- betterth, on 12/04/2007, -2/+50Good to hear his views on abortion, and even if I disagree, I wholeheartedly support the notion that the federal government should not control something like this. The point of state government is to better govern each local area according to the views of it's citizens. This is the perfect example of states rights.
- MasterLevi, on 12/04/2007, -1/+7I had never thought of Ron Paul as being fatherly, but since they mentioned it, I think I will from now on.
- bkvandal, on 12/05/2007, -0/+2I agree, this really shows how stupid people can be and how easily people are confused in arguing legal vs. moral position. People say they're for small government, when many are only for it when it benefits them. Nobody complains whether there's a federal law on murder, death penalty and marriage, yet abortion gets special attention.
- malakite33, on 12/04/2007, -1/+71What a ***** joke. The interview was EXACTLY what I expected from those idiots. "You aren't going to win anyway so who would you vote for?" Wow, I honestly had no hope that this would be a good interview and I was exactly right. Ron Paul did a great job considering how they avoided any real issue of substance.
- MasterLevi, on 12/04/2007, -0/+18They are so stupid. That's why only people that have no lives actually sit and watch The View on a regular basis.
- Tomchei, on 12/04/2007, -1/+4About 4.5 million people with no lives
- justineatworld, on 12/05/2007, -0/+4damn straight. which means they have an untapped market of about 200 million americans
- Tomchei, on 12/04/2007, -1/+4About 4.5 million people with no lives
- shadash, on 12/04/2007, -1/+7A bunch of Kackeling Hens if you asked me
- malakite33, on 12/04/2007, -0/+2my thoughts exactly
- bkvandal, on 12/05/2007, -2/+2They're women, what COULD you expect?
- kamikazebirds, on 12/06/2007, -1/+1If you think ignoring the rights of more than half the population is not a "real issue of substance," you've got some judgment problems.
- MasterLevi, on 12/04/2007, -0/+18They are so stupid. That's why only people that have no lives actually sit and watch The View on a regular basis.
- Astlin, on 12/04/2007, -2/+15That was great. I wish he had more time to discuss his other positions.
- biofusion, on 12/04/2007, -2/+70I'm really sick of the 'you have no chance of winning' line. Honestly, I'm not saying that it isn't a far stretch to grab the nomination, but still, show some damn respect.
- Groovemaster, on 12/04/2007, -9/+7I agree 100% but the sad fact is, they're right.
The corporate controlled mainsteam media tells the majority of Americans (who have been brought up in a society designed to keep them ignorant and mindless) who they want to vote for.
All they need to do is lie by saying "Candidate X is a frontrunner" and "Candidate Y has no chance", while keeping the whole "War on Terror" joke alive, and the unquestioning dronelike masses just go along with it.- shadash, on 12/04/2007, -1/+6Umm they are not right. People are just starting to get to know Ron Paul. Nearly every person I've spoken with said that once they've been introduced to Ron they like him. (Republican and Democrat alike)
- Groovemaster, on 12/04/2007, -0/+5I like him too. If he's as honest as he seems (and as an American politician, that would single him out to be an extremely rare exception) he's basically the only hope America has.
The fact is, though, that the corporations that control the mainstream media have a tremendous say in who becomes president, and have a huge influence on the vast majority of Americans to the point where they have the final say on who has a chance at the presidency and who doesn't.
- Groovemaster, on 12/04/2007, -0/+5I like him too. If he's as honest as he seems (and as an American politician, that would single him out to be an extremely rare exception) he's basically the only hope America has.
- JohnFromChicago, on 12/05/2007, -0/+3I agree with you to a point. I will not concede the election because the media won't sell it. If I didn't truly believe Ron Paul was going to win, I would feel pretty hopeless. I believe the American people are waking up ... the revolution is shaking them one at a time. By the time the actual elections are being held, the RP revolution will have gone well past critical mass, and something very historic will happen. It needs to happen, so I will make it happen. WE THE PEOPLE will make it happen.
- shadash, on 12/04/2007, -1/+6Umm they are not right. People are just starting to get to know Ron Paul. Nearly every person I've spoken with said that once they've been introduced to Ron they like him. (Republican and Democrat alike)
- TypeEE, on 12/04/2007, -0/+5I agree, where else would you see a race and you talk to a contestant, "Hey, you are not going to win, but who will win?"
- Cleaner44, on 12/04/2007, -0/+14Ron Paul most definetly has a chance of winning. McCain and Thompson are the two long shots. Ron Paul dominates in the straw polls, debate polls, fund raising, web traffic and grass roots networking. Please visit www.thecaseforronpaul.com and judge for yourself.
- Groovemaster, on 12/04/2007, -9/+7I agree 100% but the sad fact is, they're right.
- BobaFettTDG, on 12/04/2007, -1/+31I was curious to see how this would turn out, considering the hosts of The View are some of the most sickeningly ignorant people I've ever seen.
- feshmania, on 12/04/2007, -0/+8I wonder if they realize that the President, constitutionally, has very little say in abortion
- hunnybee38, on 12/05/2007, -0/+3I second and third that! I went to their web site and sent a email. I think we need to speak up more and hold the bought and paid for people accountable.
- maz2331, on 12/04/2007, -0/+29Not bad... he didn't let them run away with slams and kept to his positions. Resolute without being rude... nice.
- aki009, on 12/04/2007, -1/+18Awesome. Rarely do I listen to every word that a politician says, and rarely does every word make perfect sense.
- brheath, on 12/04/2007, -1/+32what's sad is that Ron Paul got more exposer time on The View (about 8 minutes) than on the CNN/Youtube Republican debate...
- Spectre74, on 12/04/2007, -2/+25The audience was quit. The audience was THINKING. The audience saw him. He was on TV. He accomplished the goal.
- Spectre74, on 12/04/2007, -2/+4The audience was *quiet
- MasterLevi, on 12/04/2007, -2/+1I agree.
- austenw, on 12/04/2007, -0/+21You just see in his eyes and hesitation that he's so sick of that statement. "You know you're not gonna win."
It makes me sad that people say things like that because it just shows that we're so used to getting the shaft when it comes to politicians, it's unthinkable that there could be a genuinely good person in office. - mediaspree, on 12/04/2007, -11/+5Damn I was hoping they'd ask him if the world was round or flat, I wanted the Constitutional answer.
- alphaterminus, on 12/04/2007, -4/+6I logged in just to say "***** you."
- BlackMagic2, on 12/04/2007, -1/+2mediaspree, you don't understand the Constitution. It rarely goes into specifics. It is very general, it describes how the US government should be run... Please tell me what article of the Constitution states that the world is either round or flat?
And then tell me where after science has evolved, that the supreme court can not rule otherwise? - mediaspree, on 12/05/2007, -0/+3er, uh just to defend myself. The retard on the View sitting to Ron Pauls left did not know whether the world was round or flat...I was trying to make a joke? Ok, bye.
- EtherRemembers, on 12/04/2007, -2/+6What a downfall interview for Dr. Paul. He cannot be cast into a good light when he appears on a show that has absolutely no credentials. Of course four estrogen charged women are going to plug the whole interview with anti-abortion jargon and not get to more important issues such as the war or taxes.
- chronically420, on 12/04/2007, -0/+4uhh, actually abortion is one of the big issues. why do you think mitt romney is getting slammed so hard on his flip flopping views on it? there's a lot of attention towards abortion.
- armor, on 12/06/2007, -0/+1big is not the same thing as important
- MindStalker, on 12/04/2007, -1/+2Credentials? Oh come up, he needs media exposure. He got it! He even got a decent chance to share his opinions. Thats more than most Credentialed media has provided him.
Credentials don't mean anything nowadays, hell blog websites are being invited to Presidential press briefings for pete's sake.
- chronically420, on 12/04/2007, -0/+4uhh, actually abortion is one of the big issues. why do you think mitt romney is getting slammed so hard on his flip flopping views on it? there's a lot of attention towards abortion.
- ndnspongebob, on 12/04/2007, -1/+25"I'm a mindless drone in America, I just want to win, I don't care about the issues"
If this election doesn't put Ron Paul in the White House, Mexico is going to have an illegal immigration problem.- someguyouknow, on 12/04/2007, -1/+5I am brushing up on my spanish right now. French as well in case i decide to head up north to Canada.
I don't know if I could survive a Guiliani Administration... and its people like Elizabet Hasselbeck that are the main problem. She still does support Bush.- NeoSporin, on 12/05/2007, -1/+1The only thing I am wondering is that, if you did move to Canada, why in gods name would you go to the French province!
- KyleGoetz, on 12/10/2007, -0/+1Parlez vous francais? vs. JEEZUS KARAIIIST, EH.
Take your pick... ;)
Kidding. I got nothing but love for my northern brothers.

- Elderon, on 12/04/2007, -0/+11I'm getting sick of this abortion crap. I understand that it is important, BUT abortion does not affect all of us. I want to hear more questions asked about more important things right now. We're coming up to what could possibly be the worst depression we've ever seen. Our dollar has gone to *****, we're bogged down in a unjustified war thats sucking up not only our money but the lives of our soldiers as well as the innocent iraqi people and yet all that anyone seems to bring up is "OMG YOUR AGAINST ABORTION!?!".
- BlackMagic2, on 12/04/2007, -2/+2It does affect a lot of women though. Just the type of women who watch the view.
- shadash, on 12/04/2007, -0/+22If you think Ron Paul is not going to receive the Republican nomination why is he on your show? Why do you agree with everything he says?
*Sidenote... Did everyone hear the gasps that came out of the audience after that kackeling hen said Ron Paul doesn't have a chance in getting the nomination? - etherreal, on 12/04/2007, -0/+4Not the best interview I have seen (Candidates@Google and the McNeil-Lehrer interviews have been the best) but educational nonetheless.
- GoKings, on 12/04/2007, -0/+7Pretty garbage interview. They didn't get to the real issues, instead they babbled about abortion for 5 minutes. What about Iraq? What about the Patriot act? What about Iran? The questions were garbage, and the interview was garbage. What Paul really needs to do is that MTV thing like McCain did. It gives real people a chance to ask their questions, and gives him... and just him... a chance to answer the questions.
- TypeEE, on 12/04/2007, -0/+3Their audiences are soccer moms, if you get into real politics, their viewers will switch channel.
- n8o8, on 12/04/2007, -0/+13It will be interesting to see how this compares to how they treat other candidates..."Oh Mitt, we just love your hair, what products do you use?" ect...
This interview was a beartrap and Paul handled it as graciously and professionally as possible.- TypeEE, on 12/04/2007, -0/+3An to Rudy, oh, I love your baldness
- Tangeuray, on 12/04/2007, -0/+7He won some woman votes there no doubt.
- iupetre, on 12/04/2007, -0/+18They are a bunch of cackling hens!
fat jewish chick: "What do you think about this?"
Ron Paul: "That's not the responsibility of the feder-"
Whoopie: "Ron Paul! What about this!?!?-"
fat black chick: "My uterus is screaming!!!" - RickNHouston, on 12/04/2007, -0/+9OK! So is that it then? It's over? No need to write anymore letters? wave anymore signs? Knock any more doors? Stand on any more windy overpasses? Spend anymore of my grandkids christmas fund? These fat assed blabber mouths that, with the exception of Whoopi Goldberg and Baba Wawa, I have never even heard of have decided the outcome of this election and now we can all go back to doing whatever it was we were doing before Ron Paul, and his vision of hope grabbed ahold us and gave us a reason! You mean I don't have to worry anymore about tomorrow? I can trust that the lives of my grandchildren and great grandchildren will forever be saved ? .......... NOT! Coffee break's over, people! We got a job to do so get off your lazy asses and get it done!
Ron Paul to the WhiteHouse in 2008!
YES !!! - RickNHouston, on 12/04/2007, -0/+4Whoopi Goldberg of Hollywood Squares .... give me a break!
- mactaggart, on 12/05/2007, -0/+2Whoopi seems to be a little overly confident in her ability to correct the 10 term congressman on federal law...
- GhostyBoy, on 12/04/2007, -0/+5Honestly you know your show has a problem when you get rid of Rosie O'Donnell for making too much sense.
- vbullinger, on 12/04/2007, -0/+0Wow, he really should have focused on the federal government not meddling with the states' rights and different states and cultures having different opinions as opposed to saying abortion is bad. Point is, he doesn't want the federal government saying you can or can't do something, respecting the tenth amendment.

I guess it's hard to be the first to post Ron Paul stuff... he's getting so popular. - jask0, on 12/05/2007, -0/+10Wow, that was the WORST ***** interview I've ever seen. What a waste of Ron's time. They focused on the issue of abortion for about 5 minutes and then asked him about immigration policies and the fence borders.... that was completely pathetic. and the nerve of that lady to bring him on the show to say that he's not going to win?? Seriously. ***** her.
- civdis24, on 12/05/2007, -0/+5wow, ***** the view
- atomic811, on 12/05/2007, -0/+4I watch the view after that I won't be anymore.
- newinvestor123, on 12/05/2007, -0/+2Yep, that was the most pathetic Ron Paul interview to date. They covered two relatively small issues and neglected the truly important ones entirely. What a crock of ***** - The View should try that one again, and the next time, PLEASE GIVE A *****.
- Qtip42, on 12/05/2007, -0/+5Man that bitch had to go there with the "you're not going to win" thing. Makes me want to send angry letters to her people. Where the heck do you get off? Way to show the world how absolutely stupid you really are. Cover the less important issues then bash him.....how rude.
- Bodhinature, on 12/05/2007, -0/+4I think he handled that well. I wish they didn't spend so much time on the minutia of such a contentious issue like abortion. They spent like 5 minutes on that, when, bottom line, they didn't understand that he didn't want to make it illegal, he just wanted the states to mandate the legality of it. Most people don't seem to get that. Our culture has trained us to think in black or white.
- Qtip42, on 12/05/2007, -0/+1He always handles himself very professionally. I wish he'd just stop one of these ladies from talking for a second just to explain why their logic is wrong and see what they can counter with...besides bickering and twirling their hair.
- hfxadv, on 12/05/2007, -0/+1where did the other real black fat chick go?
- Qtip42, on 12/05/2007, -0/+1they replaced her with another token fat black woman with no real opinions of her own.
.....I like how the non-existant women to the right of RP just randomly chime in with "but then it makes the women drive to another state which is expensive" ...or something to that effect. Their arguments make about as much sense as that show continuing to air on national television.
- Qtip42, on 12/05/2007, -0/+1they replaced her with another token fat black woman with no real opinions of her own.
- 1town, on 12/05/2007, -0/+1What a horrible, horrible show. Whoopie is the only person I can stand on that panel, but that whole interview was a hench-job.
- NSResponder, on 12/05/2007, -0/+1Ron Paul did an excellent job of torpedoing their ambush.
-jcr - MaybellineSP, on 12/05/2007, -0/+3This is so stupid. I feel so bad for Ron Paul. He pretty much had to sit through a conversation about politics with retarded people who have never read a book. It's like a professor at Harvard having to teach a 9th grade ethics class.
- adwarereport, on 12/06/2007, -0/+2I talked to a Republican campaigner this weekend who has worked on a few campaigns. Having heard the digg partyline that only 10% of voters turn out for the primaries, I asked if this was indeed the case. He told me that this percentage was high ... it was probably no more than 5-8%. Given that Ron Paul supporters are going to turn out in much greater numbers, I do actually think that he has a good shot of winning the nomination. I'm really surprised to hear myself saying that.
