- Mechmuertos, on 04/11/2008, -1/+12Hey I'm really glad to find out someone's vote 1000 times more important than my own. Thanks DNC!

- domainlovah, on 04/12/2008, -1/+1Good post. Here's a great video that helps to explain it even more..
http://thecandidacy.com/2008/02/10/super-delegates ... - InRussetShadows, on 04/12/2008, -1/+7I'd like to see the Dems reform their candidate selection process to accurately reflect and value the votes of their party members. Are they afraid that the primary voters won't pick someone liberal enough, someone like say Andrew Jackson or Harry Truman? May it not be!
- Stevanoski, on 04/12/2008, -3/+7Democrats have never really bought into this democracy thing. Much more comfortable with dictators...hey, is there any dictator they don't adore?
- vinnyvenus, on 04/12/2008, -1/+3Democracy also means that Florida and Michigan'a vote should also be counted or they get redo. According to Obama supporters Super delegates should not decide democratic nomination but democrats should disfranchise Florida and Michigan. That's not how democracy works.
- Pherdnut, on 04/12/2008, -4/+1It's the primaries, not the general election. Even though it's the only way Hillary could win and I'm an Obama supporter, I think it makes sense that the rest of the party's elected reps should have extra weight in deciding which candidate should run as there are tactical considerations Joe-Six-Pack and Suzy-Cream-Cheese are less likely to wrap their heads around.
That said, it's still a stupid, overly-convoluted system. 50% popular vote, 50% Super Delegates (elected democrats only) would make more sense to me. That way the party can gauge public support and carefully consider whether it's worth going against it. They still run the risk of losing their next elections if they make an unpopular decision.- Stevanoski, on 04/12/2008, -1/+3Elitism par excellence. Why America doesn't trust the democrats.
- victorypup, on 04/12/2008, -2/+2LOL, we don't have a free election process. LLLLOL The Jokes on you Americans. Laugh it up. A merry heart doeth good like a medicine.
- KeepOffMyLawn, on 04/12/2008, -1/+2I highly doubt that the superdelegates will reverse any decision made through popular vote. It would rend the party in two, and would secure the election for Mr. McCain.
Still, I agree with those above that it's a stupid system, as it throws democracy out the window in favor of this group of people. - TheStinger, on 04/12/2008, -1/+0In most democratic countries, the parties themselves pick the leaders (but there are usually at least 4 major parties, so the people actually have more choice).
- Kent4jmj, on 04/12/2008, -2/+2Clinton, McCain, Obama, they are all psychopaths. Some body wake me up soon hasn't this nightmare has gone on long enough?

The party bosses on both sides have been trying to control things one way or another for years. That's why you should register with a party and raise some heck once in a while.- mejaredme, on 04/13/2008, -1/+1This is true. Unless American's are willing to take a stand, we will continued to be pushed--by both parties. Send the donation requests from both the RNC and the DNC back with a letter of why you won't be donation this year....
