- skiwv, on 02/05/2008, -2/+20What an intelligent move by the Ron Paul campaign!!! Score!!!
- virginiakid, on 02/05/2008, -2/+12nice!
- HurricaneB, on 02/05/2008, -2/+18I was at the Convention and had a blast even though Paul didn't win. BUT... He did better than Romney and McCain who received zero delegates.
- dkm201, on 02/05/2008, -10/+4Aww, that's cute.
- rmtatum, on 02/06/2008, -1/+3It would be nice if you stopped supporting tyrannical government. Nevertheless, I've read the holy scriptures. Tyranny ALWAYS fails! Ron Paul Revolution!!!
- WMDavies, on 02/05/2008, -2/+13That's sweet! And, Huckabee has the lowest total of the other three; very smart!
- JordanTW90, on 02/05/2008, -2/+16The RP campaign knows how to win an election. Its certainly not by conventional wisdom, but they get the job done.
- Crazychipmunk, on 02/05/2008, -2/+17...And CNN is reporting that McCain campaign was the deal maker. No surprise here.
- mickyji, on 02/05/2008, -2/+8How come we don't see the 3 delegates under Ron Paul? I see all of them (18) under Huckabee...
- lvp1138, on 02/05/2008, -3/+3You won't see them. The media reports things to their own convenience. In fact, all the media is reporting is that Romney and Huck gave speeches, and that it was McCain's help that made Huck win. When in fact Ron Paul was also there and it was also Ron Paul who helped make this happen.
- Tominellay, on 02/05/2008, -0/+2That's not the reason; the reason is that Huck won 18, and they are officially Huck's delegates. Huck has cut a deal to give RP 3 of them, off the record...
- mickyji, on 02/06/2008, -1/+3Wouldn't that be illegal to not report Ron Paul's numbers?
Btw, just got back from voting -- felt awesome when I checked Ron Paul's name!!! My first ever vote in 30 years! Go Dr Paul!- MacMan88, on 02/06/2008, -0/+2nah.
again, officially, the delegates are huckabee's. however, since delegates (in this case) aren't binded and can change their vote at the convention, huckabee's campaign made a deal with ron paul to give 3 of his delegates at the national convention. kinda like a "i scratch your back, you scratch mine" deal.

- lvp1138, on 02/05/2008, -3/+10This was a good plan from the beginning... Mitt Romney was getting almost 50% of the vote and that would have given him all delegates. By Paul's supporters voting for Huckabee, McCain and Romney were eliminated *and* the chance for a brokered convention increases, by keeping more candidates running.
- Tominellay, on 02/06/2008, -2/+1Exactly right. McCain and Romney each come out with zero. RP, though, salvages 3 delegates from a convention in which he ran dead last. This is huge!
- avengingturnip, on 02/05/2008, -3/+1The scuttlebutt is that Huckabee has already cut a deal with McCain to throw his delegates McCain's way in exchange for the vice-presidency. In light of that, this was a no lose deal for McCain. It keeps delegates away from Romney and he still gets most of them back later.
- Mizzike, on 02/06/2008, -2/+3All of this delegate ***** is confusing to me. Where can I go to get educated?
- GoatRoper, on 02/06/2008, -5/+6Buried as "what difference does it make" :)
Thanks for the link off of rp forums!; http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?t=1124 ... - ElKabong61, on 02/06/2008, -2/+2I emailed CNN and told them to correct their misinformation. I said, "If you don't believe me, Google this!" The MSM sucks!
- ssn697, on 02/06/2008, -6/+4This just in: Ron Paul agrees to wash Romney's car, and mow McCains lawn for a delegate.
The dude can't win a delegate on his own. Time to get resourceful!- CBound, on 02/06/2008, -2/+2Ron Paul has won a few delegates outright already even before Super Tuesday.
- BrandonMills, on 02/06/2008, -3/+33 delegates! :)
Wow. I was going to say that Ron Paul's fans had totally lost touch with reality, but I guess that doesn't need to be said. Just wow...from "He's gonna win!", to "5th is alright!", to "OMG Ron Paul just got table scraps for votes!" - Anon020, on 02/06/2008, -0/+0ron paul didnt get a single vote in the state of west virginia... or at least CNN says so
- rocketman42, on 02/06/2008, -3/+1So Ron Paul fans are happy about helping Huckabee, Mr. I-don't-believe-in-gravity, win the state? I don't understand why that is a good thing. Three delegates doesn't get you very close to the 1,100 needed. Seems like selling your soul to the devil.
- JeffDaiell, on 02/06/2008, -0/+2 Huck's win in West Virginia, and elsewhere, means the Republican contest still isn't wrapped up. If Dr. Paul can continue to take some delegate slots here and there, he may be in a position to demand some platform changes at the convention. Otherwise, there will be, as usual, nothing for advocates of small/limited government to be pleased about coming out of the two taxpayer-financed conventions. --- Jeff Daiell www.JeffDaiell.com
- amckalip, on 02/06/2008, -0/+0The Huckster denied on CNN last night that any deal was made with the McCain or Ron Paul people. Now, on C-SPAN (Wed morning), a caller couldn't understand why it was showing Ron Paul with 0% in WV. Ezra Klein, the guest, was clueless and answered that it was a projection based on exit polls. Nothing was said about the Huckabee/Paul deal for delegates. Has this been reported anywhere in the MSM?

- dreepa, on 02/06/2008, -0/+295% of the people don't understand how a caucus works...they are arcane rules and etc etc... of course the media doesn't understand them either and although the rules are crazy and 'unfair'... they aren't illegal as these are 'private groups' (political parties) although of course they are using public money for the elections.
www.ronpaulhq.com- pendragon304, on 02/08/2008, -0/+1we in WV didn't use one dime of public money for our Convention - and 'twas a representative democratic process - not so "arcane" methinks - out of fashion maybe
agreed; the media doesn't understand Conventions or Caucasus, as most people don't - we are not supposed to - even though we have been having them here in America for 200+ years, the blessings of socialist government education leaves one not knowing - socialists know that knowledge is power; that is why we are not supposed to have any. Learn and have the power to resist tyranny.

- JanColdwater, on 02/06/2008, -0/+1How can WE THE PEOPLE sway MORE of those Delegates? I found a list for them and some of them even had addresses! Should we mail them Ron's record along with a copy of "The Money Masters" and America, Freedom to Fascism?
- mongoSxC, on 02/06/2008, -0/+1mailing that stuff may not be the best way to go about it, but for sure you should call them or go knock on their door and have a friendly conversation= with them and explain to them about Dr. Paul's platform. It's a good idea to rally as many people we can who are politically involved becuase these are the people most likely to go to the local conventions and vote for delegates.
