- skteoievtehr, on 05/13/2008, -15/+6I'm sure all these people in different countries are intimately aware of Ron Paul's extreme popularity in the US, considering almost no one here knows who he is. Doesn't look like a very reputable survey method.
- V3n0M, on 05/13/2008, -4/+18It's not a matter of knowing how popular he is or not, it's a matter of knowing his policy and choosing the best candidate. Looks like they got it right.
- thedamian1, on 05/13/2008, -2/+13Actually it's using the IP address. Now I know the IP City sometimes is off (and even the state) but never the country.
- Todash19, on 05/14/2008, -2/+9Very cool site.
I like how John McCain is missing from the majority of the countries, - stienster, on 05/15/2008, -3/+21Most countries voted Ron Paul!
- diskit, on 07/21/2008, -2/+6And on an internet poll!
Amazing!
- diskit, on 07/21/2008, -2/+6And on an internet poll!
- ciaran036, on 05/18/2008, -3/+16Ron Paul FTW! From N.Ireland / United Kingdom!
- flyinlizzy, on 05/25/2008, -8/+4I love how the US voted for Ron Paul by so much more than the others! Seems Barack is coming up second. Maybe Ron Paul can convert Barack's politics and take him as his VP!!!
- diskit, on 07/21/2008, -2/+7Yeah, good luck with that.
*rolleyes*
- diskit, on 07/21/2008, -2/+7Yeah, good luck with that.
- DragonGirl724, on 06/14/2008, -4/+17Ron Paul in the White House or this country is as good as dead and the rest of the world will be completely ***** too!
Obama is a troll! votesmart.com read his voting record he voted to make Patriot Act permanate in 3/2006!! HR3199 goddamnit people wake up! Obama supporters are the worst!- Sanctums, on 06/14/2008, -10/+7As opposed to the internet gestapo known as the Paulistinians. Yeah, the obama supporters are certainly the worst.
- Sanctums, on 06/14/2008, -10/+7As opposed to the internet gestapo known as the Paulistinians. Yeah, the obama supporters are certainly the worst.
- Silvbird, on 07/20/2008, -3/+7Before I even read this I'm going to chuck this comment in cos I just watched this and wondered why Barack Obama don't sound like it. This is the kind of guy that I'd vote for; former UN Weapons Inspector, Scott Ritter &
A combat veteran speaks
brasschecktv.com — Yellow ribbons - Good, goose-stepping Americans put them on their cars to "support the troops." How about supporting the troops by making sure they're not sent to die in illegal, ill-conceived wars waged by lying psychopaths?
http://www.brasschecktv.com/page/372.html - HumanCattle, on 07/21/2008, -5/+14Overwhelmingly RON PAUL
Great stuff!- diskit, on 07/22/2008, -2/+2Ron Paul fans... on the internet?!?
I am shocked.
SHOCKED!
- diskit, on 07/22/2008, -2/+2Ron Paul fans... on the internet?!?
- jcm267, on 07/21/2008, -16/+11Buried as inaccurate.
- ciaran036, on 07/21/2008, -5/+13?? How?
And can we get a positive comment for once?- jcm267, on 07/21/2008, -9/+10Ummm... how about since it's completely unscientific? The web page there was spammed by Ron Paul supporters. The world would elect Obama if it had to choose between the candidates listed. The USA would elect either McCain or Obama.
- ciaran036, on 07/21/2008, -6/+9Well I can see a lot more Ron Paul supporters than Obama supporters, can't you? These are supporters from ALL OVER THE WORLD.
- HumanCattle, on 07/22/2008, -5/+7"The web page there was spammed by Ron Paul supporters. "
LOL conspiracy theorists.
Why can't you just accept that freedom is popular, jcm267? People in the rest of the world are not inundated with your ridiculous media propaganda 24/7 and are in a much better position to judge the real positions and platforms of your candidates. And the only hope for the future of your country, from their perspective, is someone like Ron Paul. - jcm267, on 07/22/2008, -7/+7Laugh at me all you want, Cow, but I have evidence of Ronbots gaming web sites while you have zero evidence of the existence of your little NWO conspiracy. Show me scientific polling data that supports your assertion that the world prefers Ron Paul over Obama.
- HumanCattle, on 07/22/2008, -6/+8Zero evidence of the existence of the New World Order?
Please read this brief, 1026-page document by CFR historian and Clinton mentor Prof. Carroll Quigley detailing the Anglo-American establishment of the New World Order system of global governance, eat a dick, and then get back to me:
http://digg.com/political_opinion/Tragedy_and_Hope ...
I know you won't even look at the evidence in order to debunk it however. So just continue to put your hands over your eyes and block your ears and yell LA LA LA NOT LISTENING. - card51short, on 07/22/2008, -6/+7hahaha conspiracy nut jcm is at it again.
Where did you acquire your "evidence", JCM?
Are you privy to top secret documents since you enlisted to help defend AMERICA!!!! against JIHAD and the "leftist controlled media"?
Hahah tin foil moonbat. - jcm267, on 07/22/2008, -5/+6OK, cow. I'm a busy guy. If you really have evidence there could you point to the more pertinent parts of that document?
- Herkimer56, on 07/22/2008, -5/+5You're assuming that he actually read the thing, jcm. I really don't think that's very likely.
- jcm267, on 07/23/2008, -5/+4Well, since I'm mutual friends with Cow, I'm going to shout this post to him to make sure that he doesn't miss it.
- HumanCattle, on 07/23/2008, -5/+5Herkimer56: noone cares what you think.
jcm256: you don't seem too busy to me, since you're here on digg antagonizing your political enemies 12 hours a day.
Try reading the last 50 pages or so. Personally, I'm waiting for the graphic novel. - jcm267, on 07/23/2008, -4/+7My day today, just for my little "friend" Cow.
645 - Woke up at my house. ***** Shower Shave. Dress. Made lunch, made fruit smoothie for breakfast, fed cat, filled my travel mug with water, got in car by 7:30
730-815 - Driving. Listened to local talk radio show until ***** Massachusetts lite rock station's signal overwhelmed it. It's a good show, moderate politically and more into pop-culture *****. Kinda like a moderate Laura Ingraham show. Then switched to Providence news radio. This show sucks.
815 - got to work early, said hello to whoever happened to be there, got to my cube, started up my computer. Played on digg.
830-1230 - I had work to do. Checked digg, nytimes.com, google news, espn, and local news sporadically.
1230-1 - lunch
1-5 - Same as 830-1230
5-515 - worked late, pain in the ass customer.
515-6 - Drove home. Listened to the Sean Hannity Show. Hannity's guest was some guy who was yapping about why he thinks that the government is out to get you. He did mention a person who I know, Susie Kelo, several times. I always find that cool.
6-645ish - Stop at my grandmother's house. She's sick, and there are like 4 others over there. My mom made dinner (yay!) from the vegetables from the garden and some chicken. Played on digg while eating/talking/helping grandmother.
645ish-8 - I only got this much time to work in the garden. In July this isn't a lot of time, but I suppose I could've chipped away from the 6-645 block for more garden time. I performed a quick and dirty weeding of my onion patch, skipped weeding the strawberries. Picked squash and tomatoes. The cukes, eggplant, and peppers are all good to be picked but I didn't bother with it today. I did water the peppers and eggplant. My uncle has "taken charge" of the corn, so I leave it alone. Picked blueberries from whenever until 8.
8-815 - played on digg, helped grandmother move to the bathroom, discussed whats going on with the people there. Left grandmothers and went to my house.
817-825 - quick shower and change into gym attire
825-840 - drive to gym, listen to "The Savage Nation"
840 - 10 - gym .. I like to shoot for 1.5-2 hours, but usually it winds up like this. Listened to "Nevermind" by Nirvana and then part of "Band on the Run" by Paul McCartney and Wings
10 - 1030 errands on the way back from gym made me take a longer time. Listened to Coast to Coast, featuring some idiot talking about how he spent years living without shelter like our ancestors did thousands of years ago and who said that there are domed structures on the moon.
1030 - arrived at my grandmother's house. My brother and I alternate overnights waking when she needs to get out of bed (which can be often). I'm here tonight, corresponding with your sorry ass.
- I have had no time for any sort of a social life, much less entertaining your pathetic theories about the "global elites". Now please, you're going to have to be a little less vague about where your "proof" is. - ssn697, on 07/23/2008, -1/+6Nice post Joe. Only in the freaky world of Paulie land do people Digg something like that down.
I don't think I have ever told you how much I think of your devotion to your grandmother. Truly touching, and says a whole lot about you as a person.
Well *****. I just teared up over I guy I never met, and his devotion to his family...
We may disagree on some things (with you being right quite a bit!), but I have the utmost respect for how you handle yourself. - jcm267, on 07/23/2008, -3/+6Trust me.. if anyone is devoted to her it's my mom. I'm just on the side, doing what I do. I kinda fell into doing this as I had taken the summer off after college and was free to help with her as she was at a low point. She was doing better, but things have taken a negative turn in recent months.
If it wasn't for my mom not having a job (she'd have sold the house and moved down to some southern state where my dad can practice law without having to take the individual state's bar exam, having already passed CT's bar exam) and doing this full-time I would've been stuck at my dead-end 2nd shift job that I left for the best pay cut I've taken yet since everyone else either goes to school or works 1st shift.
My new job is in a professional development program that keeps me busy most of the time. I can't spend the same amount of time using digg from work. Not that I want to. There's more to life than pestering the troof brigade. - HumanCattle, on 07/23/2008, -6/+3Thanks for the update, joe. I'm just adding some new columns to my jcm267 table to capture all this info.
Say hi to your Corn Uncle for me. - jcm267, on 07/23/2008, -2/+7You're pathetically creepy, cow.
- btschul, on 07/21/2008, -6/+10Haha I buried YOU as inaccurate. How Is this inacurate? Are you saying it is rigged? You don't like the results, therefore it is inacurate? Why don't you just go away for a while and come back when you get a clue.
- jcm267, on 07/21/2008, -8/+11I'm saying that it's unscientific and most likely rigged by Ronbots, you moron. Do you have any scientific polling data that supports your fantasies?
- Hortnon, on 07/21/2008, -6/+12The fact that it lists Paul at all. If they're going to list candidates no longer in the running, they should have a full list...
- btschul, on 07/21/2008, -6/+7It's rigged because Ron Paul has more loyal supporters than all the rest? That was sort of the point, to see who has the most supporters, wasn't it?
- onetimer, on 07/21/2008, -9/+11Hey btschul, perhaps you missed the memo, but those internet polls proved to be ***** after paul got his ass kicked in the primaries, remember?
This "would would the world elect" is a glorified internet poll, which someone with a simple script could easily rig. All it goes to show is that paul has the most internet spammers.
But continue to laude them. I'll enjoy laughing my ASS off just like I did when paul got his ass handed to him in the primaries, when the internet polls were first shown to be garbage. - diskit, on 07/21/2008, -10/+8It's a ***** internet poll, how accurate does anyone think it will actually be?
Buried for inaccuracy and Paultard spam. - sugarazor, on 07/21/2008, -7/+8"Ron Paul has more loyal supporters than all the rest"
Funniest thing I've read all day. - btschul, on 07/21/2008, -7/+5What the hell do you have against Ron Paul?
- sugarazor, on 07/21/2008, -7/+9I really don't have anything against Ron Paul... it's his supporters I can't stand. Mainly because they say things like "Ron Paul has more loyal supporters than all the rest."
Have you heard of Hillary Clinton? Love her, hate her, agree with her or disagree with her, she has more loyal supporters than probably all other previous candidates combined (excluding Obama). - ciaran036, on 07/21/2008, -4/+7No onetimer - all the IP addresses have been verified. And we know that the only reason Ron Paul never made it through is because the mainstream media ignored him.
- onetimer, on 07/21/2008, -5/+7No, ciarian036, I was able to cast a vote claiming I was a sweed. The IP addresses serve as merely a tool for the site to *guess* where you are from, but the ultimate choice is yours.
Regardless, a script that connected through various formal proxies could accomplish the same thing if in fact Ip addresses were enforced.
Notice how this site is discredited by an actual *scientific* poll:
http://www.rightonblog.net/2008/05/obama-beats-mcc ...
Keep using that old debunked "omg media blackout" excuse if you want. I mean, ever since hillary and giuliani won just like the media said they would last year, they've done nothing but pick the candidates... - card51short, on 07/22/2008, -4/+8"But continue to laude them. I'll enjoy laughing my ASS off just like I did when paul got his ass handed to him in the primaries, when the internet polls were first shown to be garbage."
This is fun and entertainment to onetimer.
You ask how he has this much time to devote to entertainment? I guarantee he spends his whole life either :
a) playing video games
b) watching movies
c) watching TV
He will deny it...but he knows inside this is all he really does. So, like most yuppies, he's going to scream and shout at you for telling him that things are bad. As long as he's living in Disneyland, he's going to call you an idiot until we are proved right.
Then he is going to say he knew the whole time and it's all good.
It's a sick, sick, twisted mental disorder I haven't been able to figure out yet.
These people literally take HOURS out of our day to point and call us names.
It would be like the Yankees following the Royals around alllllllll day pointing and laughing at them for never winning.
After the 100th day or so (the deniers have been trolling digg and OBSESSING over 9/11 for almost 2 years straight now), it becomes apparent who the real insane losers are.
Oh well, he'll see someday soon ;) - onetimer, on 07/22/2008, -5/+4"card51short:
13.5 posts per day"
I love how every time carD thinks he is smart enough to play psychiatrist and go "OMGUSPENDTIMEON DIGGLOL" all I have to do is that he spends more time than us and he scurries away! Not to mention he already admitted to being an active LC member / "infowarrior"!
CarD, look up http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Psychological_project ... , because anyone willing to go into that much detail isn't just a hypocrite such as yourself, but has problems of your own...
- ciaran036, on 07/21/2008, -5/+13?? How?
- onetimer, on 07/21/2008, -11/+9Oh yeah, a self selecting internet poll which you get to *choose* what country you're from. And look, paul is winning, what a surprise...
It's sad that they think spamming a poll like this will convince people that he's having any kind of success.- rexblade, on 07/23/2008, -2/+2God yer such a bitter little thing.
- thedamian1, on 07/27/2008, -0/+3Actually because you didn't check the system reports how many people CHANGED the vote from what their IP says, and the number of people that changed (or LIE as you would think) is less than 5%.
Sorry onetimer; People are not as evil as you think they are. Sorry to disappoint you ;-)
- MarkEarhart, on 07/21/2008, -4/+7Good to see Ron Paul doing so well. I was however pissed to see Barr was listed but Cynthia McKinney wasn't.
- ciaran036, on 07/22/2008, -4/+4The ultimate choice is yours, but the website does keep a count of where the IP address differs from the country the person says they are from. That count is in the very low percentages. I am one of them, because the IP address thingy put me down as 'European Union' rather than 'United Kingdom'. So you were able to cast a vote as being a Swede. But you can look at the voting numbers which DON'T include votes from people who have claimed location different to what the IP address said. There is little difference when we look at these votes.
- JohnReb, on 07/22/2008, -2/+4One simple fact destroys all the credibility of the poll and it makes any concerns about IP completely irrelevant.
It is self-selecting. The participants decide to answer on their own. There is no attempt by the pollsters to select a valid representative sampling.
Therefore, as you will learn in any first year statistics course, the poll has absolutely no value in predicting what the actual outcome would be.- ciaran036, on 07/23/2008, -3/+2Obviously, but that is not the point that was being made. The point being made is that the mainstream media have ignored Ron Paul. That's why internet polls like this one show Ron Paul in the lead. It was the same on 'Digg the Candidates' too (only it is now Obama, since Ron Paul dropped out).
- JohnReb, on 07/23/2008, -1/+3It is the point if you think the fact Ron Paul's "success" in on-line polls means he had enough support to show up on the MSM radar at anytime in his campaign.
In actual scientific polls he consistantly polled at or below the margin of error, until he was the only trailing candidate still on the ballot. And even then, when he should have been able to garner the "anyone but McCain"crowd, he barely broke double digits.
The only thing an on-line poll proves is the lack of mathematical comprehension of those who believe it proves anything else. - thedamian1, on 07/27/2008, -0/+1If you bothered to look the information of how many people change country from the one provided by their IP (which is selected for them...or did you where you so ignorant that your country was the default even though it wasn't the first one the list...)
If you look at the number of people that have changed their country. It's less than 5%.
So...as you put it. "as you will learn in any first year statistics course" is that you will obviously have to ignore at least that much anyways.
Sorry my friend, your wrong and your own words prove it.
- onetimer, on 07/23/2008, -2/+3Ok, even if that is true, anyone could *easily* make a script that connects through foreign proxies (and there are plenty of sites that post proxies and the nation in which they are located) to vote for Paul.
This of course doesn't even touch on the "self selection bias" that has been pointed out to you multiple times...
It is no good.- ciaran036, on 07/23/2008, -3/+2What are you talking about? Maybe you were blind or something but Ron Paul was the favourite on Digg too before he dropped out - check up on the statistics of 'Digg the Candidates' a little while back and you'll see again that obviously the poll is correct.
- JohnReb, on 07/23/2008, -1/+3"Digg the Candidates" is an on-line self-selecting poll.
Guess how accurately it reflects the real standings of the candidates even among Diggers. - Herkimer56, on 07/23/2008, -2/+3Ron Paul was never the favorite on Digg. He was simply the most spammed candidate.
- JohnReb, on 07/22/2008, -2/+4One simple fact destroys all the credibility of the poll and it makes any concerns about IP completely irrelevant.
- diskit, on 07/22/2008, -1/+5I like how you can choose what country you're from so that internet trolls can pretend to be foreigners.
- thedamian1, on 07/27/2008, -0/+2Look at the page that shows how many people have changed their country.
It's less than 5%
Unlike you, most people don't seem to want to pretend they're not from the country they live in.
It's amazing that everyone's proud to be from their own country isn't it...WOoooooow...
- thedamian1, on 07/27/2008, -0/+2Look at the page that shows how many people have changed their country.
- ssn697, on 07/23/2008, -1/+4Outstanding! This Montanan just pretended to by from Thailand, and voted for Romney. SCIENTIFIC SURVEY FTW!!!!!!
- thedamian1, on 07/27/2008, -0/+1Congratulations, you are now part of the 5% of people that care more about lying instead of your political views.
But then again...you are from montana. I think that's punishment enough.
- thedamian1, on 07/27/2008, -0/+1Congratulations, you are now part of the 5% of people that care more about lying instead of your political views.
- OnePurpose, on 09/05/2008, -0/+2I love this. Not because I think it's totally accurate, but because it shows that you don't have to vote for a mainstream candidate to make your vote count. I'm tired of people telling me that I waste my vote if I don't vote for Obama or McCain. What a joke! I think it's truly wasting my vote to support someone that I don't completely agree with or can not respect.
- JohnTitor01, on 09/05/2008, -0/+2Please SHOUT and spead this world message.....people ARE waking up.
- ndrehobl, on 09/06/2008, -0/+1why is ron paul on this website if he isn't running anymore...? i love ron paul but since i am voting for bob barr, i clicked bob barrs name.
