(Actually, for me the "MISSPEAKING" about Bosnia was the last straw.Excuse me--misspeaking is saying you went to Bosnia TUESDAY when you went THURSDAY.

The Democratic Party should have slapped her back hard the first time she and Bill made their (not so) subtle comments about race. From where I'm sitting, every time she does it, it's as if she is pointing to Barack Obama and saying "White people won't vote for him". I am now convinced she and Bill are racists.

She thinks nothing of running her own party into the ground so that McCain can win and she can oppose him (possibly as an independent) in 2012. Lousy strategy, worse tactics, and entirely too much like Bush/Cheney in her desperation to grab power.

As an HRC supporter, I did yesterday make a huge change. I made Obama my friend.
I also am dropping my former position and doing what is best for the party. If you other Dems will still have me.

I, as a former New Yorker, born and raised in Brooklyn in 1952, certainly do NOT want her as Senator. It boggles the mind at the effort it takes to go from Democratic Royalty and having a premium brand name (Clinton) to being the party albatross. She's burning her bridges at an increasing rate, and the Clinton legacy is vaporizing faster than a water drop on a New York sidewalk in summer. If the positions were revered, could anyone imagine the outcry if people were telling Obama that he's made a good run but it's time to get over his failed run? No one has the right to make this decision except Hillary herself. The NYT is horribly wrong on the claims about negative and racial campaign. This campaign has been a lot more civilized than your average political race in recent years. The stuff we've seen from either side has been pretty harmless. Contrary to the claims Hillary "would say anything to get elected", she could say a lot of bad things about Obama but she never said he's not ready to be president or anything that can seriously hurt him in the general election.
Florida and Michigan must be seated. The Democratic party would sell out millions of its supporters if their votes are not counted. In which way this will happen is up to the DNC and it's legitimate there still to be some kind of penalty, for example reducing the number of state delegates but to refuse to recognize these two states altogether is a terrible mistake.
The NYT made one very good point. It's time for the "undecided" delegates to pick their side NOW. No more waiting to see which way will the counts go or trying to cut some self-serving deal. Choose and let the country and the campaigns know where they stand. If that's enough to make the choice now, it needs to happen. Otherwise it is not Hillary who's hurting the Dem chances against McCain (I don't buy that argument at all), it's the "undecided". -
We should just let the major media corporations pick our next president since they've been doing it unofficially for the last 20+ years. If Ron Paul got 1/10th of the media coverage of any of these candidates he'd be the next president.

I think things are getting pretty ugly now for Hill-dawg...as if it wasn't enough that superdelegates have been jumping ship, and that the math doesn't really add up anymore, now one of the most widely read editorialy pages in the country, who endorsed Clinton back in January, are basically sounding the bell for her to surrender.
Hopefully she listens. Although I wouldn't be surprised if she turns around tomorrow and calls the Times a left-wing rag...I really don't know what to expect from her anymore. She's a few more lies and racist remarks away from entering The Tyson Zone in my book. It's almost surreal watching her fall so hard. -

The NY Slimes was ready to endorse Obama, but ultimately Times chairman and publisher Arthur Sulzberger Jr. pushed through a Clinton endorsement. Sulzberger is buddies with private-equity manager Steven Rattner, who's a huge supporter. No matter, she's down the river now.. it's just a shame that facts can no longer be discussed because of political correctness.

Hillary would rather see McCain win than Obama. That would give her a chance to win in 2012, while if Obama were in office, she would have no chance to unseat the Democratic incumbent. If Obama wins, Hillary is done for good. If McCain wins, she can come back in 2012. Isn't this obvious by now?

I can almost assure you that gives not a whit about what you, I, or anythings thinks. This is purely a power trip. Not to mention, that she believes she can pull it off... If you think your opinion of the situation affects Her thinking, in the slightest, you are sadly mistaken. She has more drive than even the strongest CEOs, and will not back off until she is shoved off the wagon...... And maybe not even then!!!!! I abhor the woman, and her husband, but have give her the credit for more balls than 95% of the Males who are currently in charge of things..... If she can find a lever to beat on Obama, then that is all it will take for her to keep it up.
I do not wish her well, but I think she deserves great respect, whether one likes her or not........

Any analysis of racial overtones in this election is incomplete without noting that landslide margins among black voters are behind Barack Obama wins in many states. In many districts, you have 92% of black voters voting for Obama. Surely that is evidence racial overtones as well?

I really want Chuck Hagel to be VP. he'd be perfect for a unifying "purple" ticket.
- decorated war veteran (Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry, Purple Heart, Army Commendation Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge.)
- moderate republican (don't get scared, he's actually brilliant) who is outspoken against the current administration and is against the war (strong "purple" ticket, perfect for Obama's message of change and unity. It would be an unbeatably bold and revolutionary move.)
- experience in the business sector, made millions building small companies into big healthy ones (would make Romneys tired point about the need for private sector experience moot.
- he wins his elections in landslides
- strong persuasive speaker, highly rational, not-your-average-republican, strong social values, would put Mcsame's "maverick" title to shame.
- famous for working steadily across the isle and being balanced and fair in his judgements. thinks partisan bickering and instant judgments of individuals based on political titles (republican, democrat) is childish and an embarrassment to the political process.
- he has "the look" which is very important in todays media saturated age, he's handsome, greying (suggesting the wise elder) carrys himself like a general, like one of those goodlooking older men in magazine ads for old spice ;) but always with a heart of gold to round out Obamas ticket.
- he's a "fighter", which obama needs, but in the most diginified sense of the word. watch his bold lecture to politicians on iraq:
