Ron Paul Attacked Locally
charlotteconservative.com — “Dr. Paul has always put his country first, much to his own degredation. For 20 years he has been mocked and scorned in Congress by his peers. As a Presidential candidate he has been called a clown, a joke, a kook, a terrorist-sympathizer, a racist and every other epithet that enemies of freedom could come up with. And yet he persists.

- kfed2, on 02/15/2008, -3/+10He isn’t getting anything out of this for himself, other than the satisfaction that he is helping preserve the freedoms of his countrymen and his posterity. He’s going all the way to the Republican convention to fight for us and our beliefs, in spite of the odds against him winning. That is integrity.

I'm an atheist who supports gay rights, the separation of church and state and a woman's right to control her body.
Ron Paul doesn't give a ***** my beliefs. In fact, he wants to allow states to attack them and prevent the Supreme Court from protecting them. That's not integrity. It's ***** cowardice.
The only reason he has yet to concede, barring the relatively likely possibility that he's actually senile, is to prolong the collective hummer his followers have been administering for the past few months.- jrskblx125, on 02/16/2008, -2/+6hes completely for gay rights... and seperation of church and state, but something tells me we have bigger fish to fry than abortion. but its not his place to make a law about it... its the states, thats what the constitution says... so stop whining or move.
- ncairns, on 02/16/2008, -5/+2No. He's not.
Read the 'We the People Act'.- tsos2, on 02/18/2008, -0/+1First, are you even an American? If not why the hell are you even sticking your nose into American issues?
"If made law, the Act would forbid federal courts (including the Supreme Court) from hearing cases on subjects such as the display of religious text and imagery on government property, abortion, sexual practices, and same-sex marriage, unless those cases were a challenge to the constitutionality of federal law. It would also make federal court decisions on those subjects non-binding as precedent in state courts, and would prohibit federal courts from spending any money to enforce their judgments."
I don't see any gay bashing anywhere, does anyone else? All I see is an effort to get the federal government out of our business.

"In fact, he wants to allow states to attack them and prevent the Supreme Court from protecting them. That's not integrity. It's ***** cowardice."
OR
He wants to allow the states to defend them and prevent the Supreme Court from exceeding its jurisdiction. That's not your normal political double talk. Thats bravery.
Your comment supports mob rule. My comment supports the rule of law.
