Rudy Giuliani Floats Dick Cheney For Vice President
thinkprogress.org — In an event in New Hampshire last night, Rudy Giuliani suggested that -- if he were to be elected president -- he would like to choose someone like Dick Cheney to be his Vice President. "In an answer that mentioned Cheney more than once, Giuliani said, 'A vice president has to be a partner in the administration.'"

- Fafnir43, on 01/04/2008, -0/+7Unfortunately, that doesn't mean anything - he decided not to campaign in Iowa or New Hampshire, and he's going for the late-voting states. It's crazy, yes, but it's the sort of crazy that's unaffected by defeat in Iowa.

Were the Presidential race genuine Obama and Co would be pounding away at this sort of thing, and at Hilary over Vince Foster and Arkinsaw Flu, the Senate link to the Kennedy assasination via Arlen Specter who signed the Warren Commission report, similarly as an accomplice, since he allowed BS to replace truth... LHO could not have fired at Kennedy, he was seen and photographed at the door of The TSBD as the first shot rang out, this evidence like the President's sighting of the first air strike on the towers in Florida can bring the whole lot down quicker than Building 7. So why is it not on the news!!
BB's assassination was a blatant act of false flag murder, and a crime of such inordinate brutality, that all good thinking persons must keep the truth ball rolling... The spammers have a lot to lose, like their necks if the four thousand absent Jews on 911, and the Mossad involvement in put options that made hundreds of millions of dollars were to become flavor of the month in America. - kete00, on 01/04/2008, -2/+3I see what you did there.

- SzaszMan, on 01/04/2008, -0/+8Dream on. Last poll I saw showed Guiliani barely 2% ahead of Huckabee in Florida. After getting the ***** kicked out of him in Iowa, he's going to have exactly zero momentum heading into Florida.
- Ryosen, on 01/04/2008, -0/+1By "double-digits", here's hoping you meant "10".
- alvinrod, on 01/04/2008, -1/+12Clinton only got something like 3% in Iowa in 1992, so I don't think it's entirely fair to count him out yet.
- TheEducated, on 01/04/2008, -2/+1That's because Clinton was running against someone (Harkin) who's home state was Iowa....
# February 10, 1992 - Tom Harkin (76%), "Uncommitted" (12%), Paul Tsongas (4%), Bill Clinton (3%), Bob Kerrey (2%) and Jerry Brown (2%)
It's comparable to Kucinich running against Obama in Illinois.... no chance.
Rudy is just plain awful which is why he will not be the Republican nominee.
The race is between Romney, McCain, and Paul...
Huckabee doesn't have a shot.

- MacEnvy, on 01/04/2008, -0/+10I wish America looked a little more like JFK, to be honest.
- DestroyFascism, on 01/04/2008, -3/+1Huh? like 6 feet under?

- mranderson86, on 01/04/2008, -0/+2That's facecrime! Not In Giuliani's America.... that's punisable by Gitmo or another unknown location where tapes are distroyed by tape boarding... tape boarding consists of feeding the tape of your own torture down your throat to coerce information out of you.
- patrickxbateman, on 01/04/2008, -0/+1nice facepalm
- funkywood, on 01/05/2008, -1/+2Cool. But please don't make a habit of it. Can you imagine Digg if everyone did it?
- birdly, on 01/04/2008, -0/+6Cut your own throat much, Rudy?
- sensoukami, on 01/04/2008, -2/+9The only interest I have in the word "float" and Dick Cheney is if his corpse is floating down the river after being slowly tortured....the most evil scum in American politics (and I'm a fan of Ronald Reagan, so it ain't like I'm a lefty (god forbid))
- popfrogs, on 01/04/2008, -0/+3Ronald Reagan was a democracy-hating scumbag just like Cheney. Well, I shouldn't say "just like" Cheney, because Reagan took a bullet while Cheney delivered some buckshot to the face of some old lawyer, but there are definitely similarities.
Remember Reaganomics? How about the School of the Americas? Or any of the other covert ***** the CIA carried out on Reagan's watch. He was a continuation of the zeitgeist; a well-spoken actor who looked like your grandpa and sounded nice on TV.- sensoukami, on 01/04/2008, -3/+2Cold War dude, Cold War. And Reagonomics gets an unfairly bad rap by people who don't know *****. Reagan was a simpleton, but at that time and place, he fit the situation. Government was too big and Communism had to be faced down. It was all he understood, and it was enough, and it was correct. Also, there was nothing like the blatant undermining of American democracy that has taken place under Bush. Reagan's was no worse than any American politician in those things....
- Wartyboskfapped, on 01/04/2008, -0/+3Reaganomics was claptrap. And Reagan had ***** to do with ending the Cold War.

- BlacklabelSAR, on 01/04/2008, -0/+1I'm with you on Bush/Cheney, but Reagan just told Americans what they wanted to hear. When you see homeless veterans on the street, thank Reagan. And also, the "I fail to recall" loophole was a terrible precedent.

- effinboy, on 01/04/2008, -2/+3Be careful there Rudy, he'll shoot you in the face!
- soulkitchen, on 01/04/2008, -0/+4Is there such a thing as MORE-unelectable?
- iblaine, on 01/04/2008, -3/+6Yea...buried for being false. No part of the article quotes Rudy as saying Cheney would be considered.
- DtotheC34, on 01/04/2008, -3/+1what the hell is he thinking?
im soooo glad he only got 4%, there is hope yet for the republican party.- mithrasinvictus, on 01/04/2008, -0/+1so, saying something stupid like this actually makes the other guys look good? I wouldn't have thought anyone would fall for that.
- bowens44, on 01/04/2008, -1/+3Hope for the republican party? You're kidding , right? They had their shot . They controlled congress for 12 years and the presidency for six of those years and they don't have a single accomplishment to their credit. They do however have scandals and failures in great abundance. The republican party has made itself irrelevant. The fact that Huckabee won in Iowa is a good indication that they intend to stay the course no matter how disastrous that course may be.
- DtotheC34, on 01/05/2008, -0/+0there are republicans out there that are not crazy. ill admit that the party's candidates are lacking lately, but i still hold republican beliefs. i don't mean to drag Ron Paul into this but he is the best example of what I as a Republican believe in.
And the Republican Party hasn't screwed up so bad, just gwb has. he has turned his back on his party.

- tehxen3, on 01/04/2008, -7/+1Awesome!! Dick Cheney understands foreign policy.
- peestandingup, on 01/04/2008, -0/+5God, what a ***** scum bag.
- Malarie, on 01/04/2008, -0/+9Am I the only one who thinks Rudy is trying to get more $upport from the Corrupt Corporate Facist Elite by saying that?
- INTERNETMASTER, on 01/04/2008, -2/+4it's unlikely he could even serve another 4-8 years as VP because of his health
- popfrogs, on 01/04/2008, -0/+2Pssh, know you nothing of Sith mythology? Dark Lords are basically a demonic energy that inhabit a body. You saw when Palpatine exercised the dark side of the force, how it aged him and jacked up his face right? Well, the more you use the dark side, the closer your body gets to death. However when it gets close enough, you can transfer your evil energy to a fresh body. At least, that's what 5 minutes of reading a post-episode 6 comic book taught me.
So by that reasoning, Cheney is probably hundreds of years old, it's only his body that's 65 or so, and he'll get transplanted into a fresh clone when the time comes. Something about those frequent hospital visits doesn't add up, nor does the man-sized safe in his office. - redone, on 01/04/2008, -0/+04 to 8 *minutes* more of Buckshot's "service" is too much!

- tsotha, on 01/04/2008, -6/+1Oh, yeah. I'm sure Rudy was really worried about the reaction Digg truthers would have about this.
- gottadiggit, on 01/05/2008, -0/+1Much like, we care what you think.
- rosullivan, on 01/04/2008, -0/+9FAIL!

- xboxfiend, on 01/04/2008, -1/+6This team-up would give new meaning to the term "Double Penetration".
- totorototoro, on 01/04/2008, -1/+5hahahahahahah. damn, hope he keeps talking positively about Cheney. Just brings his demise that much closer, that much sooner.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!— - Onetrack, on 01/04/2008, -0/+1Cheney is the one in control, the monkey you guys currently have as a president is only a figurehead and someone to give speeches to neocon supporters. Cheney is the real man behind the curtain, and is probably offering ghouliani millions in dollars and his own country if Ghouli supports him back into another term as vp.
The VP is the one with the power. - HimThatSpeaks, on 01/04/2008, -4/+2I might have to say that is good news to me. Nothing but good news recently. Kucinivich backs Obama and maybe could be VP (I only think that would be a good idea, never heard it anywhere), Hillary is losing which is good news. There are no strong republican canidates, Gooliani is toast, the Neocon movement is exposed and in relative shambles, and Ron Paul is on his way up. I personally would not vote for Ron Paul unless he was running as VP, (personal reasons).
