- Aitese, on 12/04/2008, -0/+4Please...the accelerometer only solves the problem of replacing the d pad (and one that means MUCH less control than anyone is used to) but tapping on the screen not only does not make up for the missing 4-6 buttons needed for other games, but gets in the way of your game. It's in no way a replacement.

- CptnEvilStomper, on 12/04/2008, -1/+1Couldn't a game designer just section off a few areas of the touch screen as "buttons" to make up for the fact that it doesn't have physical buttons? I'm not an iPhone developer so maybe there's some huge obstacle I'm not aware of but it seems like a pretty simple fix. Besides, who would put a d-pad and buttons on a phone? Nokia tried that with the N-Gage (the taco phone) and we all know how well that worked out.
