UPS? The customer will get a charger, manual, and sugary syrupy soup. - weeman43302, on 12/13/2007, -0/+32Did you read the article? It says that the popsicle that has the iPod in it isn't real. Although i could see some idiot thinking it is...
- Spamcan, on 12/13/2007, -2/+25They go through all this trouble to create a fake popsicle to put the iPod in but you can't put music on it or charge it without waiting for them to mail you the cable? Sounds kind of silly to me. Why wouldn't they just create a fake iPod and put it in a real popsicle if you can't use it right away?
- starkruzr, on 12/13/2007, -1/+21Yes.
- alexkrycek, on 12/13/2007, -0/+20I wonder what the weight difference would be.
- alexkrycek, on 12/13/2007, -0/+20*sigh*
- nakile, on 12/13/2007, -3/+20So, what's with the shower heads?
- lgoose, on 12/13/2007, -0/+17Dude, I live here, and you can find these popsicles everywhere they cost around 1 USD and are fairly good, there are about 8 different flavours and they already are one of the most popular popsicle around... now with this giveaway the sales are gonna go through the roof ... just to remember, in Brazil the iPods are more expensive than anywhere else .. http://www.pmptoday.com/2007/10/05/brazil-is-the-m ...
- Spamcan, on 12/13/2007, -1/+15Only the first generation shuffles do that, the current model uses the connector port as the rest of the iPods.
- capiCrimm, on 12/13/2007, -0/+14God damnit! My popsicle tastes like plastic.
- inactive, on 12/13/2007, -0/+12They aren't in real pop sickles, they are in a special pop sickle shaped casing. I would hope people would notice the difference...
- capiCrimm, on 12/13/2007, -0/+12yes, perhaps a coupon would have sufficed.
- probrian, on 12/13/2007, -4/+16I did thanks,
it was a joke... - thebrawl, on 12/13/2007, -0/+12I would sure be disappointed if I spent good money on a popsicle and found a damn iPod in there
- bbqsalad, on 12/13/2007, -1/+12Those popsicles looks good too!
- adrenaline33, on 12/13/2007, -8/+19I'd rather have a whole popsicle to eat than an ipod shuffle..
- pyrotix, on 12/13/2007, -1/+11Murphy was an optimist.
- savethemooses, on 12/13/2007, -3/+13I'd buy it for the nifty fake popsicle but iPod shuffles suck.
- mikemil828, on 12/13/2007, -0/+10It might (though how much metal do you think is really inside a shuffle?) if it wasn't for the fact that the entire freezer is probably metal and thus would kinda throw off your search.
- THETEH, on 12/13/2007, -11/+20How about a popsicle with a car inside?
- JudgeMonkey, on 12/13/2007, -0/+8You could sell the shuffle along with the custom popsicle shaped case and use that to buy a ton more.
- probrian, on 12/13/2007, -13/+21why would i want a frozen iPod i want one that works
- JudgeMonkey, on 12/13/2007, -0/+8It's an even "cooler" (ugh) idea after you read the article and discover why that couldn't happen.
- iRaachie, on 12/13/2007, -0/+7I fuggen love it when people blindly comment without reading the actual article!
FAKE PLASTIC POPSICLE. - codewater, on 12/13/2007, -0/+7"your extremely dumb" - oh the irony :) Not to mention that you are also ignoring proper use of commas and periods.
- t0ken, on 12/13/2007, -0/+7Is that the name of the new Radiohead single?
- PathDaemon, on 12/13/2007, -0/+7Actually, they use the headphone jack. Even stranger.
- inactive, on 12/13/2007, -0/+6They send you a replacement popsicle when you send off for your charger
- relaxeder, on 04/17/2009, -3/+9I didn't rtfa and I could smell the joke.
- vwvan, on 12/13/2007, -8/+13Popsicles in Brazil? Won't they melt?
- CaptnHector, on 12/13/2007, -0/+5What if you really really wanted a popsicle and that was the last one? I might be a bit disappointed.
- Marshalrusty, on 12/13/2007, -0/+5This is my problem with Apple's following. Most people don't go around pointing out their favorite advertisements.
- GliTCH82, on 12/13/2007, -0/+5***** it, go buy a damn cable if you can't wait to use it.
- mikemil828, on 12/13/2007, -0/+5read the article
- Goombellaofgoom, on 12/13/2007, -0/+4Oh boy, now you've done it...
- inactive, on 12/13/2007, -0/+4Wow, where were you for the last 15 months?
The shuffle does NOT plug into your computer. - Ans3r, on 12/13/2007, -0/+4Nothing like living in brazil :D
- Grummond, on 12/13/2007, -0/+4someone went to America and bought a fridge
- Ru55, on 12/13/2007, -0/+4A device used for cutting fathers.
- mciampa1214, on 12/13/2007, -1/+5Tell us... what is it like living under a rock?
- 2winhe1ix, on 12/13/2007, -0/+4Agreed... Scale or metal detector would do the trick!
- Mysrt, on 12/13/2007, -0/+3are you kidding? if you had a magnet strong enough to get that small amount of metal to attract, the magnet would destroy the shuffle before you got it out of the popsicle
- GliTCH82, on 12/13/2007, -0/+3"It works like this: the consumer buys an Fruttare popsicle which comes in 10 different fruit flavors," Neto told us, "and may find an iPod Shuffle inside the package," ready to play.
Article says they're ready to play, so what the *****? -
